Our daughter attended several of the mock mastery days offered by Jess and Charlotte. It has been so positive for her as she nears the exam, giving her the chance to revise and experience exam conditions in a calm, friendly environment. The format has worked brilliantly for her to build her confidence, combining relaxation techniques, a mock exam and then a workshop tailored to the areas where she feels she needs more support - all under the guidance of experienced, approachable tutors. She left feeling relaxed, happy and ready to take it on. Thank you!

We now look forward to our son beginning tuition this September.

Jess and Charlotte’s approach to learning feels both highly professional and super nurturing. My daughter took part in their mastery days as she neared the end of her 11+ journey and we were so impressed! It is clear that they are well versed in all the important aspects of the 11+ exam and the home learning pack and revision cards are an amazing addition to help continue with the process at home.
Jess and Charlotte also show a real passion for developing healthy minds alongside the course content which provides fun brain breaks for the children throughout the day.
They really have put thought in to helping make the 11+ feel both achievable and enjoyable!

Our son has been going to Magical Minds classes in Bourne End since Nov and is really enjoying everything they do there. He loves learning anyway, and how they’ve structured these classes and the mindfulness elements are perfect for engaging him.

Each week they cover all elements of the 11+ areas, with homework and vocab to reinforce that work. The mini-assessment of his progress before Christmas was great for us – so we knew what areas he needs to work on – and we feel like they really know him already, understand his strengths and how to help him (slow down, double check his answers!) and for subjects where he struggles more with grasping the work. He loves working with Jess and Charlotte so much, it’s a joy to see.

(I would also recommend the book club – we signed him up as he’s an advanced reader some 4/5years above his age group, but would happily just re-read Wimpy Kid all the time! The club has exposed him to some fantastic books we’ve enjoyed reading together prompting conversations at home on some important topics- war, race relations historical and present etc., as well with his classmates on their monthly virtual Book Club call. We’re a big book loving house, this is a lovely addition).

My son has been doing Year 4 tuition with a small group on Saturday mornings and is really enjoying the lessons. He loves the chance to get more 1:1 attention from the teachers and how interactive and varied the classes are. The homework is well planned and allocated and he’s managing to complete it all before the next week without any issue. I’m really glad we signed him up!

Our son has been attending Magicalminds since the beginning of November 2024. We couldn’t be happier with how he’s settled in. Jess & Charlotte make the sessions fun and engaging and he always comes out with a smile on his face and wants to tell us all he’s learned.
Our daughter attended a different eleven plus provider which was more computer based and didn’t have qualified teachers running the classes, we can now see the difference in quality of teaching Magicalminds offer. Having experienced teachers (Jess & Charlotte) leading the classes makes a real difference.
The book club has also given our son the incentive to read more regularly.
We are very happy with Magicalminds and would have no hesitation in recommending them to our friends and family.

My daughter is in year 3 and has started tuition with Magical Minds. She is absolutely loving the classes and working with her group, she is doing really well! The homework set is enjoyable and manageable too. Thank you for everything so far!

Jess is a fabulous tutor. Lessons are very well planned, fun but also academically challenging. Our girls learn so much at each lesson. Lessons are enjoyed every week. Jess is very patient and understanding. We would highly recommend Jess.
