Mike is an absolutely world class driving instructor, patient, funny and really cares about his students and the difference learning to drive makes to their lives. I was a super nervous driver and it took me until 44 to have the confidence to try for a test. I passed first time due to the top class lessons I had with Mike at Max Pass. 1 million percent recommend.

Our daughter passed with Jim a few years ago so we did not hesitate to contact Max Pass for our son. He got Mark as an instructor who had his work cut out with our son not being the most talkative of boys. We felt Mark understood him and really helped him with his driving. He communicated with us where needed. We cant thank Max Pass and their instructors enough for getting them both ready for test day and to pass 1st time.

I had Amie as my driving instructor, and I couldn’t recommend her enough! I was very nervous to start driving but Amie’s calming demeanour and way of teaching made the process fun. Amie is really good at making you feel totally comfortable around her and she stays calm when you make mistakes, always taking the time to talk through them if you need. She always made time for me during the week for lessons, especially on the lead up to my test, and understood my anxiety around driving.
I will miss seeing Amie every week and I’m so grateful to her for teaching me so well!

My instructor, Davy, was excellent. Relaxed, friendly, knowledgeable, completely focussed on improving my driving. I didn't mention much of this during the lessons, but I've had a tough time this last year, losing my mum in November, looking after my dad, working full time, studying part time to finish my masters degree (which I passed with a Merit), and on top of that having a driving test booked but no available lessons and not having access to a car for the last two or three months (this I did mention). Fortunately I found the Max Pass Driving School. I live in Edinburgh but had my test in Dunfermline and managed to arrange 5 one hour lessons which I took each day before the test. I didn't pass this time, but it was a huge improvement on my first test. Based on this test result, 2 serious (not seeing a road sign that prevents entry for cars requiring the examiner to tell me to turn right, and not moving back into the space in the left lane after the parked cars before turning right) and 4 minors, I know I can pass. The examiner said, despite the mistakes, it was a good drive. Onward and upward. I'd recommend Davy and the MaxPass Driving School.

I had a really good experience learning to drive with Mark. He was very patient, professional, and explained everything clearly, which helped me build confidence behind the wheel. He made lessons enjoyable and always stayed calm, even when I made mistakes. Thanks to his guidance and support, I felt well prepared for my test and passed!! I would highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Mark Fotheringham highly enough as a driving instructor. From the first lesson to my test he made me feel calm and confident behind the wheel. His teaching style is clear, patient and professional, and he explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, even if you’re really nervous or completely new to driving. Mark Fotheringham, is an excellent instructor couldn’t recommend anyone better . he helped me thrive in my driving experience and skills . He is positive in every lesson and helps you learn everything you need to know to be safe on the roads , and help me achieve on passing today .

I was able to pass first time and can’t recommend Fraser enough. Very helpful and knowledgeable, was great at answering any questions I had. Would highly recommend if anyone is looking for a manual instructor to get Fraser!

i had mark as a instructor when i was 17 and passed 2nd time with him i ended up loosing my license and having to resit my test took a few lessons with mark and he was really good and i passed 1 st time would reccomend highly

Mike is the most amazing, supportive, encouraging driving instructor you will ever meet. Learning to drive has been one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done, and Mike has been an absolute superstar throughout. Not once in almost two years did he ever make me feel like I wasn’t capable.

I passed with Andy at Max Pass. Andy is one of the most encouraging, and kind people I’ve ever met. He pushed me to keep fighting through and keep going with my driving journey, and with no surprise - a pass with just 1 minor!!! Thankyou endlessly Andy, I couldn’t have done it without you, you really are the best - lots of laughs too! Highly recommend!!!!!!

My daughter has just passed her automatic test on her first attempt with Mike. She enjoyed every lesson and always came home pleased with her progress. Mike has a friendly, calm and trusting approach. Mike was reliable and always on time with good communication. Mike is a very experienced instructor and always felt that my daughter was in a safe pair of hands. Would definitely recommend.
