Since moving to our current Christchurch showroom in 2005, we’ve shifted our strategy to sell to the public, allowing us to serve countless happy customers all over New Zealand. We work with reputable export-oriented manufacturers overseas to bring you high quality solid wood furniture, as well as including our input on the design to meet Kiwi preferences and standards, to make sure you’ve got the best-looking furniture. We regularly visit these manufacturers to inspect the products and ensure you receive high quality furniture with no shortcuts. But our commitment goes beyond just quality. We ensure all manufacturers that we work with maintain environmentally responsible practices, ensuring all raw wood materials are sourced through managed forestry, which allows us to deliver furniture that not only looks great, but aligns with sustainable practices, letting you furnish your home the way you want, with peace of mind. While we are located in Christchurch, we have the ability to deliver your furniture throughout the country, using nationally recognized freight carriers, that can safely transport your furniture in a timely manner, ensuring you can fulfil your dream of a beautifully furnished home.

The website wasn't accurate as to available stock so I ordered something that turned out to be out of stock. However all subsequent contacts regarding a substitute item were pleasant, helpful, professional and accommodating so overall I was very satisfied.

Wonderful experience
We had a wonderful experience with Mainland Furniture :)
Our order was dispatched very promptly and even though it arrived damaged, a replacement was sent immediately, and the issue was no problem at all to sort out.
Communication and fast efficient service was exceptional. Thanks heaps.

Skewed handle…no followed up
I bought a $2000 oak buffet. Has an off-square handle that I made them aware of. It has since been repaired at their cost. The buffet is perfect now. It is good to see retailers stand by their product and fix things.

Delivered to Hawkes Bay 9 days after ordering. Absolutely great value for $$ and is made of timber not custom wood. Looks great in my lounge and I will be buying from them next time I need furniture
