My Experience With a Delayed Order From MBTEK

The worst experience I've ever had was with the only company I thought was truly reliable with its customers and committed to delivering items on time. That wasn't the case, based on my experience since last September when I ordered some items from MBTEK. I'm still dealing with this issue to this day. When I ordered everything, they told me I would receive it in November. October and November passed, and at the end of November, I called to find out what had happened. Customer Care told me they had a delay with the equipment and the container. I let it slide, and they gave me a new delivery month. It turns out the new delivery month was February of this year. My project was already way behind schedule, and I've suffered significant losses because I planned to install the equipment this winter. Things didn't go as planned, and now it's March, and the new delivery date they gave me is 60 days away. Many people here have tried to convince me otherwise. The company, including the General Manager, whose broken English and heavy accent make him completely incomprehensible, has offered me a 20% discount for the delay. I wish it were money back on my card; what they're offering is a gift card, something to buy things from them. I'd be the most foolish person on the planet to accept it, because all I want is my money back. It's been six months since my order arrived, and that doesn't even include the new estimated delivery time (ETA) they gave me, which is another 60 days. So, it's almost seven to eight months if we count them all. I didn't bother looking for any reviews of this company, either here or elsewhere. They seemed like a serious and reliable company, but the reality is quite different. I've seen several reviews here indicating they don't have the funds and deliveries are delayed due to a lack of money. I also saw a similar comment elsewhere. On Trustpilot, a former employer posted several things, and what caught my attention wasn't so much the reviews themselves, but that he posted them here. There are several complaints from former employees claiming the company is short on cash, which is the worst part. But what really caught my attention, and made me want my money back, are the overcharges on Quora. There, I realized all the chargebacks this former employee posted, which the company has been handling for a long time. They're showing overcharges from the month I made my purchase. In short, what I've analyzed is that this company—if you can even call it that—uses the money of all the idiots like me who buy from them so they can pay off debts and old purchases from other customers. New customers are left on a waiting list, believing their lies about delivery dates. I've also noticed from other buyers who purchased FCU Wall or Floor units in September or October and haven't received their items. Some have even had chargebacks issued by their banks, like me, who filed one this week. My purchase cost us a little over $15,000. I hope my story as a disappointed buyer helps this community and encourages them to invest their money wisely, whether with Arctic Heat Pumps or by searching for better options online. My advice to everyone here, and to anyone looking to buy a Heat Pump from this company or any other, is to first research who they are, whether they are reputable, and whether they deliver on time. Look for reviews online and don't waste your time listening to lies from sales agents or company representatives. I wish I had followed all of this advice when I should have; it was too late for me to realize who this company really was.

This company is on the verge of…

This company is on the verge of bankruptcy, use caution when dealing with them, they will promise the products and then after you purchase they will delay delivery for months, if they deliver at all. Employees are not getting paid and they are not honoring pending orders, search MBtek on Redit to confirm

Apollo 5 ton air to water heat pump for workshop

I installed a 5 ton air to water heat pump in my pole barn to heat hydronic tube that I had buried inside the concrete. Overally the experience was very do-able for what I would call an experienced do it yourselfer. The first recommendation I would have is to use AI to help make a heat loss calculation. I did so and it was quite impressive that it took my geographical location, the number of windows, doors and garage doors as well as insulation into account. It's amazing how accurate the estimate was in terms of helping me size my unit and it was free, which was a bonus. Heating in floor hydronic heat is the best usage for an air to water heat pump because the large surface area allows very low operating temperatures which increases COP. Because I'm interested in this kind of thing I put a droplet ultrasonic water flow sensor on my delivery pipes and using the ingoing/outgoing water temperatures and wattage consumed from an energy montior I have been able to periodically calculate my COP which runs around 3.5 when the outdoor temps are around freezing. My 5 ton unit pretty heavy and I mounted it on a rack I fabricated on the side of the building about 18 inches off the ground. I do plan to put AC in my building, I purchased 2 air handler units pretty cheaply from a surplus place on eBay. Just be aware if you do that you have to insulate the interior pipes so they do not have condensation. The wiring of the unit is a little difficult to understand at first - it wasn't clear to me initially if the circulator pump was meant to be powered directly from the terminals on the circuit board on the heat pump but I just did it a little differently so I didn't bother worrying about that, I have the thermostat "on" signal trigger a relay that also turns on the circulator pump. Jesus can help guide you on wiring if you want to do it differently. I do like how you can control the thermostat and monitor the unit from the app you download when you install the unit. I would highly recommend the air to water heat pump approach to heating a workshop building - it's very efficient and there's no open flame and you get the benefit of air conditioning if you need it. It's also unbelievably quiet.

MBTEK's worst lie in previous posts

Today, I want to expose two individuals who posted on this page and have no connection to this fraudulent company. It's clear that they are misleading customers, and I will ensure this does not happen again.

Firstly, the comment posted by Aleksandra Kosheleva states: "Best efficiency for a lower price. MBTEK has the best heat pumps on the market so far. Compared to the level of technology and price, I will say it is the best. I have made multiple purchases from them, and it has helped me reduce energy costs." This person happens to be the wife of the owner, Philippe Seguin, who is associated with MBTEK, a company that went bankrupt some time ago. If you doubt this information, you can find her email here: ALEX KOSHELEVA at alex@, and you know that what is missing after the (at) is the name of the company after this email. This is the email for the company she claims to have purchased from, which she uses to propagate various falsehoods and deceive potential customers.

Another comment on this page comes from someone claiming to be the owner of the company, making statements about always addressing technical problems, which is completely untrue. Understandably, he would address issues if he truly owned MBTEK. Shockingly, he continues to advertise equipment as professional while he has reportedly stolen money from his employees, including mine and others in the technical department. This is the worst kind of deception.

Here’s the post from this individual, whom I believe is misleading the public. Everyone must recognize the reality: his company is a scam. The situation is further complicated by the general manager, who carries out these questionable actions because he lacks the courage to face the consequences himself: Philippe Seguin.MBTEK is a company that truly cares about its customers. They have been incredibly supportive throughout the installation process and when sourcing parts. Their technician is extremely knowledgeable, and the entire team is professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They understand their products well and genuinely want to help their customers succeed. I highly recommend working with MBTEK! For any inquiries, you can reach out to them at philippe@same. Here is missing the name of the company after the (at). If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to ask, as this company is well aware of the specifics related to various issues that customers may encounter.
