Absolutely NO. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

UPDATED: I mentioned that I would update my opinion whether I received the refund or not. Well, to no one's surprise, I haven’t received any refund. I fulfilled my part of the agreement and, as soon as I landed in Spain, I sent the device back to Mywebspot. Since then, I’ve only received one message saying that they would reply once they received it. It’s been three weeks and no one has contacted me. I’ve written several times to follow up and no one has responded. Therefore, I’ve lost the 88 euros I paid for a Wi-Fi device that never worked as promised.

On April 16th, I booked and paid for a pocket Wi-Fi for my stay in New York, starting April 26th. After a week without receiving a confirmation email or, of course, the tracking number, I sent multiple messages. I tried contacting them through their chat (which doesn’t work), by email, and via their contact page. Out of all the messages I wrote, they only replied to two. Communication with them was terrible, creating a great deal of uncertainty. Two days before my trip, already assuming I had been scammed, I finally received the pocket Wi-Fi.

Upon arrival in New York on April 26th, we turned it on at the airport—and it didn’t work. We thought it might be a coverage issue and didn’t worry too much at first, but once we arrived at the hotel, we still had no connection. We spent hours trying to get it to work—at the hotel, in the city—with no success. I sent them a message and got a reply the next morning: “Turn the Wi-Fi off and on again, we’ve reset it.” After doing that, it still didn’t work.

After two full days of trying to get it to function and writing to them without getting any further response, we ended up buying a data SIM card and were finally able to work thanks to that. I filed a complaint through their contact email and via PayPal. I’m currently waiting for a refund—I don’t know if they will process it—for the €88 I paid for 5 days of internet (beware of their claim of UNLIMITED DATA—it’s not true). If I receive a full refund, I will update this review to mention it, but only with that note, because the experience was so terrible I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Horrible Service from My Webspot

I am writing this review to warn potential customers about the abysmal service I received from My Webspot. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve a simple issue, the company consistently ignored my requests and failed to provide adequate support. This review details my experience and highlights the complete lack of professionalism and customer care exhibited by My Webspot.

My ordeal began when I placed an order for a Pocket WIFI device. I received a confirmation email with the order number 171597495351 and a receipt indicating that I had paid $170.77 on May 17, 2024. Despite this, I never received any updates about the delivery status of my order. Concerned, I reached out to My Webspot’s support team to inquire about the delivery date.

To my dismay, my initial inquiry was met with a vague and unhelpful response from their support team. They mentioned that there was a problem with my order and that it was not visible on their shipping platform. Instead of providing a solution or assurance, they asked irrelevant questions about my travel plans and suggested delivering the device to my hotel in Europe. This response did not address my concerns or provide any clarity on when I would receive the device.

I responded promptly, providing the requested information and reiterating my need for a clear delivery timeline. However, my follow-up emails were ignored. Days turned into weeks, and I still had no update on my order. Despite my polite and patient demeanor, My Webspot’s support team showed no urgency in resolving my issue. Their lack of communication was both frustrating and unprofessional.

After multiple attempts to get a response, I finally received an email from the support team, only to be met with more excuses. They continued to evade my questions and failed to provide any concrete information about my order. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable for any business, especially one that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, my experience with My Webspot has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their blatant disregard for my concerns and failure to deliver the promised service has left me deeply disappointed. I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering their services. Save yourself the frustration and choose a company that values its customers and delivers on its promises.

Beware of this company

Beware of this company. If you are depending on them to provide you with your vacation WiFi, you are potentially going to have your trip ruined. I booked a WiFi device for my trip nearly 9 months prior to my vacation and specifically paid extra to get my device several days early just to be absolutely sure I would have reliable internet. Approximately 1 week prior to the date that I was supposed to have my device delivered, I became worried that I had not received any email regarding shipping information or any information for that matter so I emailed their customer service team asking for the status of my order. I was succinctly told it hadn’t shipped yet and that it would be sent 1-2 days prior to the due date. I waited and waited and waited. Finally, the day arrived that I was supposed to have the device delivered and still no device and no information appeared. I emailed again and was told, “Something went wrong. Sorry for the inconvenience”. When I asked if they could get it to me in 1-2 days, they said “No that isn’t enough time”!!!!!! What kind of joke company is this? You take my money, promise a service repeatedly by a certain time, give me an annoyed quick response when I try to make sure there are no problems ahead of time, then utterly fail to do your jobs. Then to add one more level of incompetence, they stated that 1-2 days isn’t enough time for them to ship their WiFi’s when just one week prior they told me 1-2 days is their STANDARD shipping times!!! Save yourselves some misery and go with Hippocketwifi or any other company honestly. I would give -10 stars if I could. You guys ruined my vacation internet.

Horrific Customer Experience

I rented a device one month in advance of my trip. Paid for it in full. It is the day before I leave and the device has not arrived, customer service has been non existent. I have rented from them twice in the past and had no issues. This is a nightmare. I cannot recommend them, there are other companies out there. The device works perfectly fine in Europe and provides wifi so you can always use google maps or google translate, but you have to have the device for the benefits.

Pocket wifi worked one day + No customer service

The pocket wifi delivered slightly worked for a day and then did not provid internet for the rest of the period I rented it for. The customer service NEVER answered me once. I had to pay for another pocket wifi from another provider. Do not get involved with them. Still waiting for my refund.

Horrible connection and customer service.

Horrible connection, and only one device would partially work at a time. Customer service is awful, and their website doesn’t allow you to leave bad reviews—you get an error message if you click on the negative response options with their survey monkey site, but the positives go through. Complete scam.

Horrible experience

I paid extra to get the return envelope together with the device, but I never received it. The company refused to refund the prepaid envelope and I had to get a protective envelope myself (not so easy task in Mexico City for non-Spanish speaker) and print out the return label. The customer service was horrible and in the end I spent big part of my weekend in Mexico dealing with this issue. Never again, so beware of this company.

The device was never delivered

The device was never delivered to my holiday adress in Venice. This is probably the courier's problem. However, mails to the courier AND to MyWebspot were never answered properly during my stay, and afterward I was chased for weeks for not returning the device, until the courier finally returned it. There is really a lot, lot, of room for MyWebspot to improve their communication.

webspot is a scam

They advertise their service as unlimited internet and the first thing you find is that you can only use one GB each day. In addition to this, the connection constantly fails and leaves you unable to work. I ended up working with mobile data or from a friend who left me his mobile. The answer to my complaint was that "it says so in the rules of use" when in the rules of use it says that the limit is 5GB per day. A scam and completely useless.

TERRIBLE customer service

Bought the webspot-not rented. Device showed up, worked well for about 1 week then stopped working. Could not log into my account to try and troubleshoot, could not get a response back from the company after 20+ attempts. Absolutely NO customer service. Looks like I'm out $900. I would be happy to remove/change this review if I could hear back from the company

Everything worked out perfectly. We unfortunately had to cancel our order on short notice, but the customers service was very helpful and quick to respond. The refund arrived within a day!

The portable hotspot never arrived

The portable hotspot never arrived, even though I paid in advance.
They then email me asking for it to be returned.
They do not reply to emails.

Still waiting for any contact at all from them, never mind a refund for the pointless £80 I paid.

The company hide the info that they take from you, when you asked them about what exactly they take they say they re not able to answer that question.
Also, the coverage is VERY BAD in Mexico when they say they got highspeed covering, its being 4 days im in Tulum and the connection is almost 0kbps, and they told me its normal they don't cover well Tulum ... But then they will tell u u got high speed in mexico

They re definitely not a trustful company
