MathsTutor.me is an online maths learning app built by parents, for parents. Founded by a husband-and-wife team — a software engineer and a nurse — after their own son started struggling with maths confidence, MathsTutor was created out of frustration with existing options that either stopped at age 13, charged premium prices, or failed to explain the reasoning behind answers. MathsTutor covers the full UK curriculum from ages 5 to 16 (KS1 through GCSE), making it one of the few platforms where a single subscription grows with your child from primary school right through to their GCSEs. The app tracks progress topic by topic, helping parents see exactly where their child's strengths and gaps are — often in places they wouldn't expect. Features include interactive exercises aligned to the national curriculum, gamification with XP, badges, streaks and levels to keep children motivated, and detailed progress tracking so parents always know how things are going. A generous free tier means families can try it properly before committing, with no time-limited trials or credit card required.
