I am, apparently, just another dissatisfied customer in what appears to be a long list of them. I have used Matterport for about 1 year, and subscribed to the Professional subscription. When I didn't get enough business to justify the cost, I thought I would downgrade to a less expensive subscription level. No, they don't allow that. So now I have no choice but to cancel my membership, which means my few clients with links to their projects will no longer work, and this isn't good for my reputation. But Matterport doesn't care. So now I will sell the camera, and never use it again and I will spread the word that this company SUCKS.
Matterport is garbage.
The cameras are just ok , customer service is a joke
I've been using Matterport for four years and they keep changing their cost structure to squeeze additional revenue out of users, presumably to satisfy their lagging stock price. Within the past year, they've now started charging extra for spaces that have over 200 scans. Why? Because they can. So, I now have spaces that should be one space but they're now 2. I had one "double" space that is now three spaces because the scan wasn't working, and I wasn't able to get anyone to help me when i was on site. So instead of paying $2.60 a month for that space, I'm instead paying $7.80 a month. Because the software isn't working right. They now want to charge me additional money to stitch the spaces together, even though this should have been done automatically (and I doubt it'll take someone more thana few minutes to figure out).
Meanwhile, their customer service is atrocious and they don't care about their customers.
The customer service is absolute garbage.
We are a real estate development company that has been using Matterport for more than 2 years. We have invested more than 1,000 hours in creating more than 200 Matterport models. The camera and software work great and we have loved having access to "Digital Twins". Unfortunately, Matterport has made recent changes to their pricing policy and will now charge you $9.99 to "re-activate" and view a model. This charge is in addition to the annual subscription that is required to use the software. The charge will essentially double our cost for using Matterport. Make sure you fully understand these new fees and how they will impact you before locking yourself into the Matterport ecosystem.

Assistenza post produzione pessima. Se si lavora su edifici vecchi con i fuori squadro spesso non vengono restituiti bene i rilievi. All'esterno è limitato. Ho deciso di rimuovere l'abbonamento perché non sono stato soddisfatto dei rilievi più impegnativi. Non mi hanno nemmeno restituito la posizione dei pilastri di una tettoia.

Ich habe die Kamera im Mai 2023 mit 24% "Spring sale"-Rabatt gekauft und per Vorkasse bezahlt.
Leider ist man bei Matterport unfähig die Rabatte aufgrund einer angeblichen Systemumstellung vollständig zu berücksichtigen.
Seit Ende Mai schlage ich mich in unzähligen Mail mit dem "Service" darum, dass ich die Rechnung vollständig bezahlt habe und der angebliche Rückstand ausgebucht wird.
So eine Unfähigkeit habe ich in meinem mittlerweile 25 Geschäftsjahren noch nie erlebt.
Hätte ich das geahnt, hätte ich die Kamera nicht gekauft.
Zur Kamera:
Die Kamera kam pünktlich an und funktioniert.
Die Datenübertragung von der Kamera zum Tablet läuft aufgrund der Dateigröße etwas schleppend.
Matterport is a piece of sh** company to work for. They will suspend and fire you over any allegation, without giving you the chance to defend yourself. Their tech might be good, but steer well clear of this soulless company.
After months of non use I canceled my professional subscription to Matterport last in June of 2022,
Here in june of 2023, I suddenly see a charge for $73.55 from Matterport.
I think no problem an error, they will reverse it.
Nope, they claim they are collecting for June of 2022 and will not reverse.
It just got personal. You a r e so broke and in such distress you are milking clients for year old accounts. Bill me in July or August 2022. Not June 2023.
Their service were overpriced to begin with.
I see their stocks are on the decline and their employee satisfaction has dropped by 13% recently.
Be careful with this one.
Completely unusable house plan and would not give a refund. There is no way this is 1% accurate!

Nach 2 Sessions mit viel Vorbereitung wurde mir NIE das Ergebnis übermittelt. Obwohl ich über 3 Monate hinterher war und das Problem angeblich ganz nach oben eskaliert wurde weiss ich bis heute nicht wo meine detaillierten Daten des Apartments hingekommen sind. Es gibt noch nicht einmal eine Antwort.
Ich habe ein Matterport Pro 2 gekauft und bin mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden und beso ders gut zu bewerten ist der Kundenservice, wenn man ein Problem hat wird es sofort gelöst.

I booked a meeting through there system and no one attended. They are not bothered, keep away from companies like these.
Wir von Vorzelte Profis nutzen Matterport für unsere Zeltansichten. Kundendienst ist nicht mal schlecht der ist unterirdisch! Das Produkt ist gut aber wenn man ein Problem hat kann man auch mit dem Zoo telefonieren! Hier bekommt man eher eine richtige Antwort! Wir wollten unser Paket auf eine jährliche Zahlung innerhalb unseres Abos umstellen. Das System hat uns aber ein Plus Paket verbucht das wir angeblich erst ende 2023 wieder Kündigen können! Der Support am telefon konnte hier überhaupt nicht helfen und die Antwort war genauso grottenschlecht! Man kann auch mutwillig eine Firma an die Wand fahren!
Matterport Customer Service is terrible. I had log-in troubles so after bouncing around 5 emails with their support team, I asked them to call me to fast-track the frustration. The lady could hardly speak English, went around in circles with her repeating the same login details, then put me on hold to elevate the call for a simple log in issue. I have been on hold now for 40 minutes and still no one has answered.

Danno informazioni errate per l'acquisto dei profili su cui pubblicare i virtual tour e dopo aver acquistato sia il tour 95,00 euro che profilo starter 11,00 euro circa, scopro che necessito del profilo professionale che costa 60,00 euro, una spesa per me non sostenibile. Nonostante avessi specificato che il lavoro da pubblicare era stato acquisito con la Pro2.
Su mia richiesta telefonica non mi hanno restituito neanche il costo mensile dell'abbonamento.
Più di 100 euro buttati.

I have a VISA, they don't support it because changes of VISA a year ago, so i did get a american express for second payment worked ok, now again problems with payment and they don't react on mails, phone a answering machine.
last time try a bank transfer, but there payment gate way hase problems why shut i then do manual payment, now i get payment error pay or we close your account , so i did try VISA and american Express both a error and both cards work over all the world only not at matterport. and still no answer of them

My company have tried for month to get Matterport to change their bill so we could pay it. They closed our account, even thoug I wrote to them that there was problems with their bill, and we needed them til answar our finans department. They have know ignored us for month, and we still do not have acces to our account, and all the projects. I'll recomend everyone not to use this compagny. All your project will be theirs, and when they close your account and have no intention at all to help you, you are in problems. Find a solution where you own youre captures, instead of relying on an absolute amateur of af copany.
