Unprofessional customer care
Unfortunately, I must admit that I was very disappointed with the assistance and customer service of this company.
I made an online purchase, which was meant to be a gift. On the day of delivery, I received an email stating that the delivery had failed due to an “incorrect address”. However, the address was correct and, thanks to external video surveillance, we were able to confirm that no delivery attempt was made. Moreover, the courier could have easily contacted us if needed.
Given the situation and considering the value and delicate nature of the item, we contacted customer service and informed them that, due to the failed delivery, we would no longer accept the parcel, as we were not willing to assume responsibility for any potential damage.
The customer service was unprofessional and inappropriate, as they denied us, in a rather dismissive tone, the right to refuse the parcel in order to obtain a refund. According to them, we were required to accept the delivery and then return it within 14 days, assuming full responsibility for any damage, even if it had occurred before the return, which would have resulted in only a partial refund.
Furthermore, they were unable, or unwilling, to provide us with a certified email address (PEC) to formally submit our complaint, which we later found independently.
This unfair handling of the situation was later confirmed by both PayPal customer service and the courier’s support, who recognized our right to refuse the delivery in order to obtain a refund.- Daniela Di Pilla
