Really helpful admin staff who called me as soon as i had put in my info request. Much better to talk to someone rather than receive generic feedback to a website. Made my decision then to send my dog and was accommodated with dates due to my working hours. My dog loved his stay and i could really notice a difference in his walking even after only 10 days. Morgan was great with him and updated me every 48 hours with pics/videos and an overview. We had an hour together when i collected him and really went through how to manage him to keep him making progress. She is still in touch via email with little queries i have and is happy to meet up if we plateau and can't move forward again. Would definitely recommend for intensive training for lead walking. The kennels he stayed in seemed OK but weren't well signposted and quite tricky to find!

I was a little apprehensive sending my miniature dachshund here for a number of reasons, he’s a typical daxie - loud, barky, growls, doesn’t like people, separation anxiety. So to me there was little chance of this working, but I had to try it as unfortunately his behaviour was becoming too much for me to be able to deal with and to enjoy having a dog as this is what I anticipated when getting him.

We are now a month after the stay and I could not be happier with the results, we were blessed with Holly as our trainer and she is literally a dog trainer angel sent from heaven.

During the 2 weeks my dog was there she kept me updated from the moment I left, sending pictures, videos and general updates.

When we came to collect him, we spent a long time talking about my dog, all the behaviours she had picked up on and it was really refreshing to hear her take on things, she is clearly very knowledgeable about dogs but more importantly, she took the time to really understand my dog. I didn’t get the standard ‘he’s barking because he’s trying to establish his place in the pack’ but instead an actual reasonable explanation to his behaviour. This has helped me massively with his training and I am far better equipped to handle my dog.

He’s far more manageable, I feel super intune with him. I understand him a lot better and feel very well connected with him. He’s still not the perfect dog but he’s improving day by day. I’m really impressed with how holly still checks in with me about him over a month on and how she genuinely cares about how he’s getting on. I feel far more confident taking him out and about, I know what to do, and I really can see a change in him as the days go on. Sometimes I cannot believe he is the same dog.

Would give holly 1000000/10 - thank you so much for improving my life with my dog, I feel so lucky and grateful to have been placed with holly and cannot recommended enough!!! Thank you a million times over!!

Best decision I ever made sending him!

This is our second experience with a trainer from My Dog Trainer and we have to say we couldn’t be happier with Holly.

Upon requiring further support with our dog Kane we were assigned Holly and she had a different approach to our previous trainer.

We were a little sceptical having been pleased with the previous trainer however once Holly got started it was clear she was extremely passionate about her work and her approach was second to non.

We went away on holiday and left our dog at Broadmarsh kennels which enabled Holly to work with Kane for a couple of weeks and provide us the most incredible report we’ve ever seen.

The report was extremely in depth and enabled us a tool to go back to in order to ensure we kept up the good work Holly had put in whilst we were at home.

Our dog Kane has improved so much in many areas of concern to us and recently we even received a home visit which enabled Holly to get a feel of Kane in his home environment.

Our two rescue dogs worked with Holly in the midlands . First thing to say that the communication was excellent and we could soon see that there was a rapport between trainer and pups with regular video updates. The dogs always seemed happy in their surroundings.
They have returned home better trained and more trainable and we understand what we now need to do in order to fully resolve their issues.
The trainer seems to spend a lot of time working with the dogs and interacting with the owners.
The partner kennel also seemed well run and we liked the fact that the dogs were walked in varied locations away from the kennel.
Happy to recommend but if your dog has issues don’t expect a magic wand. They don’t exist.

I was very nervous about sending a 5 month old puppy on 12 days residential training but I am delighted with the results. Morgan did a wonderful job on Fern’s recall and loose lead walking. When we collected Fern, Morgan spent a considerable time showing us how to continue with the training at home. As a result of her training, Fern is much calmer, walks very well on a loose lead but the biggest improvement is out in the forest off lead. She continually checks in with us rather than being off in her own walk. A very good outcome.

