This is the 2nd situation in a row 2 different stores where there was a huge mistakes made. In short I was supposed to pick up furniture, I called twice to confirm that they would be open and ready for pickup drove from Tulsa to OKC just to find out they were closed. The last time they delivered the wrong item. Terrible all the way around.
Case of the missing tag on matress! fake mattress vs refurbishe one sold as new.
It is a shame I could not give them a zero star.
I bought brand new King size Tempurpedic bed for $ around $8500. from them on October 2023 They delivered it home. In 2 weeks I noted that the top layer of the foam has slipped from the bottom portion of the bed by 2 inches or so. So on the right edge of the mattress there was an indentation about 2 inches. I called and complained and they said they would help me. The mattress dep head Woo told me to sned picture of law tag. I could not find it on the mattress. He came home to find it and says it is missing. So I told the store that they have sold me a mattress without a law tag for the warranty to honored which means the bed was refurbished or a fake Tempurpedic. He had no answer other than to say sorry and without the law tag he can't help me.
The only reason the tag is not there is either it was never there or someone tore it to use it on a fake mattress. they sold me a fake mattress is my conclusion I have taken the matter to Bureau of household goods and services in Sacramento. I am waiting for their decision. If they are not able to resolve the matter then I would have no choice but to take the matter further. I shall also write BBB .

DO NOT RECOMMEND, I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with DeWayne L Hester-Murphy
, and I must say it was nothing short of a disaster. From start to finish, Murphy's work left much to be desired, and I strongly advise anyone considering hiring him to think twice.
First and foremost, Murphy's communication skills were abysmal. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a response from him, whether it was via email, phone, or carrier pigeon. This lack of communication led to delays, misunderstandings, and a general sense of frustration on my part.
When Murphy finally did manage to deliver his work, it was clear that he had put minimal effort into it. The quality was shockingly poor, with numerous errors, inconsistencies, and blatant disregard for even the most basic instructions. It was as if he had thrown together something haphazardly just to meet a deadline, without any consideration for the end result.
To make matters worse, Murphy was completely unprofessional throughout the entire process. He missed deadlines without explanation, failed to take responsibility for his mistakes, and showed a complete lack of respect for me as a client. It was clear that he had no regard for the importance of delivering quality work or maintaining a positive working relationship.
In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Dewayne Murphy to anyone seeking reliable, high-quality work. His lack of communication, poor quality output, and unprofessionalism make him a liability rather than an asset. Save yourself the time, money, and headache by looking elsewhere for your project needs. DO NOT RECOMMEND

As a long-time customer of Mathis Bros Funiture I am compelled to share my recent appalling experience, which has irreversibly shattered any semblance of loyalty I once held for this establishment.
My journey into the depths of customer service purgatory began the moment I stepped foot into their store. Instead of being greeted with warmth and assistance, I was met with indifference from the staff, who seemed more interested in gossiping amongst themselves than attending to customers.
Upon attempting to seek guidance on a potential purchase, I coerced into signing up for a membership? and putting a 20% down payment down on a piece of furniture we said on numerous occasions that we were not sure about. we expressed concern but were repeatedly told it would be no problem to cancel if we decided to do this. 4 days later after many attempts to do just this we still have not been given ANY assistance or spoken to anyone about this other than a receptionist who comes back on the line and says it will be taken care of by the end of the day.
But what truly solidified my decision to bid farewell to Mathis Bros was the utter lack of accountability and disregard for customer concerns. When I attempted to address my grievances with management, I was met with dismissive attitudes and empty promises of improvement, further cementing the fact that they have lost touch with what it means to provide genuine service.
In conclusion, I bid adieu to Mathis Bros with a heavy heart and a sense of betrayal. As a once-loyal patron, I can no longer in good conscience support a business that values its bottom line over the satisfaction of its customers. Farewell, Mathis Bros, you have lost a customer for life.
Stand by your good name
I bought a recliner couch a couple months ago and the mechanism on one of the recliner sides is broken. I think it was damaged during delivery because that side never worked right and just got worse over time. Mathis Brothers is offering me a credit to buy another piece of furniture, but I bought a matching set and replacing one piece is not going to work because I cannot find an exact match. They no longer make this line of sofa recliners.
I feel Mathis Brothers should either refund both pieces of furniture I bought from them and pick them up or allow me to keep the broken sofa and give me a full refund on it.
I have contacted them three times about this issue and have not been able to resolve it to my satisfaction.
No Pressure or Upsale…
I have not purchased a bedroom set for many years. After comparing prices and quality of products, Mathis Brothers was not only comparable in price but gave a better deal.
I worked with Taj who was very knowledgeable and professional. He was intimately familiar with the products he presented for my consideration. He did not try to upsell me but listened to what I wanted and made appropriate suggestions.
Ultimately, based on Taj's customer service, knowledge, and overall pricing, I went with a selection that fit exactly what I wanted.
Thanks to Taj and Ruben, the sales manager who helped to streamline the delivery of my purchase.
Highly recommend Mathis Brothers and in particular, Taj.

