We got our car the major service and brake flush and then we had to go back for tyres x 4 and brake adjustment and brake pads .
$1200 later we were told by the mechanic we were going on a long trip and they said the car was fine to get us there, to there acknowledgment .
We left for our trip four days after seeing the mechanic and making sure the car was fine as it was running smoothly up till the time we left home but soon found out it was not to be.
We started kangaroo jumping half way on our trip and by the time we reached our destination our car was running very rough to the point it wasn’t able to hold power at all on hills and going through fuel.
I rang our my-car mechanic once we were at the motel and he rattled of a list of potential problems and I said to him aren’t the spark plugs , leads, fuel filter and points under the service and he said no..
I am of senior age and in my day they were, so I never thought to ask about those but in the future I will.
Next morning my-car mechanic told me I had road side assistance and we used that to get a tow truck to take us to another my car centre for more work and to find out why it was running so bad. Well it turned out it needs six spark plugs and a fuel filter urgently. Another $350 later the car got us home but our two day getaway saw us stranded at a motel and no way of getting around and then stranded at a shopping centre until the car was fixed. I have mobility issues and it was extremely painful to be walking when you can’t use public transport other than a taxi which we did in the end. Thankfully a friend got us to our medical appointments why we waited. Sadly it just wasn’t the planned break we had in mind.
However Craig at Rockhampton was extremely helpful , polite and answered all questions we asked. He arranged for our car to be seen by the next mechanic that was also very helpful and friendly to deal with at the next my-car centre. They got our car seen too quickly and fixed way before the schedule time. So thank you guys for your help even though stressful we did get down just, at least we had a smoother trip back.

Great service, fit us in on a Saturday at short notice. Fixed the tyre for free as it was such a simple problem! Will be back!

Love accessibility to center nearby to kill time. Guys on front desk are always friendly and professional. They seem organised which is nice. No ums and ah's.

Only issue was I didn't have any calls when car was ready. Had to have someone walk down to see and then we realised it may have been ready much sooner. Probably busy or miscommunication.

Booked in two new tyres and an alignment. Everything is going up, including price of tyres. 2 x Vikings increased. Sorry to seem a lil shocked at the desk. No biggy and thanks for checking for me! Car feels much better now to top off my new suspension etc. As always love the tyre care plans. The service and plans are the main reason we visit.