Absolutely pleased with sending my furry friend for training. We met Holly on the day who answered all our questions and put our mind at rest. Our main issue with our furry friend was pulling in the lead especially as he is nearly 38kg, Holly has worked wonders and glad to say the training along with the follow ups has done brilliant things. No longer getting pulled and we are able to go for a family walk with our furry friend. Would highly recommend to any persons looking for excellent training. Thank you especially to Holly

Great experience! Amazing trainers that know what they're doing! Not much else to say really besides I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone because of how good, open and put of the way it is! So much space for the dogs to have fun and get trained properly!

We left our dog for 10 days in the kennels and under the stewardship of Lucy's training. She listened keenly and observed his behaviour while implementing a practice that recognised his houndish traits while encouraging better behaviour.

After 3 previous dog trainers in London worked on our, at times unruly hound, we were delighted to finally notice a substantial change in his behaviour thanks to Lucy. We highly recommend Lucy and will be sending our dog back for further sessions if needed. She constantly kept us updated with messages, photos and comprehensive notes.

I highly recommend Lucy and this training program.

Morgan was great. She sent regular videos of Honey which made me feel more involved. Honey is a very excitable English bulldog she came back a lot calmer and responses to direction now. When she doesn’t respond Morgan has given me the tools to react in a calm way to get things back on track. I would happily recommend Morgan and My Dogs Trainer.

We took our 8month old Hungarian Viszla to Morgan. He’s such an excitable pup and we were really struggling with his lead walking and recall. We’re so pleased with the results. Morgan trained with Juke for 12 days and when we went to pick him up he’s improved so much already. Morgan showed us everything we needed to do to continue his training from home. He’s a lot more calmer walking on a lead and isn’t always pulling which was such a big issue for us and his recall is great! Thanks so much Morgan x

My dog has an issue with chasing after dogs when we were out on a walk and had difficulty focusing on me when dogs were around which was really frustrating.
I took onion to broad marsh kennels and we had Holly assigned to us as our trainer. Onion took to her straight away and she made sure she understood all of my concerns. I was worried about onion in kennels for the first time but Holly sent lots of videos, photos etc to put me at ease.
She also sent videos to show me her training methods while they were out and about.
When I went to collect onion, Holly came in on her day off to go through all they had worked on and what I need to do going forward to keep seeing improvements
She also emailed me a very detailed report with images, behaviour to look out for and training details which was above my expectations and advised if there’s any problems in the future to get in touch which was lovely!
Holly is an amazing trainer and I very much appreciate her training method (positive reinforcement). By no means have onions issues been completely fixed but I know how to work on them and what to look out for!
100% would recommend!

So glad I made decision to put my 8month old goldendoodle pup in to kennels with residential training. He was well looked after, and got lots of additional stimulation and exercise with the trainer (Morgan). Morgan kept me fully updated whilst we were overseas with videos and emails, she’s amazing and I’d have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone! Her training methods, explanations, patience and understanding with our pup Sidney was amazing! As we dog lovers know it’s the owners that also need training and I think Morgan explained things succinctly. We’re very happy to have our boy home and the care given during his stay at Delvallie Kennels in Nursling was also fantastic, it’s kept so clean. I totally recommend the entire package, I will use again. So reassuring knowing how attentively cared for he was. Thank you all

Our dog went away as a little demon and came back as an angel! Everything she has been taught is amazing and she is performing so well!

Our 2 Fox Red Labradors have just spent 12 days at the St Albans branch and I have to say we have seen a vast improvement in their behaviour since we collected them. We asked for training specifically on lead walking and recall and we can already see the difference it has made. I have to say that not only were they well looked after but their Trainer Lucy did a fantastic job and also really built up a bond with both dogs. Lucy sent us updates every day with photos and videos plus some very good info to carry on the training at home. very impressed by the whole set up from booking to dropping off and collecting and Lucy was a star. They also very well looked after at the kennels.

Really helped me as my disability’s I struggled.

