Hi, On June 22nd, 2022 I stopped in for 4 new Cooper tires. Front Counter person Kevin was very helpful in discussing the choices within my price range. The installation went well. 31/2 months later, I hit a sharp object on 25a just 1/4 mile from Rocky Point Mavis on October 17th. I needed a new tire. This time Brad was at the front counter and he set me up with new tire within the hour. I discussed my feelings about possibly needing all new brakes. Brad said "We noticed your Brakes in our standard inspection and if you want to have new brakes installed, we have the parts and can install all new brakes today.". Within approx. 2 hours I had my new tire and all new brakes. Mechanic Jeff did the brake job and did the test drive. Good communiction by the whole crew.
After having my new brakes installed, I noticed a thumping or bumping sound coming from the rear of my car mainly when driving over most bumps and irregular pavement. My car made no Thumping sound before the Brake job so I went back to Mavis when I had a some time from my work, two days later. {Oct.19th} I wanted to ask the fokks at Mavis their opinion on what might be making the thumping sound. At this time a young woman called Taylor was at the front counter. I was very surprised at her excellent confidence, clarity and speaking skills. she arranged for Mechanic Jeff to do another test drive. The 2nd test drive didn't give an answer to what the thumping sound was but at least Jeff gave it a try. Jeff tightened my spare tire in my trunk saying he thought that's what the cause was for the noise. As I drove for the next few hours, I realized our test drive wasn't thorough enough and the thumping sound was still consistent and conspicuous. My uneducated guess for this noise could be that after being up on the lift for so long that the stabilizer bar, bushings or the struts stretched or loosened and possibly that might be causing the Thumping noise. I'm only making a lay person's guess. Jeff who did my brake job on Oct.17th was concerened and took the time to test drive my car but the drive was fairly light on good roads. Jeff didn't hear the thumping sound. As soon as I drove away from the Mavis after Jeff's 2nd test drive at normal speed and normal variations in road surfdace, the thumpimg was loud and consistent. I called Mavis later on the same day and counter person called Taylor was authentic and concerned. She asked me to make an appointment with the Mavis head mechanic {STEVE} and let him try to diagnose what might be making the Thumping sound. Counter Person Taylor was decisive, and allayed my safety concerns and anxieties. A very bright young woman. I want to clarify that my car rode smoothly and had absolutly no Thumping sounds before my Oct.17th Brake job. Great service, in and out for an oil change in about 25 minutes. Staff was very friendly.

Mavis has always been very professional I was in and out with the oil change they checked the tires fluids and it has been an excellent service thank you kindly I really appreciate it will continue to use Mavis

I have had my van in this place before for tires. I ordered tires on the mavis website and requested installation. When I showed up they said they never serviced my vehicle before and can’t accommodate me. They said they have the tires but can’t mount them ? What the?
