⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Monitor Audio Silver 100 7G – Exceptional Clarity, Detail and Musicality

The Monitor Audio Silver 100 7G loudspeakers are, quite simply, an outstanding achievement in loudspeaker design. They deliver a beautifully detailed, open and highly resolving sound that manages to reveal the finest nuances in a recording without ever becoming excessively bright, harsh or fatiguing.

What impresses me most is their remarkable ability to combine precision with musicality. There is a wonderful sense of transparency and openness to their presentation, allowing instruments and vocals to breathe naturally within a spacious, beautifully organised soundstage. Subtle details emerge effortlessly, yet nothing feels artificially exaggerated or forced.

The high frequencies are particularly impressive. They possess excellent extension, sparkle and refinement, but crucially, this never comes at the expense of smoothness. These speakers demonstrate that exceptional resolution does not have to mean an overly analytical or aggressive sound. Instead, they strike a superb balance between revealing detail and delivering a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience.

The midrange is wonderfully expressive, with excellent clarity, texture and separation. Vocals have a convincing presence, while instruments retain their individual character, even within complex musical arrangements.

Bass performance is equally impressive, offering genuine depth, authority and control from what remains a relatively compact standmount loudspeaker. The Silver 100 7G sounds remarkably confident and substantial, with a sense of scale that can genuinely surprise.

Perhaps their greatest strength, however, is their ability to draw you into the music. They are highly revealing speakers, yet they never lose sight of the emotional connection that makes listening to music such a pleasure.

Monitor Audio has managed to produce a loudspeaker that combines technical sophistication, exceptional transparency and genuine musical enjoyment in one beautifully engineered package.

These are speakers that reward attentive listening, reveal the quality of good recordings and make rediscovering a music collection an absolute joy.

In my opinion, the Silver 100 7G represents exceptional loudspeaker engineering and offers a level of refinement, resolution and musical engagement that makes it an absolute pleasure to own.

Highly recommended. A truly superb loudspeaker from Monitor Audio.

I am utterly amazed with Monitor Audio as a company, and a product. I have never been a fan of metal dome tweeters. Ever. I won a pair of Bronze 50 7G from a giveaway and decided to give them a listen before moving them on, based entirely on my metal dome tweeter prejudice. Long story short, the Bronze 50s stayed, previous favorite bookshelf speakers moved along. These speakers sound far better than they have any business doing based on multiple parameters. Price point, size, metal dome tweeters, metal woofers, the list goes on. I have awakened to a company that I never truly gave much attention to, and now having listened to as many Monitor Audio systems as I could find in my area, I’ve become a bit of a super-fan. I have multiple searches saved on second hand sites, looking for deals on various vintage sets, and am currently looking for the right deal on a pair of either the Silver 100s, or the Studio 89s, to replace the speakers in my 2 channel reference system. I am a career audio engineer and have always been a huge fan of the British sound. Quite mistakenly, I didn't expect a manufacturer with metal dome tweeters to fit that expectation of full, warm yet detailed, expansive soundstage I associate with it. I have seen the light, (or heard) repented, and lay prostrate at the feet of my Monitor Audio speakers.

I have a pair of R452MDs, purchased new in 1987... the fact that I still have them should tell you all you need to know ! They are "most excellent" and sweet as a nut.
Bought them in the UK, and have taken them with me to NZ, doubt if I could buy anything else that has lasted so well.

I purchased a pair of the Platinum 100 3G speakers for my office and they are simply amazing! I can't say enough about them and they are also amazing looking in the Piano Ebony finish. I also bought the Gold 300 towers and matching center and subwoofer for my surround system and that is amazing also. Keep up the great work!

I had a pair of MA8 speakers back in the late 70s and they had that mottled multicolour back panel. They were superb. Up in my bedroom on small floor stands, driven by a Harmon Kardon amp and a Micro Seiki turntable with a hand installed SME 3009 arm with a Gradi F1 cartridge. I have never really bettered that sound since.

More outstanding customer service from Monitor Audio

A strange request from me about packaging for some speakers I own and the service has been great so far.

My first set of speakers were the MA Silver 100 7G, I upgraded to the MA Gold 100 5G with my Arcam set up.
Outstanding sound, bass is unbelievable, playing old vinyls back is a whole new experience.
One very happy customer and will sing the praises of these quality speakers and the bonus? The look fantastic in the piano black.

I bought a pair of MA Silver RS6 towers about 17 years ago for $1000 before prices went up. Powered by a warm sounding 225 watt a channel Carver TFM-24 playing records or FLAC files they are just stellar....very detailed treble...mids...and clean bass. Best imaging I ever had too great depth and width. Feed them lots of power the bass rewards you. Best speakers I ever had, I know prices are up a bit but these are real hifi speakers trust a musician!!

The Anthra W15 is a masterfully engineered subwoofer that delivers breathtakingly articulate, deep, and musical bass with such precision and control that it elevates the entire listening experience to a truly reference-level performance.

