The guys and girls at Newport were great from the moment we walked in we were greeted and told how things work there. We got given a price sheet and was left alone to look around no pushy salesman on our every move as I don’t like that I’ve walked away from places like that before so this was great. After looking at many cars we found the one we wanted and we sat down with Ben and he went over all our options and a test drive again hassle free. I found the same spec car elsewhere for less and told Ben and also sent he the link so he could show his manager to see what they could do when we were out on the test drive. When we returned Ben told us they are able to price match the car I found for less so we agreed the sale and paid a deposit and arranged to collect the next day. On collection day again the team were fantastic told them I was here to collect they gave us the keys and pointed us in the direction of the collection area and told us to have a look around and make sure we are happy. We found the car had a good look over this time and being in the day there was better light that’s when I noticed one wheel was darker than the others and it stood out in the light. When back in mentioned what I had found and on hand over we had the pleasure of dealing with John. John came out had a look and agreed it was darker and said this should have been spotted and apologised and took us inside showed us the coffee area where were waited to see what John could do. Unfortunately being a Saturday there was nothing they could do on the day but will have it all sorted the following Monday but we couldn’t make the Monday so agreed to collect on the Thursday so we went home disappointed as you do but can’t fault the team again helpful and understanding from day one. Collection day came and the same process we had a look over the car and it was all sorted we were happy and when back to finish the sale and Josh was on handover and was great, sat us down got us drink and then explained our options again. For the hassle on the first collection day John mentioned a car care pack and fuel money my wife told this to Josh but said we don’t want this we wanted car mats and so told Josh the ones she wanted and Josh and team Motorpoint for the hassle and inconvenience and a goodwill gesture sorted the mats she wanted….. absolutely fantastic customer service. It’s not about getting the mats it’s the whole experience and listening to the customer we didn’t want this and that we wanted something else and they did what they could. From day one we had the pleasure of dealing with a great team at Motorpoint Newport and if it’s wasn’t for Ben,John and Josh with their professionalism and dedication in their customer service we may not have brought the car we wanted so thank to everyone but specially Ben,John and Josh!!

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Motorpoint.

On 2 August, Motorpoint physically inspected my car and gave me a £6,300 part-exchange valuation. During the inspection, they identified a warning light/issue and told me to have it repaired and bring the car back within approximately two weeks.

I followed their advice, paid to have the issue repaired, and returned as instructed. I had also paid £200 to reserve the vehicle I wanted to purchase, based on the valuation and information I had been given.

When I returned, I was told that my car needed to be valued again and that the new valuation could be around £6,000 instead of £6,300.

My main concern is that I was not told beforehand that, after following their advice and paying for the repair, my valuation could be reduced. If I had known this, I could have made a different decision before spending money on the repair and paying the £200 booking fee.

I have asked Motorpoint management to explain why the valuation has changed and why I was not made aware of this possibility beforehand.

I hope Motorpoint will review the situation fairly and take responsibility for the advice I was given.

The process was smooth and easy from start to finish. Our Sales Rep, Michael Crouch was amazing. He explained everything very clearly and had time to answer any questions, no matter how small, that we had.

Prompt and efficient service. Very friendly staff on hand to provide accurate information. This was a positive experience from sale to collection. 5 Stars!

Not done the car 4 times I've asked and phoned now car book in Monday also I found another car same as one I bought which was cheaper than your but again didn't get my car for same price and staff not every helpful as I'm disabled so needed help thanks

A very relaxed way to buy a car. No pressure at all from any staff. It was, "there are the cars have a look ask for keys if there are any you wish to investigate further. Any questions come and find a member of staff". When we had decided on a car, the sales process was again hassle free. All staff had a smile and time to talk to us. Excellent customer service, I would highly recommend them.

I love my new car and I had such a good price on my part exchange.

After dealing with CarWow and Motorway and wasting my time with their "offers" that never come anywhere near what they say when the auction happens, I got a valuation for my wife's mint 2024 Mini Cooper Sport Premium exceeding the above's quotes by almost £2k.

So booked in for 11am on Sunday at NewPort, uploaded all the required finance docs, driving licence, V5C and utility bill. Turned up to a very smart and organised outfit. The young chap we dealt with (can't recall his name unfortunately) was fantastic. Car was checked over, tech's plugged it in, and when he came back he was wow, the condition is immaculate.

Fast forward 10 mins, and money lands in my wife's account (over and above the finance settlement) and the finance settled by them.

Highly highly recommended, best EVER sale experience bar none
