I'll not belabor this issue with extraneous information however I will report that a pair of $6500 hearing aids should in no way present any issues with regard to construction and/or performance. Happily mine don't. That said the charger is another story entirely. I'm saddened to report that the chargers are absolute junk. I'm on my third charger provided by the store as replacements and I still have to fiddle with them for several minutes each night in order to get the contacts on both the hearing aids and the charger to align physically so that the aids may charge. The design of these chargers (base and travel models) is so obviously inferior that it's astonishing to discover that nothing is being done to correct this frustrating situation. The franchisee has told me that I'm not the first to bring this to her attention which makes Miracle Ear's apathy or indifference to this issue a good enough reason to look elsewhere for hearing aids. The problem quite simply is that the cavities on the charger/s are just too damned large resulting in the hearing aids having to be delicately jiggled or finessed with the hope of eventually making the necessary contact. I have an electric shaver, a flashlight and several high end ham radios which present no problem whatsoever with regard to charging. These crappy Miracle Ear chargers are so frustrating due to their poor design that on more than one occasion I've given up, gone to sleep and awakened the following morning to uncharged hearing aids. I wouldn't expect this with a pair of $99 TV hawked hearing aids but for $6500 in addition to a flawlessly functioning charger I should be daily fanned and fed grapes. As good as the hearing aids are I'd never have considered buying them had I known how poorly designed and frustration inducing this charger situation would be. Were it not too late I'd return the hearing aids without hesitation. You owe your customers a better piece of hardware and an overall better experience than you're currently providing. Extremely disappointed.

It's interesting to me though not surprising that in the 5 weeks since these comments posted Miracle Ear has made no effort whatsoever to extend to me an invitation to contact them or to even respond here to my remarks. It seems implausible that these comments haven't been read by someone at Miracle Ear which is to me an indication of either ferocious apathy on their part or more likely the knowledge that what I've written regarding the poor quality of their charging hardware is accurate. Given the tremendous cost of these hearing aids their indifference to this issue is at once disappointing and irritating. An expensive lesson learned.

Katelin Minton admistered the hearing test. After it was completed she presented results in a professional manner that was easy to understand. After trying on a pair of hearing aids I was completely sold on them. Katelin was very professional and knowledgeable.

With my recent experiences with miracle ear, everything has gone “AI”, so it won’t really do any good to say anything here at all. Hearing aids are AI responses are AI and there is no “real” customer interaction anymore.

I received an advertisement in the mail for a pair of miracle ear hearing aids for only $999 if I called right away. Of coarse, when I answered the advertisement, and after testing, I was told that those hearing aids would not help me, as my hearing was too far gone for that model hearing aid. The only pair that I was offered was the $10,000 deluxe pair of hearing aids. ( bait and switch) They did offer me a reduced price of $6500 for the pair if I purchased right away. I would be willing to bet that all Miracle Ear franchises do this. I took the chance and purchased these expensive hearing aids, but I have had nothing but trouble with them. The left hearing aid makes absolutely no difference whether it is in or out. The right hearing aid does help somewhat. But if the volume is turned up from midrange, the sound gets an echo and distortion sound. The lady technician that adjusts them told me I should never use the volume control. Really? That is the answer to a technical problem with the miracle ear hearing aid? Don’t use the volume option on the product? Also, the Bluetooth on these hearing aids is horrible. I purchased the add on Bluetooth tv hearing device, and it just works when it wants. It cuts out when you are connected, comes on by itself when you are not connected, alternates from one ear to the other whenever it wants to. Basically, the bluetooth on these hearing aids is just junk. I have tried 3 different miracle ear tv listening devices with these hearing aids, and all 3 were not good. I have had several adjustments made on these hearing aids, and of course the 30 days free trial passed before all of these adjustments were completed, and the hearing aids are still sub par. I often get a high pitched squeal and feedback through the hearing aids, and this is something that the technician can’t find an answer to. Recently, my neighbors husband passed away, and he had a pair of oticon hearing aids that my neighbor gave to me to try out. They were 2 years older than the miracle ear hearing aids that I just purchased. I decided to take them to a local hearing aid business near me that works on all other brands of hearing aids, since Miracle Ear will only service their own product. After being adjusted to my personal hearing, these older oticon hearing aids work so much better than the miracle ear hearing aids. The left hearing aid actually works in this other brand, but did not work with the miracle ear hearing aid. The technician at miracle ear said that the problem with the left one not working was due to the fact that my hearing in that ear was so bad. Yet this other hearing aid business was able to get the left hearing aid working fine with my hearing. This proves that this particular miracle ear hearing aid is defective. I will be returning the miracle ear hearing aids to be repaired or replaced, but from my experience so far, I am not holding my breath that this company actually cares enough to fix this problem. They like to pass on the blame to the franchise owners, saying they are not adjusting them properly, instead of taking responsibility for the defective product that they are producing. Buyers beware!

