I bought the Jersey Bamboo Multi-Way Hijab based off a recommendation on TikTok from a woman who said she wears it for running. I have tried different hijabs for running but they never stay on properly. This one was amazing! Did not move an inch on my 5km run! So comfortable as well. Absolutely love it and will be purchasing more! Thank you so much!

I love everything about Lyra. From swimwear to day wear to active wear and their hijab collections are just so fab. The fabrics are to die for. So buttery and airy esp on hot days everyday here in Southeast Asia. Not to mention their delivery is tip top. Chef kiss!

I bought the swim top and leggings for a holiday in Kerala where I wanted to swim without offending local customs. Also for sun coverage.

Both the top and leggings were fantastic - perfect to wear to stroll to the beach in, swim, then after minimal drying time to a cafe on beach side for coffee/brunch. They were also perfect for kayaking trips because I didn’t have to worry about being wet and uncomfortable, and if I felt like a swim or just having my legs in the water I could easily do that.

Most of the time, modesty wasn’t an issue as people were wearing all kinds of outfits, but I did go to one beach which wasn’t usual for swimming, and I was really grateful for the extra coverage. It’s also SO much easier to slip into these than keep covering with sunscreen, which can also damage marine life. I am a total convert, thanks Lyra.

I am 5 foot 4 / 164cm tall and weigh about 68kg, and I bought the large leggings and medium swim top. The waist band of the leggings could be slightly higher, but as the top was long, it was totally fine even when bending in and out of kayak.

I initially bought the swim top in large but I sent it back for an M with no issues. It did fit, but had a slightly looser look and I preferred tighter, to reduce drag when swimming. If your goal is modesty you may prefer to size up. However I think I probably also could have fit the S to reduce drag when swimming even more. Overall I’m happy with M and had no issues swapping sizes.

The customer service was excellent, I put in the incorrect address and immediately realised and emailed them. They corrected it immediately and confirmed they did. Usually other places take forever to do that. When I got my package they had added a few bonus items which was so lovely of them. The swimsuits were absolutely stunning, they fit so well, the fabric is fantastic and the designs are just gorgeous. So happy!!

Love love love this piece. I initially bought it in Teal and then reordered again and got the Lavendar one as well. Lyra please restock this in black and red in 3XL!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe it’s equally important to acknowledge when a matter is resolved fairly.

I purchased the Sofia Classic Nude swimsuit (£110) and later returned it using LYRA’s approved Royal Mail QR return process. Initially, there was a long delay and confusion regarding the condition of the returned items, and for several months the situation remained unresolved, which was understandably frustrating.

However, after further communication and clarification, LYRA reviewed the circumstances and have now issued a full refund as a gesture of goodwill.

I truly appreciate that the team took the time to listen and ultimately bring this matter to a fair conclusion. While the process took longer than expected, I’m grateful for the respectful and understanding way the situation was handled in the end.

Bad quality, Poor customer service, luxury price!
I had seen the ads for Lyra modest everywhere especially their swim wear. I was going on holiday and had my eye on a set, hijab and abaya cover up, nearly £200 pounds worth of items. Being a student I had to save up money to buy it and was really looking forward to using it as I love going swimming but could not find anything which covered me properly. Everything was fine until after the 3rd time wearing the costume I realised the item had small almost like tears, bobbles in the fabric. I was really upset as this cost me a lot and I was really looking forward to using this swim wear for a long time. I followed the washing instructions and this still happened! When coming back I emailed Lyra modest only to be met with slow replies and in the was told they would only give me 20% gift card (WHICH WAS NEVER GIVEN) as generosity. This is really unacceptable and does not fall in line with the UK consumers rights acts. They have since ignored my emails and refused to come to a better outcome.

LYRA are truly incredible Masha'Allah. From the quality of their products to their customer service and engagement with the community, LYRA are making it easier for women to embrace modesty again, and that is empowering. Yes, the prices can be higher than those of your average company, but LYRA are changing the game by creating fashionable pieces that last and don't deteriorate after just one use, unlike most retailers nowadays. Products like the Active Bottoms and the Bamboo Jersey Hijabs have supported me in my journey to become a hijabi and have shown me that being modest doesn't mean accepting discomfort, and I am genuinely grateful for that Alhamdulillah.

Fast delivery, everything I’ve ordered was perfect. Fitting was just right quality was right and I’ve got everything on the sale so so fantastic price. I am now addicted customer. I’m not going anywhere else. Ladies and gentlemen, there’s a sale on at the moment so you better start getting your stuff because the clothing are beautiful. The scarfs were perfect quality material my God endless good things to say. So I recommend it to every single woman to go and shop there.

Wide range of options and the size calculator was very accurate for a Muslim woman. I bought the Yara and it was absolutely perfect, just what I’d been looking for. Great fit, great coverage and completely elegant and modest. The cape design is ingenious and provides effortless modesty. The design is elegant and made me feel 100% confident. I bought it for a trip to Dubai and have been recommending it to all my friends and family since. I also just recently came back from Turkey and it still left me with the same impressions - brilliant swimwear!

I am obsessed with the material and the fit of this hijab!! It is the most comfortable hijab I own and it is all in one with its coverage so I can opt out of wearing an undercap which causes tension and pressure on my hair line!

I placed an order with Lyra Modest at the mid of August, and it has been a complete nightmare since then. UPS attempted delivery when I wasn’t home, then took the package back and lost it. I went to the UPS store multiple times and never received my order.

I contacted Lyra Modest’s customer service, and they said they would send me a replacement order. However, when I tracked the replacement, I noticed it was delivered to a completely different address in another state. I reached out to them again, and they told me they would issue a refund once the item was returned to the store.

It’s now been over two weeks, and I’m still waiting for my refund. The entire experience, from August 19, and now it is october 13, has been extremely frustrating — between the lost packages, incorrect delivery, and lack of follow-through, I’m very disappointed with their service. I will not be ordering from them again.

First of all the package arrived on time and based on how things were packed, one could tell this company operated with sincerity. They packed everything with care and included a complimentary tote. I appreciate well packed items as they create a great first impression.

The design of the swimwear was comfortable and well designed. I picked a color that was unfortunately not complimentary with my skin tone. Customer service was prompt and kind with their response when I asked for an exchange and they were willing to sell me the swimwear at the discounted price, even though the sale had ended. Overall, I felt supported, welcomed, and cared for as a first time buyer and am excited to see this company grow further.

Lyra is a great brand that offers good trendy yet timeless design with great quality for people that like to dress modestly. smooth purchasing experience, with quick UK delivery. I’ve purchased couple of times and so far I’m happy about my items. Will definitely be buying again.

Honest review. I bought my Sofia Lyra swim suit probably now 3 years ago. Took good care of it. It was an expensive purchase. However the material started to go white and extremely thin and patchy. Contacted their customer service and was told nothing can be done as it’s over 12 months old. With the price I paid I expected it to last for many years considering I have taken good care of the swim suit. Quite disappointed and don’t think I will be buying from here again.
