I am literally in tears!
After all the errors they made in the past, today I was informed by Royal Mail that they replaced me-BECAUSE Manpower did not call them, did not update anyone, and as it turns out didn't even bother to check my documents. What should have been done within a matter of days took them now over 2 weeks. I am now without my job, without money and don't know how to pay rent! THANKS for NOTHING!

Applied for the HGV skills bootcamp
Applied for the HGV skills bootcamp via the gov.uk site, manpower was the one i chose at it covers West Yorkshire. Applied in April 2022 and got a phone call in June 2023. After speaking to the lass, i recieved an email saying
"We have reviewed your application and after careful consideration, we will not be progressing your application on this occasion as there were other candidates whose skills and experience were more closely matched to the requirements agreed for Wave 2 of the HGV Skills Bootcamp."
Went on the gov.uk site again as well as google searches, and it turns out there is a massive HGV shortage on-going. But im not eligible. Shame really. I guess 10 years of driving a van doesn't qualify.
Edit: the complaint url doesn't work, just keeps timing out. Your attempt to take a complaint is useless.

Cancelling profile on platform then not replying when asked about it.
Contradictory information provided when issues raised.
Etc, etc, etc
All of the above was the same member of staff.
Several of my peers also complained about this person.

Unfortunately I had an unprofessional…
Unfortunately I had an unprofessional experience with Manpower today. I had arranged a meeting with a member of staff to get signed up and was told that if I get offered work elsewhere on this day not to worry (as I had explained my situation in needing immediate work) I had to cancel due to a shift coming up elsewhere (which I obviously wasn't going to turn down). I called the previous day, well in advance to apologise for cancelling the sign up but a shift had come up. I completed my shift and called Manpower again to ask if I could rearrange. I was told very rudely and abruptly by a Lady who was previously very nice to me "I thought you had a job, why do you want to meet with me now!?" I explained that I was hoping to sign up to their agency also for future positions as the job was with another agency I had previously signed up for and was only bank staff, this was met with silence followed by "Well, I don't understand why you want to sign up with us" so I explained that it's fair enough, if they do not wish to sign me up, that's not a problem at all. Good luck getting people signed up if this is the attitude they have with potential staff.

An extremely bad experience with this…
An extremely bad experience with this company. Initially discussed my salary expectation on a casual call with the line manager. He decided to go to senior management before proceeding to a formal interview as not to waste anybody's time and make sure that if successful they could offer me what I was looking for as it was over the advertised figure. This figure was also a reduction on what I am currently on but my motivation's for a change were not financial. The line manager came back and gave me the green light and said they could offer "X" if successful and I agreed to move forward. I then spent days preparing a presentation to both the head of Perm and the line manager. I presented this and was told I would hear back the next day. The following week I chased them for feedback to be told they wont be taking it any further due to my salary expectations. A complete waste of time for all involved. I also know 1 other person that this has happened to, so unless you are prepared to be messed about, I would avoid this company. On reflection over the last few days I think I've dodged a bullet. If this is how they treat candidate attraction, what would they be like to work for!

They were polite and they had a good manners here endeth the positives. They were absolutely clueless from start to finish the client was managing them rather than the other way round. Feedback was almost non-existent they promised to chase up all the mistakes that were made and I haven't heard anything since

I really want to start off by saying that manpower is the worst agency you could ever join. I haven't received payment for at least 1.5 months since the beginning. But the problem has been fixed. Second, I'm writing the largest criticism of Manpower Atherstone ever because they are genuinely doing nothing. I have called various branches of manpower and spoken to them in person a number of occasions, but all they have done is send me back to the atherstone branch. I worked as a manager at Royal Mail from October 26 to December 2. I still haven't received payment for that as of it now January!!!!!
I resigned for one and only one reason—I wasn't even paid for being in this position. Even the rate at which I was supposed to be paid was unknown to me. I have no idea how much credit you give me for performing this part. My first week is recorded as a morning rate shift, but I really worked a late evening shift, which resulted in my salary that was 51.52 pounds less than expected.
And for at least a month now, People Zone has restricted my access to my account, so I can't see my payslips to see how much they truly pay me for the shifts I worked. I go there to ask if they can at least aid me to unblock my PeopleZone account, but they are unable to do so since they are unsure of what to do. Seriously? And those are the ones in charge of our financial security and personal information. The only way to get my EARNED money to me is through Royal Mail, which is why I will be contacting them to handle everything. Kind regards and thanks.
And no don’t reply to me with write a complain to us because I did - 5 times I have done and nothing .
Terrible contact
As a disabled person, the work is good when it's available. However, trying to contact anyone is useless, like really bad. Emails or text will never get a reply. Calls will get an answer most times. They say they will do what you ask, but don't. It takes several attempts. The pay is good, but the stress of communication is terrible. Just my experience.

