Like too many other reviews on here, I had 2 years of monthly subscription fees taken from my account after i had cancelled.
They only agreed to repay 2 months despite being able to see i had not used the service during this period.
Best avoided or be very vigilant with your bank statements!

Mubi hat nun es hinbekommen zumindest für den Berliner Raum, die Mubi Go Option zwar kostenpflichtig zu machen, aber eben wieder viele Filmtheateroptionen anzubieten.
War wohl doch der Systemumstellung geschuldet. Für Berlin bin ich zufrieden.
disappointment with the overall customer service experience
I was astonished to discover an unauthorized charge of yearly subscription from MUBİ dated November 2023. This incident occurred even after I had previously canceled my membership, and I have not accessed or utilized their services since the expiration of my last subscription. I believe this to be an oversight, and I kindly request their prompt assistance in resolving this matter. MUBI responded to me after several of my emails. In their response, they indicated a lack of capability on my part, suggesting that I was unable to cancel my subscription. As a customer seeking an international service, I expected a more reliable and customer-centric approach.
I look forward to a prompt resolution to this matter, although I have little hope.

Ero nella prova gratuita di 7 giorni e ho annullato l' abbonamento ma non ho ricevuto notifica. Ho ripetuto l'operazione e vorrei sapere perché compare un addebito di 95 euro sul mio conto?
Mi compare un annullamento a gennaio 2025.

Price on the way up. While inflation goes down.
I'm a current member. I think the list of movies is nice. However, it is shameless how all service providers are just increasing the monthly subscription, considering that now inflation is on the way down. Just got today their message, which i found hilarious: "the price of MUBI is changing from 11.99 to 13.99/month for all new members. BUT NOT FOR YOU... Your bill will remain the same until March 2024"... :)) thanks a bunch! Basically, I'm hit by the increase just after one month. You'll get my cancellation request soon, more likely.

J'avais une offre pour teste la plateforme avec un abonnement à un magazine. Super. Par contre, à aucun moment on ne m'a indiqué que je resterai abonnée par la suite ! Cela devait être très bien caché. Et surtout, aucun email de rappel, l'indiquant.
C'est honteux d'avoir ce genre de pratique en 2023 !
J'espère être remboursée pour les mois d'abonnement payé alors que je n'ai JAMAIS demandé à être inscrite à leur plateforme.
They've got some way to go
I like the concept and what they are doing, they are pretty allright. tried it, liked it, cool. but they got some serious competition going on and they are frankly the largest corporations in the world. they need to either disrupt the whole industry with something or spend so much money to their marketing budget. otherwise they will have some challenges to go through.
Misleading business practices
Charging international fees in Australia. The company is registered in Australia and they make the customer think they are paying for example only 50 AUD for the year. When I paid, I then was charged an international transaction fee. I took it up with MUBI but got nowhere.
More importantly, I signed up to see some movies that I could not find anywhere.. they advertised it on their platform but guess what, the movie was not available...
I think they are misleading and relying on misleading strategies to make money.
Trus me, the same way word of mouth can get you up there, the same way it can take you down unless you change your behaviour.
Gute Kinofilme, Streaming-Portfolio eher übersichtlich
Mittlerweile liefen einige tolle Filme von Mubi in den Kinos, zum Beispiel "Passages", "Die Theorie von allem" oder "Fallende Blätter". Super ist, dass man jede Woche umsonst den Film der Woche im Kino sehen kann. Die Filmauswahl im Streamingdienst ist aber sehr ausgewählt und "speziell". Habe dort bisher nicht viel gefunden.

Poor Interface and Key Component Missing
Initially an excellent concept, but the key component - a new film every 24 hours - has seemingly disappeared. The one thing that differentiated it from all other streaming services. Really disappointing. As well, the new interface and general navigations are horrible. It's too busy, I've no idea if there are new films and if so, where they are. Plus there should have been a reduced fee alongside the reduced weekly output.

I hate the new interface on my trial mubi. I won’t continue. I can never find the film I was halfway through watching and I just get repeat suggestions on the main pages There is no logic. I once stumbled upon something vaguely comprehensible but never found the list/panels again. Very sadly, bye bye
Good selection but very poor user interface and navigation.
This streaming service has a great indie and arthouse selection but the navigation and interface is terrible. Since they don't have their app on the Sony Playstation, I had to subscribe to MUBI through Amazon Prime. It was impossible to find anything other than what the streaming service wants to show you. I had to go on MUBI's website to look at their selection. I even downloaded the app on the iPad thinking it would be better but it was the same useless navigation. Unfortunately, I didn't continue with my subscription and cancelled after the trial because I couldn't browse the way I wanted like other streaming services allowed.
Good Catalog But Some Titles Are Not Available in the Philippines
I love their film catalog, and it's a good reference for what movies are great to watch, but I'm subscribed to Mubi Philippines, and most titles are not available in my country. It doesn't make sense that I'm paying a premium for fewer movies. I will keep my account for movie references, but I'll probably cancel when my annual subscription is over.
