Might be ok for others, not our thing
I didn’t know what to expect having not done a murder mystery evening before. It was not good - the actors were manic and seemed to be just having a laugh for themselves. There were three actors, all of whom were very amateur though enthusiastic. However one of them was also acting as the photographer - was taking pics regularly all night, which I personally found quite intrusive, and he even did it mid scene. The food was average / poor. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like farce type approach.

A Brilliant Night Out – Laughing From Start to Finish!
I recently attended the "Better By Nun" murder mystery event in Droitwich Spa, and it was an absolute blast. From the moment I sat down, the cast had me laughing, and the entertainment didn't stop all evening.
The acting was incredibly amusing, and the comedic timing of the performers was absolutely spot on. What really made the night special was how interactive the cast were with the audience—they brought a fantastic energy to the room and kept everyone completely engaged in the mystery.
It is fantastic value for money, and I will definitely be doing this again. If you are looking for a fun, hilarious, and unique night out, I highly recommend booking one of their events!

Name not down after paying !! waste of time !
Booked this for my wife’s birthday. We arrived at the hotel in good time and enjoyed a few pre drinks in the lobby with other guests. When it came time to be seated, our names weren’t on the reservation list - despite showing confirmation that the booking had been made and paid for.
Staff apologised, but we had clearly been missed off completely. It ended up being a total waste of time and money (two cab fares, etc.), and we weren’t the only couple affected.
I’ve since emailed requesting a refund but received no reply or apology, so I’ve had to reclaim the payment through PayPal instead.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, and please accept our sincere apologies for the experience you had. What you describe is completely unacceptable and falls well short of the standard we expect of ourselves.
You were absolutely right to be frustrated — arriving for a special birthday celebration to find your booking missing, despite confirmation and payment, is incredibly disappointing. The lack of follow-up to your email afterwards only compounded the situation, and for that we are genuinely sorry.
This was a breakdown in our internal booking and communication process, and we fully acknowledge that we failed you on the night and afterwards. You should not have had to reclaim your payment via PayPal, and we regret that this was necessary.
Since this incident, we have reviewed and tightened our confirmation and reconciliation procedures to ensure bookings are double-checked with venues in advance, and customer emails are responded to promptly. While that doesn’t undo your experience, it is important to say that we have taken this seriously and acted on it.
Thank you for raising this — and again, our apologies for the inconvenience, expense, and disappointment caused.

Awful murder mystery experience
This was such a disappointment and absolute waste of money.
£90 per person. (I was promised a discount for a group booking which I never received).
Melon & ham, cold pasta & melon for dessert. Horrendous!! Actors were terrible and not remotely funny. Avoid at all costs!!

Ive been waiting for a phone call back…
Ive been waiting for a phone call back for a week as i want to book tickets for an event in Nov but hearing these bad reviews im dubious now of booking and not hearing back either, i need more information about the event before i book otherwise i will have to go somewhere else.

AVOID!! Paid for an event, was emailed a week before to say it's cancelled, and did I want more tickets for something else or refund, requested refund, still not received it even though it claimed to be processed, getting a reply from any one is slow. Event that I paid for that was cancelled was still available for others to buy tickets until I informed them, why was it still for sale. Will likely have to go down the route to make sure others don't waste their time buying events with this company and request my money back through visa. So all in all, avoid and save yourself the hassle I've now got

Hi Jenna Unfortunately the event cancellation was not our decision and at short notice. If we have to reschedule anything its usually with one month's notice We refunded your booking immediately on hearing from you. It can take up to 10 days for a processor to refund the transaction, although its usually much quicker. My apologies for the disappointment and upset caused.
Avoid
I purchased a murder mystery experience but on contacting the operator, they ignored all communications. When I eventually got a reply via the voucher provider, they didn't have any events at the advertised location (Winchester). I'm now having trouble getting a refund. Avoid.

Hi Vaughan, Sorry I did not get back to you as quickly as you'd like. We did not have any dates in Winchester at the time and offered alternative venues and dates which were rejected. You preffered to apply for a refund from the voucher supplier. We are currently offering dates at our Winchester venue. Apologies for any upset and inconvenience caused.