This company sells overpriced, locked hearing aids that cannot be resold or reused by anyone else. That fact was never disclosed at purchase. The sales rep aggressively pushed the most expensive model and became hostile when asked basic questions.

Now I'm left with a bill over $6,000 for a device no one can use or buy because Miracle-Ear locks it down to the original user. No transparency, no resale value, no accountability.

Their business model is based on pushing overpriced hardware with hidden restrictions. Avoid at all costs. There are better, more honest alternatives.

The design is bad. The product seats on the top front part of the ear and the connecting wire goes down the front into the ear canal but does not fit snug in the ear and just lays there. If you look down there is a good chance it will fall off. I had at least one fall off every other day. I had to push in the wire all the time so the end would be in the ear canal. A lot of the time when they fall off you may not know it. The finder on the app is a joke and never showed where it was. I had to use a magnet to go over the area where I thought it might be to find it. I had them less than 3 months and lost one completely. Over $6000 for them and they are junk. I have had other products and were far better than these, they are terrible and not worth the money. Buy a different product that fits your ear snug.

The hearing test was a joke, Not even an audiologist a hearing device specialist.
Then on purchase I was not told about hidden charges, I was never adjusted to the hearing aids. They refused return Of the hearing aids.!? Then
They charged me, When I refuse to pay They reported me to the credit bureau. When I objected They said it was a charge off. Now I have Collectors coming after me for a charge off!!!! Their product is junk.Community bank is not a bank but a credit card co.cheats and thieves. Now I have a debt collector coming after me for a charge off.debt.

I got an invitation in the mail to book an appointment for a hearing evaluation. The invitation said that after the evaluation I would receive a $50.00 debit card. After the appointment I was told their was good news and bad news! The good news is that although I had some hearing loss, it was not bad enough to need a hearing aid! The bad news was that I would not be getting the $50.00 debit card promised! The agent said that to get the promised $50.00 I had to have hearing loss! I told him that he said I had hearing loss! He said it was not bad enough for me to qualify for the promised $50.00! I complained and the regional Director called and said it was a mistake and he would have the promised $50.00 debit card sent to me. That was 2 months ago! I called again and they apoligized and said it woulds be sent to me. Still nothing! Moral of the story; Miracle Ear is deceptive and unreliable!

Thank you for the response. However, your explanation relies on a false equivalence—that high prices are justified simply because services like fittings and support are bundled in. The reality is, comparable providers (such as Costco or clinics in Mexico) offer similar care, follow-up, and quality devices at a fraction of the cost.

Bundling doesn’t inherently justify a 2–5× markup—it just obscures the actual cost breakdown. If long-term value is the goal, transparent, competitive pricing matters just as much as the services themselves.

I received a mailer to visit Miracle Ear in Springfield, VA, and they complained that I was wasting "their" time. I did not offer my insurance information for the "free" exam they offered in the mail, but they somehow obtained my insurance and filed a claim without my knowledge or consent (it was denied.) They did not perform the service offered in the mailer, complaining the whole time and I felt like I was talking with a bad used car salesman trying to sell me a Buick that was only missing 3 wheels. Terrible service and fraudulent insurance claim. I am outraged by the way I was treated. Never again.