Worked for Manpower from July 2021 to…
Worked for Manpower from July 2021 to June 2022 at Royal Mail NDC. Got me all the shifts I needed as I was part time, could of done a lot more if wanted. NDC not a bad place but agency workers do most of the work to be honest.
Working for royal mail via manpower
Working for royal mail via manpower has been a very strange experience. I enjoy the job itself but the management is awful. It seems there is no communication between the agency and Royal mail management, the agency tells me one thing and management another. I was told by the agency a manager should inform me about which day to have off as a rest day - this never happens so I often end up working 6 days instead of the 5 I signed up for. The job was advertised as between the hours of 11 and 7, and whilst this is true you're lucky to get a 5 hour shift between these hours. Thankfully the good rate of pay makes up for the short shifts but I'm not making as much as I expected to when I signed up. I would avoid using manpower to find employment in future as I can't be certain the job would be anything like what is advertised.

Useless data grabbers
Applied for a job with immediate start. Filled out an online form and uploaded personal documents. Never heard back.
Around 40 days later they are desperate for delivery drivers so they contact me by email. Immediate starts again. Useless waste of time and data grabbers.

Have gone through their compliance and been given a date and time for a phone interview that did not happen, no apology I was basically ignored.Telephone numbers that go unanswered,remote messages given out that no more messages can be taken as mail box full.Emails unanswered they virtually make themselves uncontactable.When you finally get to speak to someone they say they will pass the message on ……then nothing!!This was/is my experience with the Uxbridge Branch!!I am retired looking for Temp work with Royal Mail that they advertise for……..God knows how you are treated when you are looking for main income !!!Absolutely shocking service and unprofessional!!!Instead of giving out a complicated email address why not instruct your staff to be professional and respond to their messages and emails…….my experience isn’t a one off,you have similar reviews on here…….you are as unprofessional as it gets and will contact Royal Mail direct to let them know how people are being treated !!

Passed my online interview and…
Passed my online interview and submitted all my documents the same day. Was informed I would get a cal in a day or two for my induction for the job I applied for. Kept me hanging for over a week …phoned twice..finally spoke to someone who apologised and said my documents would be reviewed (a week later) and my induction with my new employer would take a day. Nothing again …checked online and it looks as though they still haven’t reviewed my documents. I held off because Manpower said I had the job. Having to start again with my job search has cost me time and potential lost earnings. Absolute shambles.
Edit; I went on to work with Emma and Patrycja from the Southampton branch and I was impressed by their persistence in getting everything in place, their politeness, professionalism and the can do attitude.
My original review was for a branch up north.
I would give the Southampton branch 5 stars if possible.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
Next to zero contact from the manpower staff. They honestly have no idea how to manage and place candidates. I was offered a bunch of shifts and then when I asked what to do as this was my first shift and I had no induction they confirmed they will come back to me to get this sorted. Shock, 2 weeks later and no reply to any emails or confirmation of a start date. I then receive a call from them asking if I’m still looking for work. I thought I was waiting for start date for my induction. Shocking service, if your looking for work through manpower then good luck knowing what’s going on. The communication is so so poor and they honestly don’t care about you or the job their filling. Complete wast of time and a huge failure to the employers who use them - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

SCAM RECRUITMENT COMPANY
What even is this so called recruitment company and how on earth did they get a contract to supply workers for the Royal Mail!?
Avoid at all costs. Messed me about with a role for two months. Told them on application what depot I could work in. They bombarded me with video calls and requests of my information the first couple days so thought they were keen to get people to start. Then weeks past and I kept chasing as I didn’t know whether to take up other roles. They then kept emailing me at 10pm asking if I could start the next day. I replied yes every time and they then wouldn’t respond till the next week saying “sorry couldn’t get hold of depot can you start tomorrow” said yes again then asked for location and more details - no response EVERY TIME until they responded week later at 10pm with same excuse and another start date for the next at at 9am!!? I called so many numbers they all pass the buck and “not dealing with your application”. I spoke with a Tom, Esther, Sarah, Anuk, Charley, and so many other people with one single application. (emails looked like scams as well in all different fonts and sizes just really strange).
Was then recently sent a start date for an area that was not near me. No communication lost out on other jobs because of this company stringing you along. AVOID AT ALL COSTS they seem to either waste your time or don’t pay you anyway. WHAT A JOKE.
