We moved into our new build home at Earls Park 2 weeks ago now and I really can’t fault the after sale service. The Site Manager Andrew has been amazing, he’s kept in contact and has been so helpful in making the move into our new home as seamless as possible. Also, the onsite trades people dealing with the very few snagging issues as quickly as they have, has been very welcoming. Our home is lovely and we couldn’t be happier

I have been working along side the site build team at Matthew Homes White House Park site for nearly a year and the site manage David Snare has been fantastic and very accommodating to work along side. The quality of the houses has been to a high standard with very little snagging and where there has been some this has been dealt with promptly, I look forward to working with David and his team in the future.

Many problems like somebody else said once they have your money after the sale they’re not interested, just fob you off!!
I’m in the trade and can see many problems , the brick weave drive runs down to the garage,had water in the front of the garage door entrance after rain all day ,If we get a heavy down poor it will probably flood it as I stated it needs a drain channel put in, 5 doors down lost all there contents in garage not replaced but got the proper drain system put in after the incident.
House has sat here for 18months , before we bought it New ,the fitted dish washer wasn’t working properly had the engineer round today after 2 months of waiting to find the engineer saying firstly your electrical socket is hanging of the wall behind the dish washer very dangerous ,and all the pumps and circuit boards have had it. Supposed to be new appliances. The fridge freezer and oven humming and rattling so noisy, you open the doors and they creek, and vibrate!!
After sales tend to get a few jobs done at there pace, but tend to ignore us, wife was sworn at by receptionist from Matthew’s home and told these people are very extremely busy people and having to build all these bloody houses so sorry if they can’t get back to you!! Wife was begged to take her bad review off by Darren as they don’t like the bad publicity! Well I’m now writing it as had enough of the rubbish cowboy service.
Window chipped but eventually got replaced as with letterbox.
Topsoil in the garden was a joke full of stones. Not what I would call a very good grade of topsoil.
Very disappointed!!!
I’m in agreement with Stacey belcher few reviews down, after speaking to darren today and really getting no where !!!
Basically you have to sort your own problems out your self!!!

We have recently moved into our new home on the Brantham Heights development and couldn’t be happier!
Site manager Dan has been excellent, can’t fault him. If any issues he’s only a phone call away and is resolved very quickly! He’s been a massive help with any questions that have needed to be answered on our part and given us good advise. Thank you Dan!

I bought my new Matthew’s home through Peoples Places with help from an amazing team of people - especially Charlotte. The house is absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to make my own. There were a few snagging issues, which is inevitable with a new build. Sam Cooper the site manager has been absolutely brilliant with every last detail and prompt action. It has been very reassuring knowing there is an amazing support team on hand to resolve any issue promptly. Sam Cooper has taken on the site (WHP), who works with distinct pride and commitment. Sam should have full praise and acknowledgment for this, including the team he leads. It is people like this that carry Matthew Homes name with excellence, and allows it to standout to any other.
Thank you to all for making my experience of owning a Matthew’s home so easy and happy.

I bought a new build through places for people and Matthew homes, we have had a few snags that needed fixing since moving in and our site manager Sam (Attleborough White House park estate) has been absolutely amazing. He personally comes to look at the issues and gets it all sorted within days. He has been extremely helpful and supportive.

We moved into our new house 3 weeks ago & have been pleased with the standard of the finish of the house. The after care has also been good with our site manager Dan dealing with a few teething problems. The snagging list was done last week & tradesman were in the following week resolving the issues.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the size of the shed & patio given to all of the houses. The shed will only hold a bike & lawn mower. The patio is 2 slabs wide.
We did know prior to buying our house but cannot understand why the main bathroom is not tiled fully around the bath, only half way & no shower or shower screen was put in?

I live on a historic estate where land is still owned by Matthew Homes and behind my home the trees and under growth have not been touched for 40 years, Barry the rude guy just says cut it and throw it back.

I recently bought a house as a first time buyer. I had very little idea about the process and what to expect in a new build. I have to say that any horror stories that I heard about quality of new homes have been well and truly reversed by the experience. I love my new home. Of course I expected snags, but they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I felt that the process of reporting to be easy. Also, I would like to add that the building team have been really courteous and respectful. I couldn’t compliment them enough. A credit to the building industry.

Matthew homes have been fantastic since we moved in to our lovely new home 10 weeks ago. The workmanship is excellent and the follow up service has been outstanding. I would like to give a big shout out to Dave who has been amazing. He’s got such a great can do attitude, nothing seems to much trouble.
I would highly recommend Matthew Homes.

My wife and I have recently moved into our new home on Brookfield Park Burnham on crouch from start to finish we was updated on the progress of buying our home by the two lovely ladies who work there Lynne and Diane 10/10 we only moved into plot 82 four days ago and Dan Overall the site manager has been exceptionally helpful especially explaining the workings of everything and is always at hand 10/10 well done Matthew Homes you have a great team working for you.

Once they have your money they don’t want to know - bottom line! They have got no interest in coming to do any of the snagging of the poor job they done in the first place, and when they do finally turn up, after ‘customer care’ constantly trying to fob you off, another rubbish job done so you have to do it yourself anyway! Endless snagging jobs to be done!

I want to give a well balanced review of our new home at the Matthew Homes development, Meadow Gardens.
Firstly we love the house and we're definitely glad we moved in. In terms of the sale, Bee was absolutely amazing!
Of course we've had some snags and a few issues but I can't speak highly enough of the site manager Graham and deputy James. They have been so responsive to sorting out issues and very quick on comms. All the trades have been really polite and also the site workers are no bother at all. Of course it's a building site you you have to accept the noise/dust but it's not been a major issue.
The actual after sales experience from the head office isn't particularly responsive but being able to go directly through the site manager has improved that a lot.
We're looking forward to more people moving in and it feeling a bit more like an estate and I hope we will continue to have a positive experience with getting our snags sorted.

Paul and the guys on site were amazing! I cannot recommend the DAB team enough. They came and corrected a few issues we had straight away and were beyond helpful. Incredible service and genuinely nice guys! We are on the Brantham site :)

Brantham Heights - probably not the best first impression when we arrived in our new build. Snagging list was a lot longer than we anticipated. However, Paul (site manager) and the team have been brilliant in getting issues resolved. Still a few more issues to sort out, but for their efforts and good humour alone we have moved back up to 5 stars.
Update April 2025: Still love the house, BUT.....
Snagging still not solved and dragging on.
Whatever you do, don't ask them to lay your turf! Wasn't necessarily expecting tennis court level grass when we agreed to have the turf laid. However, despite watering regularly we now have a lawn that is hard, bumpy and patchy. We tried to aerate the lawn but couldn't get the tool in more than an inch before we hit solid rock all over the garden (which might explain the quality). Had two landscapers tell us the only solution is to take it all out, replace the soil and lay new turf/seed, at a cost of thousands. My advice, leave the garden bare and have someone rotavate and clear the rocks before you lay turf. At least you won't then have to pay all the extra costs to have the existing turf removed.
