After spotting Maverix out of hours…
After spotting Maverix out of hours during a flying visit to Truro , we were very excited to shop here on 31st Jan as it looks to stock exactly our kind of theme & needed some birthday presents too.
Having spent over £100 on Band top etc here & making our minds up on further purchases we returned to be refused entry for our dog to enter the shop .
Seems very petty since we thought it only polite to ask first & as he was confined to a push chair saw no harm in bringing him inside while paying .
However this wasn't allowed & we then decided to take our custom to good old Blue Banana who never fail to make us very welcome including our furry family too & have a far better range of products & professional customer service attitude too.
The onus really is on small businesses to secure repeat business not lose new customers to competition.

I'm sorry you felt this way during the visit. The reason we advertise on the door and request no dogs is due to a member of staff having a bad allergy to pet dander.
We of course allow service dogs at the major discomfort of one of our staff if she is working and carry out a extended deep clean at the end of the day to remove any trace of dander. Which adds another 45mins to close down.
If shoppers come with dogs we request the dog is left outside. This has not been in issue for the 2.5 years we have been in Truro and 12 years running pop up shops.
We give a very high level of customer service instore/online and go above and behind to help but not at the expense of a member of staffs health.
