It again

It again, with a heavy and frustrated heart, am writing to leave some feedback.

I wanted to try and get the new RC release today, I was there at the appropriate time, minutes before, but I was placed in a 10 minute queue, then my cart sold out before I could even grab 1.

Again, looking online, there’s already 14 sellers (it hasn’t even been 1 hour since the drop) on UK ebay, selling this at 3 times the price. It’s an absolute joke that you don’t even try to stop scalping and the bots that plague this hobby.

It’s meant to be a fun, enjoyable hobby. Filled with family and friends, but we’re at a point that it causes frustration, disappointed and anxiety several times per year. What an utter shame and failure.

The brand is no longer built on collectibility, but on FOMO and hype.

I would like to know the reasons behind all of these failed drops, from a customer perspective, but you will not get a reliable answer from them.

Anyway, I’m growing more and more frustrated by your company and have started moving towards more customer oriented businesses, that offer more enjoyment and fun, and less stress.

Avoid at all costs if you want to keep your sanity.

I’m a Barbie club member I pay to be a member and with the exclusive dolls they allow the general public or target have dibs on the dolls then I have to pay double the price because the public buys the collectible dolls up and there is none left for a member such as myself it pisses me off the more collectible dolls should be for members only period not for the public that’s why I’m paying for the membership so I can have access to the exclusive dolls

Unfähig und kundenunfreundlich

Für Bestellungen von Club Grayskull- Artikeln braucht man als Europäer eine US-Adresse, was die Artikel wesentlich teurer macht.
Jetzt beim Snake Lair- Crowdfounding ließ sich der Artikel nicht an meine deutsche Adresse versenden ( warum auch immer ? ) und bei der Bestellbestätigung hat das System unwiderruflich die US-Adresse
( Shipito ) ausgewählt. Auf mehrfache Anfrage und nachdem ich fast 10 Tage lang von Mattel ignoriert wurde, hieß es, ich könne stornieren und vor dem 14.8. neu ordern, um meine Vorbesteller Artikel erhalten zu können, was ich bestätigte, aber nichts passierte. Fast 3 Wochen nach der Bestellung antwortet mir Mattel endlich ein 2. Mal ( nach ca 30 E-Mails von mir ) und meinte ich könne die Adresse nur ändern, wenn ich storniere und neu bestelle, aber würde nun all meinen Vorbestellerartikel verlieren. Ich solle doch schauen, dass ich jemanden in den USA finde, der mir das dann zusenden kann.
Wollen die uns einfach nur verarschen?
Jetzt kommen über Shipito noch zusätzlich Zoll und Versand oben drauf, was ja schon im Kaufpreis alles mit einberechnet war.
Die sind nicht imstande in ihrem System einfach eine Adresse zu ändern, vor allem weil sie in meinem Profil hinterlegt ist?
MATTEL hat den schlechtesten und unfähigsten Service der Welt.
Leider bekommt man viele Dinge nur über deren Seite und nicht im Laden oder über Zwischenhändler, sonst würde ich da nicht mehr bestellen.

Fang Club is a scam and total waste of money

I paid for the Fang Club membership to get early, exclusive access to Monster High releases. That’s exactly what Mattel Creations promised: priority access for members only, with one-per-customer limits.

But when the doll I wanted dropped, it was gone in under a minute. I was online right on time, added it to my cart immediately — and still got kicked out at checkout with a “sold out” message.

What’s the point of a paid membership if it gives you zero real advantage? Who is buying these dolls — bots? Resellers? Other members with faster bots?

This entire system feels dishonest. No transparency, no communication, no protection from scalpers, and absolutely no value for paying members. It’s basically a fake VIP pass. Mattel just took the money and gave nothing in return.

No shipping, no point

They have a ton of exclusive products yet do not ship elsewhere, namely the UK despite apparently doing so in the past.

They also had a countdown for a product that didn’t say it wouldn’t ship until the countdown was nearly over. You can imagine my disappointment

Unless you unfortunately live in the US, I see no value on looking on there, you are just going to be left disappointed.