Subwoofer W10 Vestra arrived up yesterday. Primarily part of a home cinema set up alongside the SB4, 4 C180s & 2 on wall bronze surrounds driven through a Marantz cinema 50. This was an upgrade from my Sonus Beam, gen 2 Sub & two surrounds. I’m completely blown away, the Vestra W10 was the final part to be connected. I was already delighted hearing all the other kit and was particularly surprised with the base performance and would suggest if space and budget are an issue get the SB4 as a stand-alone, cracking soundbar.
The Sub took it way beyond my expectations. I’d been pretty happy with the Sonus but the Vestra eclipsed it completely. You feel it come up through the floor and grab your very soul.
Utterly amazing
I then played Come Together by The Beatles and knew I’d made a great decision. I use my Focal reference level Utopias headphones, huge on detail and separation, for the majority of my music consumption but now I’ll be going to my AV & monitor audio gear for sure.

I've enjoyed my Apex 5.1 package since 2010 with no issues until a couple of years ago when my sub encountered a problem. The technical team sold me a replacement amplifier to fit myself which unfortunately turned out to be faulty, so agreed to collect my sub and fit a new amplifier. It turns out this amplifier also had a problem, which I had put up with for a long period of time. Chris at Monitor Audio was a legend in helping to get the situation resolved. Thanks to Chris, my ears are alive again with the sound of music. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Monitor Audio, if not for the quality products, but for the after sales experience.

I have a Bronze 6g set of speakers 5.1.2. In September I purchased a further w10subwoofer but it has started emitting a white noise sound without input. I contacted MA and got through easily and spoke to Chris. he said I could either send it back or he could send send me a replacement amplifier module which is easy to replace. Excellent service.

I have been a Monitor Audio enthusiast for many years and have always rated their build quality and sound reproduction to be excellent. I have recently purchased a pair of MA Gold 200 speakers which arrived today. Having spent most of the afternoon trying them out I’m simply blown away with quality and excellence of everything about them. They are expensive BUT worth every penny and I know the sound quality will improve further as they are run in. Well done MA for achieving such excellence yet again. For the best sound across all genres in a domestic setting you will find them hard to beat!

My local Chicago dealer had Silver 100s to demo. I read great reviews on the 500 7Gs, and preferred towers. After purchasing the 500s and breaking in, the sound is amazing paired with a Marantz Model 30 Integrated and Node Icon. Also recently pulled old Sony turntable out of storage that also sounds marvelous. Huge upgrade and sounds close to live music for well mastered material. Very happy with MA Silver 500 7Gs, especially for the money. One tip from Stereophile Gold article, don't overnights the rear speaker tension bolts. Try just a 1/4 turn past when you feel them start to firm up. Opened up sound stage. Works for Silvers as well as Golds.

I’ve had a pair of Silver 6 towers for 12 years now and they’re running strong with no signs of wear, fading of the finish or any change in the frequency response. Paired to an NAD M33, they’re sublime.

I have 2 silver 500 7g speakers, 1 center silver c250 and four pcs silver 100 7g speakers. Sounds are very good, very detailed and powerful.
Only downside is some cosmetic issues on both of 500 7g models. There is a little gap around the line of tweeter and midrange section. Quality control must be more carefully.

Update: I have contacted to MA. They replied a few minutes later and gave me a solution for this. Thanks for their support.

The after sales service of this company is superb. I encountered a small problem with one of my twenty year old Monitor Bronze speakers. The company was both responsive and helpful and sorted me out with a vital spare part. Outstanding service. Well done Monitor Audio.

Brought monitor audio speakers back in the 90s love the finish clarity was excellent overall good sounding speakers ,decided to up grade all my gear last year brought the monitor 3.5g speakers wow what a difference unbelievable sound the depth and the grunt of the bottom end tops and midrange brilliant ,thing I like about it most you don’t have to drive them hard the sound is fabulous at low levels great job keep up the good work.

My association with MA speakers in Australia goes back a good 12 years or more to the Bronze B4's that I paired with a NAD 320 Bee and NAD CD player.Still playing a lovely clear warm sound.
The next venture in Home theatre uses the Bronze B5 Left right and centre with Bronze B2's as L/R surround,Bronze 100's as front height and Monitor 90's as rear heights for want of space in an Atmos set up.Lovely detailed sound in a small home theatre coupled to a REL T 5 sub and Yamaha RX 2080 Aventage amp.
The last was the main HiFi with Monitor Silver 2.5 way floor standers coupled to an SVS 200 sub and NAD 338 hybrid digital amp and NAD C568 CD player and Project Audio turntable.
I have been more than satisfied with the build quality, sound of each of the setups and the longevity that the systems have afforded me for a very modest outlay.

То что надо. Оптимальный вариант на сегодняшнее время.