1.I am a Diabled Desert Storm Combat Veteran. Born and raised in Oklahoma. I needed assistance recently and by the Grace of God the Dept of Veterans Affairs OKC & SSVF OKC /TULSA 🙏😇. They helped so much I can't thank them enough. 2.) VA VASH got me a Apt, and stable with in 90 days. Excellent! VA allowed me to spend $1000 for furniture. Mathis Bros okc Major league Company, called me and said that they will bring Sofa up to my 2nd floor doorstep but not any more. Good enough I said. After unloading Sofa, Mathis Bros says to me " Yes VA paid $1000 per vert plus + But now we're talking the Sofa to bottom landing of your apts and You alone must carry it upstairs. (Yes I'm a 55 year old, disabled Veteran on a Pension, that uses a Cane sometimes) Mind you it's Raining in Okc at this time. They told me delivery was covered but it Clearly says on my receipt copy Includes DOORSTEP DROP OFF! I HAD a 70 year old lady downstairs who barely walks volunteer to help me. Of course Bless her, way to heavy for us. MATHIS BROS FURNITURE OKC DELIVERY.. DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU HAVE REPRESENTING YOU???? I COMPLAINTS WENT TO DEPT Veteran Affairs. OKC DISABLED VETERAN ASS. Ridiculous return policy
My daughter is arriving to visit from out of state. I just moved into a house and she needed bedroom furniture. I purchased the furniture from Matthis Bros. Aside from the expensive, cheap looking furniture, I hated the end table and dresser. I’m very busy and never thought I only had 7 days to return it. It’s been 14. They basically said, I’m screwed! Well, screw them because I have more furniture to buy and it won’t be from Matthis Bros.

The salesperson in the store lied to us by assuring us that we were buying new mattresses and that nothing was wrong with them, they're just from an older collection. They were used, dirty, ripped and damaged. Stay away from these scammers if you want to save your money and nerves.

After I paid. On the delivery day, I was told by the manager Steve they couldn't get the parts to assemble the bed anywhere in Oklahoma City, Ok. He was rude and they tried to keep $129.00 of my money. I had already donated my bed to the Salvation Army and had my bedroom ready for delivery which never happened because they couldn't get the tools. To call me after was a joke! I could have worked myself that day. I lose a day's pay dealing with your company.

I would not recommend that you buy from Mathis Brothers especially mattresses. I bought right at $40,000 worth of furniture from them about a month ago and when it came time for us to pick the mattresses out for the master bed we were told the split mattresses might be a good fit for us. Though we were a bit apprehensive about the split situation we were assured we could swap them if we didn't like them after 30 days. Well as it turns out we were right, we hate the split mattresses so we called for the swap so we could exchange the two twin XL for a King like we originally had planned. Now let the half truths and lies begin as the real deal about their exchange policy is you have to exchange the same size mattresses that you bought "would be nice if they mentioned this". Two twin XL is a King size, but nope you can't and additionally you have to pay $200 per mattress for the exchange. If you want to return them, nope that won't work either. So we have over 7K is mattresses that looks like we are going to give away as we hate this combination. Don't listen to what they say as it is lies and make sure you read every single page disclosure / disclaimer they make you sign in the mountain of paperwork at checkout as their words or lack there of means nothing. Needless to say I have cancelled all the furniture that we bought corporately just in time thank the Lord and will be looking to take our business elsewhere and you should too. Buyer beware!!
Just Be Aware Of Mathis Brothers Furniture Unethical Practice
24 Hours after they delivered the mattress and the base, we found out that they have added a return policy in the back of our purchase agreement without our knowledge or signatures at all. Before they give us a copy of our purchase agreement, they took the 5-page document to the back office and attached (stapled) a return policy stating the purchase was final and there are restocking fees should I attempt to return any items! We bought everything new and they were not a floor model. Make sure before you leave the store they do not attach a page to your purchase agreement without your knowledge. We were deceived by the store unethical behavior. The store manager told us he does not know much about the mattress and gave us a number to call in Oklahoma to dispute! The Oklahoma store told us she needs to get the store manager's permission to allow any return and we are still waiting!
At this time, we have no choice other than to take this matter to court. We are filling a lawsuit against them next week and to be fair, we will update the outcome of the Judge regardless of any judgement we get from Orange County court in Santa Ana, CA.
Before buying anything from the store, inquire about their return policy first. You will never ever buy anything from the store if you see what they will attach to your sales contract without your knowledge. That is why they can never be upfront and honest with you. What the salesman says is 180 degrees different than what the store policies are.

bought a extended warranty , they did not honor it the way they said they would we have had three couch replacements due to faulty workman ship and now need another one . they said 13 to 14 weeks so we went to there store without them knowing it and saw are couch in inventory, we have had zero updates and really do not know what to expect. I would stay clear of this place due to the lack of customer service and the faulty information the sales people give you . total misrepresentation of the products they carry . Shop with caution and google the name brand warranties

Shopped for furniture and loved the selection. Purchased over 10k in new items. It has been over a year and I still have not received the proper glass for my curio. VERY bad taste for that to happen. BUYER BEWARE and do not even accept unless it is all there. This was in Mathis Brothers in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
