Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Took longer than advertised. Delivery screwed up. Wrong parts. Blamed me and told me to hire a contractor. Ultimately admitted I received the wrong parts after 21 emails and multiple phone calls. Shipped new ones (still waiting), but nothing for the long delay, frustration, and inconvenience. STAY AWAY!

Placed an order with 2-3 day ship time…

Placed an order with 2-3 day ship time indicated. Never received confirmation for order via email, but credit card charged day of order. Called, sent email, reached out via website. Never a response from MIllwork City. Two weeks later MIllwork City cancelled order via credit card company, never heard a word from them. Buy from someone else, they will just waste your time.

I ordered touch up paint with a 2 week…

I ordered touch up paint with a 2 week lead time. 6 weeks later I sent an email as they dont answer phones. They tell you to go on line and file a request. They dont answer email requests either but are quick to take immediate payment. I still dont have the product, a response or a refund. They got me! Worse company Ive ever delt with!

This place is a joke!

This place is the worst. I placed an order for cabinets which were listed with a 1-2 week delivery. 2 weeks after paying for my cabinets I reached out to millwork city.com for a delivery date and was told they are back ordered and would take 3 months to get. I reluctantly waited and when they finally did arrive 3 months later 1 was broken, in addition the broken cabinet was wrapped differently it didn’t have the protective wrap on the doors like all the items and was very dusty. It appeared to be a return. I immediately reached out to them with photos and they claimed they would send a replacement. I waited 2 more weeks because per their website you have to wait the amount of time they have listed on the page before they will even acknowledge you about shipping dates. Which will all be thru messaging; when you call them and press the prompts thinking you will talk to someone about your order you are directed to automated responses stating how to correspond by message thru their website. A day or 2 later I was sent an email stating the manufacturer has not responded to them yet, so basically they have no idea when a replacement can be sent just claiming it will be soon. What does that even mean? At this point their resolution was to return the one broken cabinet, they know that’s ridiculous as cabinets come in sets and they are refusing to take back the whole order so what do I do without a sink base cabinet? The whole time I was waiting the webpage still stated and states 1-2 weeks delivery; they are very shady! I am currently working with the better business bureau and my credit card company to get a resolution because now that they have my money and have sent me this damaged merchandise they will no longer respond to emails and when I call I’m told there’s only 1 person on their staff that handles returns and amazingly she’s never available. They have washed their hands to my situation and are basically dismissing me. I have now contacted my credit card company to step in and help this will take another 30 days. I also reported this to the Better Business Bureau; I wish I would of looked there 3 months ago when I placed the order. They have terrible reviews there as well. Save yourself a lot of time their lower prices are lower for a reason shop somewhere reputable. I started my project 4 months ago and we still haven’t been able to bring in the contractors because we are still trying to get in touch with the 1 person who handles returns.

A deceptive and unprofessional company…

A deceptive and unprofessional company who refused good customer service when a popular you-tube channel "diyiffernt" had major problems with their supposed RTA cabinets. The word is getting out, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. If you have any kind of a problem you're on your own. Sgt Jimmy USMC

They'd lie to your grandmother with a smile.

I bought a set of cabinets a few years ago and they were nothing like they described. They were very flimsy and had the grooved cut backwards so the sides of the cabinets would have to face the wrong way, and they were labeled RTA. Guess what. They required a staple gun or nail gun, glue, and a router??? That's not RTA. The staples even pierced out the other side of the cabinet and ruined the finish. When I tried to return them, they ignored me for months. Then I filed a dispute with my credit card, they bold face LIED saying I bought the wrong size and had buyers remorse and refused to ship them back. First of all, they never suggested sending them back and when I inquired later, they said I had to pay hundreds OUT OF MY OWN POCKET to rent a truck and send them back??? When they made the mistake in their labels and materials? Wow. They got my dispute shut down and said I was trying to slander them, when I have 10 pages of proof printed out and ready to mail, but my card company refused to hear me further. Guess who canceled a card after that. Anywho, don't buy from them. They would lie to a judge if it kept them from having to pay even a return fee. They have awful service too, they hung up on me and eventually blocked my number after I called them 3 times in the span of 2 weeks. Don't make my mistake and just avoid them.

Issues with customer service and quality of products

I've been dealing with Millworkcity to get correct and non-defective parts for my stair project. I purchased iron balusters and shoes (manufacturer is House of Forgings, Millwork is a reseller for them).

There were issues with the initial order - the parts listed as compatible were not. Then when I finally got the correct parts (a second order), 31% of them were defective (the set screws were "fused" to the base shoes due to the powder coating). Millwork City didn't handle the issue, kept telling me that they had to work with the manufacturer. Time passed (weeks and months with no response) and then they finally told me that even though the items were defective, it was past the manufacturer's 30-day window for replacement. I had 50+ different email interactions with their various customer service reps to try to get resolution. Finally I get on the phone with the owner and he was quite abrupt and rude, told me sorry, you're out of luck, we're not going to help you.

DON'T do business with these people, use a Google search and find other on-line suppliers with better reviews/ratings. And also beware of of the quality of balusters from House of Forgings!

Stay Away

I had a very bad experience with Millwork City. I received a product that was entirely different from what I ordered. When I raised the issue with customer service I was told too-bad, it is custom and thus no returns. So despite receiving an awful looking product that was not what I ordered I have to live with their lousy craftsmanship. Furthermore, the tone and behavior of the General Manager I emailed with was rude and condescending. Not how a Company should speak to a customer. Mistake is mine. I should have stuck with a reputable online seller or local millwork. Would strongly discourage anyone from ordering from these guys.
