Happy with suppliers response which as appeased my concerns, thanks.
The sheath is good, the wooden handle is decent however the all important steel blade is not very good, it is blued and the cutting edge is not well honed, was expecting better but it will do the job as it is sturdy.
Having now received a response from the supplier I stand corrected on my comments about the blueing and the cutting edge it is manufactured in that manner. So on reflection I am happy with the product.

Thanks for taking the time to review your purchase with us. We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the sheath and overall sturdiness of the Hori Hori.
The blade is intentionally blued to help protect the carbon steel from corrosion, which can look a little different if you’re expecting a bright polished finish. As with many Japanese garden tools, the cutting edge is left deliberately understated so users can put their own final edge on it depending on how they like to work.
That said, we completely understand expectations vary, and we’re sorry it didn’t quite hit the mark for you.
