Monday night, I lit this soy wax candle on my bedside stand while I was reading, and the little pebble-shaped vessel looked nicer than I expected. The matte finish feels smooth and doesn’t shout for attention, which I like. The scent is calm and light, more of a soft background thing than a room-filler, so that took a minute to adjust to. It burned cleanly for the couple evenings I’ve used it, and I’m already planning to keep the container for rings when it’s done.

I needed a clean way to present the Tkinter UI for a desktop tool I recently built. My raw screenshots looked pretty boring on their own, so I grabbed this cinematic mockup template last Monday. The source files are pretty huge and took a minute to download on my network, but the high resolution is insanely crisp. Dropping my layout into the negative space instantly gave the whole project a quiet, professional vibe. I couldn't figure out the subtle transition layer at first, but Mark from their team sent a quick screenshot showing exactly which folder to toggle.
