Brilliant holiday that suited what I wanted! Had an issue on the trip (due to strike action where I was travelling) and they answered quickly to help and sorted the issue for me no stress. All the hotels were excellent and the trains and other transport worked together smoothly. As a solo traveller I felt safe and supported, couldnt have asked for better!

From planning, to booking, to receiving pre-departure information and documentation, through to our trip itself, the service was first class. Our advisor, Laurie, listened to what we wanted and put together a suitable itinerary for our approval. Once approved, the booking process was easy and hassle-free. Pre-departure support was excellent with someone always available to answer any questions. Detailed documents were received in a timely manner both electronically and in hard copy form. Our trip to Switzerland itself ran like clockwork. As promised, hotels were extremely clean and comfortable, easy to find, and staffed by helpful and friendly people. Public transport ran on time, was clean and really easy to use. Pre-booked excursions were well planned and organised, which coupled with enough free time to relax and enjoy Switzerlands' beautiful surroundings, food and wine during the trip made for an extremely enjoyable experience.

We have just returned from a wonderful 9 nights rail journey through Switzerland organised by Hayley through marvellous escapes. This trip was for our golden wedding Anniversary Hayley made sure she informed each hotel we stayed at we was upgraded on one of the hotels and we were given a few little gifts from the other hotels which we were very touched by. The trips we went on by rail to see the mountains was amazing the views we got to see were breath taking thank you marvellous escapes and Hayley for making our holiday very special.

The booking experience was great, personalised , calls were on time, information was helpful. Even including dress code ideas relieving stress. Quotations were beautifully written selling you the vision of your expected experience rather than just a holiday. Any queries or extras were quickly looked into and added, all while tailoring it to your suggested budget. So looking forward to going later in the year

We had a fantastic experience in Norway booking the Norway in a Nutshell route with Marvellous Escapes. Laurie was extremely informative on all three locations. Our hotels were centrally located within easy access of the stations for our connections, and walking distance of many local attractions. The hop on/off buses recommended proved an excellent way to view the cities. Travel could not have been easier and Norway itself was stunning. Will definitely be booking with Marvellous Escapes again. Thank you Laurie.

We flew from the UK to the fabulous roman city of Verona for 2 nights. Our hotel was a perfect location, just a 2 minute walk to the famous arena. Our trip included a 2 hour walking tour of the city and our guide was excellent. All the city sights are within a 20 minute walk. The weather was great, as was the food. We then spent our third night travelling on the Orient Express from Verona to Paris. What a thrill, what service, what food, and the endless supply of wine and champagne. Our steward (Antony) was a gem and spoilt us rotten. Great memories ! Our final trip from Paris back to the UK was via Eurostar. Again, great service, with a meal and drinks included.
All transfers went very smothly and everything went perfectly as per the itinerary. During our trip it was my wife's birthday and thanks to Marvellous Escapes our hotel and the Orient Express made sure it was celebrated in style

My holiday was an “bucket list” adventure - to travel to and around Switzerland by train including the Glacer and Bernina Express. Every aspect of my dealings with Marvellous Escapes was perfect from the initial chats around ideas and planning with Laurie, to the booking, payment, tickets and of course the final main event. I’d go nowhere else now to plan a holiday.
Once booked I was kept informed throughout, I received a lovely folder with everything I needed - information contacts tickets etc. then I received a digital version of the same. And all the while we were away there was a 24 hour What’s App contact there if we needed it. I used it once whilst away and hit a response within 10 minutes. I really couldn’t suggest anything to improve upon.

Just returned from a fantastic trip … ‘Norway in a Nutshell Extended’ organised by Marvellous Escapes. Great recommendations and a superb service from Laurie and her colleagues. We had a fabulous time, with a great itinerary and wonderful hotels. The trip was very well organised, and hassle free! Well worth using Marvellous Escapes for their expert local knowledge and advice, rather than trying to muddle through to book everything separately without having the peace of mind they can offer!

They were quick to respond, but not pushy. I received useful advice and they were well informed regarding additional trip options. They were/are also open to any questions I had or any I might have before departure.

Just returned from our 2nd european rail journey organised by Marvellous Escapes and everything was fantastic. We discussed when and where we wanted to go and everything, (trains, hotels, transfers restaurant recommendations) was then organised by them. Both booking experience and the package they put together were absolutely first rate. They were also very flexible when we wanted to change departure date and location for one of the trips. What I really found reassuring was having a WhattApp contact so if anything went wrong we could contact them. We had an issue with our train being cancelled due to an avalanche on the first trip and they immediately set about advising us where to go, they changed our hotel booking (at no extra cost) as we couldn't get to planned hotel that night. My view of travel companies is you only realise how good they are when things start to go wrong and they absolutely delivered. We have another tripped booked in May and planning one with them for early October, hopefully these trips will be as good as the ones we have done.

Thank you Laurie for an incredible holiday in its truest sense. A perfect balance between being orchestrated and travelling independently. The itinerary was custom made and with such care and understanding of who we are and what we wanted. From Glacier to Bernina to Orient Express- a trip of a lifetime (although now we have a taste for it maybe not). Would not hesitate to recommend the company and staff.

Hayley was extremely attentive to our needs and created an itinerary which was perfect for us. We were disappointed as our Glacier Express was cancelled because of technical problems, but this was beyond the control of any tour operator. Marvellous escape was prompt in contacting us about the cancellation and assured us of the refund for cancelled trip's reservations.
We will go back again to Marvellous Escapes for our Glacier Express trip next year.

Laurie was very helpful. She listened to the sort of things we liked and tailored our holiday to fit in with that unlike most people who fit you into their agenda regardless of what you want. I was also impressed that she came in under budget rather than taking it over the top.
