My experience with Mortgage Pro Sussex was very disappointing.
I initially contacted the company after seeing a Facebook advert stating there were no mortgage fees for NHS employees. At the time, I was planning to remortgage while also repaying my Help to Buy equity loan. An early adviser, Richard, advised me to start the process around three months before my mortgage end date, as the property valuation would only be valid for three months. I followed this advice.
When the process began, I was assigned a new adviser, David. Despite the advert and my earlier discussions, he informed me there would now be a £600 fee. As I was already close to the end of my mortgage term and under pressure, I reluctantly agreed.
I clearly explained my situation and concerns about timing. David repeatedly reassured me that the entire process would be completed on time. Another independent mortgage adviser warned me that the process would likely take longer and that I could lose money by moving onto a variable rate. I raised these concerns with David, but he continued to assure me there would be no issues.
Unfortunately, the process was significantly delayed, and I ended up losing over £3,000 due to being pushed onto a higher variable rate. Whether this was due to poor advice or a focus on commission, the outcome was entirely at my expense.
David also recommended a solicitor who was extremely slow, which further contributed to the delays.
Overall, I would not remortgage with Mortgage Pro Sussex again, and I would not recommend this company to others.

I contacted Richard initially to just discuss options and process so I was prepared for when my house search was underway. Once I had found a property, it was fast moving and Richard was accomodating with making himself available with little notice. He dealt with the mortgage paperwork etc and submitted my mortgage application so minimal work needed from me. Richard is professional and personable, and I have recommended his services.

Good choice for a mortgage broker

Richard was very helpful. He ended up getting me a lower rate than if I had setup the product transfer myself.
