The idea now is simple: make it easy for people to order bespoke products. 2004 saw the first McDade website launch. As a result, the family learnt that digital selling had its challenges, and perhaps the timing was a little premature. But over the following years, things changed, digital got faster, and technology moved forward. Cut to the present day, and ‘Smart Orders’ takes care of service and delivery. Design is at new creative levels thanks to 3D graphic modelling, and modern communications are on point. These fundamental elements are the drivers behind all the tweaks that are continually made. This progression is what the next generation will inherit. The family aspire to show thought leadership within the sector. This is more than just technical metrics. Quality matters. Reputation matters. The team that help with your order matter. It’s the feeling you get when you visit the showroom, handle the products or visit the website. The brand is driven by who the family are. As business owners, designers and as friends living and working in Glasgow. There’s considerable pride in what’s manufactured. David McDade was very prompt to respond to any of my queries. He was very attentive and of course the quality of the ties, which arrived long before the actual delivery date - which in itself was a HUGE bonus - are perfect. We love the ties. We love the service. Highly recommend.

Fantastic product/ excellent service