Finger weg von Mattel.
Ich hatte eine Puppe bestellt, diese kam allerdings nie an. Wir wurde bestätigt dass diese auf dem Postweg wohl verloren gegangen ist und ich mein Geld zurück bekomme. Als nach länger Zeit mein Geld immer noch nicht da war, habe ich Mattel erneut kontaktiert und mir wurde gesagt dass die Puppe nie bezahlt wurde, wie soll das sein wenn die Puppe wohl schon auf dem Postweg war und das Geld auch vom Konto runter. Dann sagte man mir ich solle das mit meiner Bank klären, es wurde immer eine andere Ausrede gefunden. PURE ABZOCKE! Bitte seid vorsichtig, hier wird keinem bei Problemen geholfen und euer Geld ist WEG. Auf meine letzte Mail wurde schon garnicht mehr geantwortet und der Fall von Seiten Mattels geschlossen.

Realicé un pedido el 2 de abril. A día 5 de junio todavía no me han confirmado el pedido. Sigo esperando que me lo manden o que me devuelvan el dinero

US favouritism

Mattel have changed their rules, so they no longer ship to the UK from their US site. They created a UK version, but the stock is rubbish, and not even remotely on par with the US site. It's clear they don't care about their UK customers in the slightest. We only get the dregs of stock they can't sell in the US, and want to get rid of. It's honestly an insult, so I've decided to no longer do business with them. America first apparently. Slow death of a once decent toy company.

Llevo 3 años adquiriendo artículos en esta tienda (hasta hoy mismo) y mi experiencia ha sido totalmente satisfactoria en prácticamente en todos los casos. Por la calidad de los productos, el packaging, el coste de envío y por el control/tracking de seguimiento de los pedidos.

I was online, promptly before the midnight release, to purchase LeBron James Barbie. I was placed in quere to pay, 4 minutes. When it was my turn to pay I received SOLD OUT. A total waste of time and anticipation. In 4 minutes they sold out!! Never Again!!!

Awful

I preordered a (made to order) doll and waited for it to be shipped for almost a year. After I saw that other people have received it I contacted customer support for an update. I was told that it was shipped but there hadn’t been any movement so it’s considered a lost package and gave me a refund. I have contacted them multiple times and asked for a tracking number since I don’t believe that it was ever actually shipped and they give me the same response or don’t respond at all. I also can’t get a replacement because the doll is no longer available and I don’t want to give resellers triple the price. If I knew this would happen I could’ve found someone American to order it for me because they clearly don’t care about their international customers.

Not good, poor packaging

Recently, Mattel have released a UK based version of their creations site meaning items from their US site can no longer be purchased for delivery to the Uk. Sadly, the Uk can only access a tiny fraction of their stock.
I just purchased their Masterverse Panthor figure.
Sadly, despite charging a high premium for postage the item was shipped in its brown box outer packaging, not double boxed and absolutely no protective inner packaging.
Yes, you guessed it, once opened the lovely display box was creased and torn.
I could have requested a replacement but at the risk of none being left in stock or it just being damaged again so asked for a reduction.
They’ve given just £7 which is basically what they charged for delivery anyway.
Basically, Mattel targets collectors, but doesn’t really get what being collectors means.
They’re basically no better than Amazon for packaging and they do not understand or respect their target customers.

Europe shop empty

So they separated the shops, and they accept money from Europe, but you can no longer buy anything from the Europe shop as it’s almost empty.

No longer worth paying for a subscription if you’re in Europe
This hobby has been compromised.

Never delivered

Ordered in mid December. Contacted multiple times over the next 5 weeks-no product was ever shipped. Customer service response are all ‘canned’. Cancelled order through credit card company. Untrustworthy company. Mattel should be embarrassed to have this part of their company.

No longer shipping to the UK from the…

Mattel are no longer shipping to the UK from the USA. The new UK Mattel website has about 4 dolls, old stock that didn't sell well, for us to choose from. Thanks for that Mattel, you really know how to treat your loyal UK customers! Bearing in mind that I paid £10 to join the 59 club for exclusives, its a total disgrace. I will never buy anything from Mattel again.
