⭐ 1 STAR — Extremely Disappointing Experience with Mavis Tires & Brakes in Wimauma

I strongly recommend thinking twice before taking your vehicle to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Wimauma, FL, located at 4961 State Road 674, Wimauma, FL 33598.

After having service performed on our vehicle, Mavis left the oil cap loose, causing oil to leak throughout the engine compartment. We did not discover the problem until after the warning light came on.

Because of Mavis’ mistake, we had to hire a professional detailer to clean the engine bay, hood, bumpers, side panels, and other areas affected by the oil. We also had to pay for a tow truck to transport the vehicle to the nearest Mavis location.

We did everything we were asked to do. The vehicle was professionally cleaned, the driveway was cleaned, and the car was towed to the nearest Mavis location.

Unfortunately, the nightmare didn’t end there.

It has now been three months of trying to get reimbursed for the expenses caused by this incident. We have spoken with two managers, district management, and the corporate office, and despite everyone being aware of what happened, we continue to receive excuse after excuse with no resolution.

What is especially frustrating is that we are not asking Mavis to pay for something unrelated to their service. We are asking to be reimbursed for expenses that resulted from an issue caused by their service.

A company should stand behind its work and take responsibility when something goes wrong. Instead, we have spent two months making calls, providing information, following up, and getting passed from one person to another.

The actual service issue was bad enough. The lack of accountability and customer service afterward has been even worse.

Mavis Tires & Brakes — this should not take months to resolve.

I hope someone at corporate finally takes ownership of this situation and reimburses us for the expenses we incurred as a direct result of this incident.

Very disappointed. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.

They tell you to make an appointment. This I did when calling the store. Had 2:00 pm appointment then told it was going to take about 2 hours before they could check the balance on my tires. What is purpose of having an anywhere it is not honored? No explanation given as to why the delay just that my appointment didn’t matter. Really poor service.

Unfortunately our experience has not been great. The store manager of the SunCity location was taking a customer home & ran into our parked car (video footage obtained) & instead of knocking on the door and exchanging information he got out looked at the damage put broken pieces in the truckbed and drove away committing a hit & run which is felony. We had to track him down & gave him the benefit of the doubt that he would keep his word regarding repairs & now its a run around and refusal of insurance. He is acting with no integrity, accountability or ownership as a store manager this is unacceptable & belittling to a company that has him in leadership. I can only imagine how other leaders conduct when they have wronged a potential client. As a veteran I give anyone the benefit to make things right when they are in tough situations but he continued to act on his own terms representing a company with lack of morals. Do Not do Business here!

Thomas is amazing! I was headed to work when my tire got a nail in it. The store hadn’t even opened yet. He came out, looked at it and took care of it for me. I’m so appreciative of him! Give that man a raise!!
