I bought an SSL certificate from my-ssl.com and never received it. Their identity verification system would not accept my valid US driver's license, so verification failed and the certificate was never issued.

I contacted support for help 5+ times, and they were no help at all.

Since I never got what I paid for, I requested a refund under their advertised 30-day money-back guarantee. They refused. Taking payment, failing to deliver the product, and then refusing a refund that their own guarantee promises feels like a scam to me.

If you're in the US, be very careful before buying here. Make sure their verification process will actually accept your ID, or better yet, use a different certificate provider.

On Sept 10th I attempted to contact their sales team and hung up on twice not even a greeting after waiting in the q for about under a minute so they "Answer and immediately hang up" while reading other reviews, it would appear that sales and support is unreliable and I am adding a +1 to that experience from my end. I needed to call them to verify their claim of "Instant smartscreen reputation" for EV cert for my software they advertise because Microsoft claims per their documentation its "Built over time" since I can't verify their claim nor get a hold of them I would not recommend this service given the bad reviews it has and they won't answer their phones to defend any claims.

This is a formal complaint concerning my Standard Code Signing Certificate order, purchased on August 25, 2026, through Stripe.

I have requested cancellation and a full refund, but your support is taking an unacceptable amount of time to provide a concrete response. The certificate has not been issued, activated or used.

The experience with My-SSL has been extremely poor. Your website advertises 24/7 expert support, yet responses are excessively delayed, unclear and frequently fail to address the actual questions. The certificate configuration process is also confusing and does not clearly explain the roles of My-SSL, Certum and SimplySign.

Most seriously, although the product is advertised as cloud-based signing, your portal generated and displayed a local private key and offered options to download it or send it by email. Your support failed to provide a clear and timely explanation of its purpose or how this workflow relates to the definitive key supposedly protected by Certum’s cloud HSM.

I no longer authorize My-SSL or Certum to proceed with the validation, activation or issuance of this certificate.

I formally require:

- Immediate cancellation of the order;
- Confirmation that the certificate will not be issued;
- A full refund to the original payment method used through Stripe;
- Written confirmation that the refund has been processed;
- The corresponding Stripe refund reference;

Your refund policy advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee for any reason. My request was made within this period. Therefore, I expect the cancellation and refund to be processed without further delays or generic responses.

My purchase was made through My-SSL. Do not redirect responsibility indefinitely to Certum. As the seller that accepted my order and payment, My-SSL must properly handle this cancellation and refund.

If I do not receive a substantive response and confirmation within a reasonable period, I will consider escalating the matter through my card issuer and the applicable consumer-protection channels.

Utterly painful ....
Tried to get a code signing certificate completed, very tedious experience and little support apart from ambiguous emails. Juggling support emails between Certum and my-ssl just does not work. Doubt I will get a refund either!

I am very disappointed with this service. After purchasing a code signing certificate, I received no response from the validation team at all. The entire verification process seems to be completely ignored.
