Packed with goodness
Tender variety
Looks and tastes like asparagus
Calabrese Slender Stem are packed with goodness. The long, thin stems of this variety are very tender and edible and looks and tastes very similar to asparagus. To make the most out of this plant, remove the main head to encourage side shoots of up to 11 spears and produce more food from each plant. This variety is also suitable for freezing, allowing you to harvest when its at its best and enjoy it at a later date.

The plants were poorly packaged and arrrived loose in the cardboard box, as they had come out of their modules. When I contacted customer services, I was told I was ineligible for a refund, because I had managed to save the plants. When I asked about compensation for the time this took, I got no reply.

Very healthy plants once I’d refreshed them after the carriers manhandled them.
