Marketed as London-based, but returns must be sent to China
I ordered clothing from Maison Voloire expecting a London-based brand, as presented on their website. Unfortunately, the items I received were of very poor quality and did not match the material, fit, or overall presentation shown in the product photos.
When I contacted customer service about returning the items, I was first offered a 20% discount code for a future purchase if I kept the products. When I declined and asked to return them, I was told to send the items to a private address in Dongguan, China, with shipping costs and customs risks on my side. Returning the items would have cost almost as much as the products themselves.
At one point the company also mentioned that they did not have a return address in Germany, even though I had never asked for a German return address, which added further confusion about their actual business location.
Instead of offering a reasonable return solution, the company repeatedly proposed partial refunds (10%, then 20%, 30%, 40%). After a long back-and-forth, I eventually accepted a 50% refund while keeping the items because returning them internationally was not practical.
Overall, the shopping experience was disappointing. The quality of the products did not match the advertising, and the return process felt unreasonable for customers.
