I have been getting calls from them…scammers

I have been getting calls from them just after renewing my mobile contract with EE. I ignored the calls and texts. The calls comes at awkward times hence why I ignored them. Just today I answered and so annoyed as I terminated the important call for them. I got their texts and decided to call them quoting the reference on the text. They wanted me to go through security checks which I did and before completing all I asked what is this all about. Was told I owe EE, am I ready to make the payment of whatever amount I couldn’t even hear it well. I was so annoyed as I know that I don’t owe EE a penny. She went on to say she will make EE a note to find out why they brought the case to them yet I am still with them as my network provider. I called EE afterwards and asked them about this EPfinancial. EE said my account is up to date and the next bill is on the date we agreed on. They warned me about this scams that apparently so many people are reporting the same incidents of being called claim they owe EE. I fear identity fraud more than anything, I refused to confirm my email but has given my DoB. I will report it to the police tomorrow with all their texts, calls and ref numbers.

BEWARE! Received a demand out of the blue for money I do not owe to EE. They even got my address wrong which makes me think they’re scammers.

Can't really rate as there is a…

Can't really rate as there is a somebody reaching out under your name. Was contacted numerous times regarding money owed to EE. My account is fully upto date. Please please check before anybody pays the false company any money. Is it possible for the legitimate company to perhaps look into this scam if your not already .

Debt scam to exploit vulnerable people into giving them money

I’m writing this genuine review of my experiences with EPFS to warn other people that this company tries to claim that individuals owe money when they REALLY don’t, so people can then relax hopefully.
Check all the one and two star reviews to get the real picture.

First and foremost, I have never contracted, or
bought anything, or let alone even contacted Ionos, the company that EPFS claim I owe money to. And this is the same for hundreds of people in different reviews of them, on the internet. So it is not coincidence. Check the “who called me”website also, for more reports of their scams.

EPFS try it on with people, and the vulnerable will give in to their persistent nuisance calls, letters, and emails. The companies say they don’t have any records of any debts. EPFS hide behind claimed links with professional institutions, but really they ought to be struck off for misleading practices. They wouldn’t have to defend themselves so vehemently if there was no cause.

UPDATE to respond to their self defensive pretence of being decent, when they deliberately harass people they don’t owe money, into thinking they might have to pay. All over the internet there are reports of this debt scam by them.
They’ve asked for more information, but I don’t want to give them my contact details. To avoid more harassment from their fake debt scam.
And the window has passed now to give EPFS my references, anyhow.

As all the other 1 star reviews (the other ones I suspect are not genuine, as the 1 star reviews tell the real story) This company sends fraudulent messages, and emails, and letters claiming one owes money to a company they’ve NEVER contracted with, and so DO NOT owe money too!

This point is so important as they write
disingenuously polite replies here, claiming that they are simply middle men acting on behalf of their clients.

This is simply NOT TRUE!

I presume they somehow obtain people’s confidential information and try to exploit it and scam people into paying money that they DO NOT OWE!
An unsuspecting vulnerable person will probably be scammed. Hence my writing this review warning via this review website.

People have asked them to stop their fraudulent claims, but they carry on doing so.
They will reply on here with their “I’m sorry you are having a bad experience” and “we are an official organisation and regulated etc”
But yet they persist with their desperate claims for money “on behalf of their clients”
The clients they claim to represent have never heard of them.

*So people do not be fooled, rest assured that you do not owe them money if you’ve never contracted with the companies they claim to represent*

We could all get together and sue them for damages, and their persistent harassment.
It is illegal to try to get money from people that they DO NOT OWE!
So people I recommend going no contact and eventually they will stop their fraudulent claims and harassment. Don’t engage as they use your information again for more related false claims.
If they don’t stop harassing me, then I shall report them to all the financial regulatory bodies, and trading standards, and to the relevant consumer protection bodies, and appeal to trust pilot to take down their fraudulent business reviews here.
As they are clearly using this site to whitewash their exploitative business practices.

In the name of decency and fairness, cease and desist! or you will be hounded by the press, and on social media, as the rogue company you are, trying to scam money out of people that do not own it.

All over the internet already, this company has been flagged as scam, and is notorious, and linked with fake claims and victims have stood up to to their fraudulent harassment for money.

I have had enough stalking from this company and will get them to stop harming innocent individuals.

Unfortunately, the information in this review is incorrect and appears to be intentionally damaging. While we respect all customers' views and will always aim to remediate where something has gone wrong, it is also important that we provide feedback where the information shared is false.

Any attempt at contact from our firm is legitimate and in no way fraudulent or a scam. Creditors assign us to provide support, typically when a customer is in arrears, as we are well placed to help, treating customers with understanding and compassion. This is a normal initial stage when a customer is in arrears, the Financial Conduct Authority regulates our services, and our goal is to connect with our client's customers and support with an affordable and sustainable solution.

For example, we are proud of our partnership with the Free Money Advice Debt Charity StepChange through the StepChange Direct programme. Through this partnership, we offer customers access to free money health checks and budgeting tools and ensure we can offer the right support based on their individual circumstances.

The positive reviews you suspect are not genuine are all from customers who have engaged with our helpful team. The one-star ratings you have referenced will occasionally be related to situations where our service has not met our expectations. Unfortunately, though, many are from situations where we have not engaged with the person writing the review, and a view has been formed without speaking to our team.

We are keen to resolve any complaint you may have, as you mentioned harassment and potential contact regarding a debt you do not believe is owed. However, as we cannot identify if you are a customer from this review, we have reached out to you via TrustPilot for further information.

Very understanding staff

The lady I spoke to today listened to me and understood my situation she also talked me through everything I needed to know. I genuinely felt she wanted to help me and she guided me in the right direction. I would never be worried to speak to this company again especially with the lady I spoke to today.

Very nice polite people helped to get through to EE phone folk that I was not due the money that they were hounding me for. This non-existent debt was thus eventually written off. :)

Zero stars it's very important for you to contact me regarding my account you purchased from lowell harassment to my cellphone and Gmail account will not help you and as like the previous 5 company's you will receive zero no money no correspondence no reply this company based in Glasgow is a scam they purchase debt from large companies and try harassment tactics I could very easily purchase my own portfolio and write it off to credit reference agencies please reply to me and promise you will never harass me again or I will share with youtube how to easily purchase your own debt and tell the cra the account is settled all of mine are already settled but still your harassing my phone and g/email I look forward to hearing from you kindest regards Mr Never Pay

We are not an active Debt Purchaser and have not purchased the debts we may have contacted you about. Creditors assign us to provide help, typically when a customer is in arrears, as we are well placed to help, treating customers with understanding and compassion to reach affordable solutions for their circumstances.

Spam issue on company side

Spoke with a gentleman, helped me with my finance solutions . Got email from them it came up as spam , also got phone calls from them came up as spam. Why I asked and he seemed bit upset and became frustrated and pushed me into raising my voice. Firstly listen to the customer and don't start being forceful like all other debt collection agencies. It is no wonder people don't want to speak to you . I'm sure most people in a finance difficult situation would be more responsive if you changed your attitude instead of acting like jumped up police . Little bit of tact and sorting the company phone call and email out as not coming up as spam would be a start.
