Excellent tool and customer support.

Quick customer service, and accomplishment of refund request after I forgot to cancel due to personal circumstances. I requested the refund within the first 24 hours of being debited. MOZ was kind enough to follow through.

The website doesn't load and I got no do-follow backlinks after multiple months of using. This is basically a scam.

I signed up for a free one-month trial but I can't log in to my account.

I've been trying to contact support for over a week now, but there's been no response.

Since they make you give them your credit card during the free trial and I can't log in, they'll be able to withdraw money, which is pretty stressful.

Don't give them your banking information!

This service went downhill over the years. We now use ahrefs entirely. They also have pretty vicious pricing where they charge your card for the year without notifying you (their emails go right to your spam probably because of their reputation).

Now everything is Paid and you also have monthly limits on the MOZbar.

For every beginner out there, I truly recommend the Moz 30 Days of SEO. This course will give you the fundamentals to do a successful campaign for your business or clients.

The HELP team arranged for a refund of monthly fees when I needed to cancel my subscription. The HELP Team went above and beyond in considering my request even though I missed the cancellation deadline. The MOZ team proved their company has customer interests at heart.

Moz Academy is the first place to start if you want to know how to get started and use the tool to its capability, instead of floundering.

I would not sign up for the free trial if you are a small business. I was testing it out and didn’t realize I had to cancel since I signed up for a few other tools that DON’T automatically charge you. When I went back to customer service-I told them what happened and got the standard “too bad, it’s our policy, that’s how SaaS works. I explained I am a small woman owned business and have not even used the platform. Again, after escalation I got the same response.

I think consumers have been trained by these companies to basically not expect any kind of customer service. It’s all “buyer beware”-no wonder people are so burnt out trying to keep up with admin that is so freaking bureaucratic.

And before you say “that’s how it works” maybe stop and question why. I think this free trial to automatically pay is nothing more than a scam.

Saas companies should have to force you to opt-in before charging you automatically after a free trial to make sure you intend to purchase. That seems more than reasonable to me.