Our gorgeous young cocker spaniel had the delightful Morgan as her trainer for a week.
Morgan was kind, thoughtful and understands dogs brilliantly. We received useful training tips and our cocker has improved on her lead walking and recall. We would definitely recommend My DogsTrainer

The whole experience was invaluable. From enrolling to onboarding, training and off boarding. We got a totally different puppy back. A huge thanks to Holly, who patiently trained our furry family member 😊 I do recommend MyDogs Trainer.

I had Holly as the trainer for my dog Blue and she was amazing!
She sent me updates everyday of Blue and also continued to checkin afterwards to see how she was doing. In addition to this I got a full report on what training she did and how to keep it up as well as some other helpful documents to help me train Blue further

I had booked in our dog for the two week stay in St Albans , having discussed several issues with Ame on the phone. Particularly on and off leash walking dropping items and staying for an extended sit, and better focus around other dogs and distractions. They are very nice on the phone and reassured that the issues I raised would be addressed.

I had considered using off leash k9 but the price was more than double so thought I’d give mdt a chance.

Arriving at the kennels and speaking to the trainer it was evident not many of the behaviours I identified on the phone can be addressed and we was given a washed down version of what we wanted done and promised over the phone. The trainer mainly focused on recall which my dog was already good at and dropping items, and the stay command. And some lead walking.

Of pictures and videos.

When we picked up our dog the trainer tried to demonstrate some of what she learned, but to be honest it wasn’t a lot, our dog didn’t really demonstrate any of the behaviours other than stay. especially her lead walking if she isn’t rewarded with food while doing it the behaviour is non existent. Her drop is hit and miss but I will work on it (same as she was before), her stay command is the only thing she really learnt there.
I would say though just because of the number of dogs at the kennels and the constant barking, I feel like she is now desensitised to other dogs.

Overall mdt is a cheaper option but you get what you pay for, which is not much.

I thought she would be more along for a two week stay and I reckon if you spent the money on one to one sessions with a local trainer you would get better results.

Failing that I would prob use off leash k9 my friend used them and their dog is spot on with the commands, their course also comes with guaranteed commands and the dog stays with a trainer so they get more than the hour a day mdt can offer and therefore much better results and value for money when you consider what the dog will actually learn.

There was some value from using mdt but I don’t think it was worth it considering what was discussed on the phone and what the trainer provided were two different outcomes. For a course that cost over £1000 for a dog to come out not much different than going in it’s definitely not worth the fee. My dog literally just learnt how to stay and even then it’s only for a few seconds.
And there is no way of knowing what the trainer can do till after you paid the non refundable training fee and actually go and see the trainer.

I wouldn’t recommend this company for dog training.

From start to finish my experience with MDT has been amazing. When calling for advice and information for our naughty german shepherd Buddy, Ame was so helpful and listened to every issue I mentioned. She quickly got us booked into Broadmarsh Kennels in Stourbridge where we were met by our trainer, Holly. We were sent daily updates and videos, both of him in training along with videos of him having an amazing time! When picking him up, the change was remarkable. We watched Holly walk us through everything she had been practicing with him so that we knew how to implement it at home. It was a rocky start as we tried it ourselves, but that's to be expected. Within two days of collecting him, thanks to Holly, me and Buddy are completely in tune with each other and he walks amazingly on the lead and checks in on me if I have to slow down due to my back problem. Previously he pulled so much that I was not able to walk him, therefore we didn't have a strong bond. I cannot thank Holly enough, not just for teaching him commands, but helping me to have loads of fun teaching and playing with Buddy out in the open, meaning we have an amazing relationship again! (My neighbours even enjoy watching me train him!) Holly continues to check in and always replies with advice for any issues that pop up and we feel so reassured that we can always turn to them for help. So a huge thank you to Holly, Ame, and Broadmarsh kennels who also went above and beyond. I urge anyone to use MDT. Positive reinforcement only, and life changing!
