Stay Away...Predatory Charging

This company is absolutely a scam. i did purchase a personality the test for 1.95. i did not. Do you see any information regarding automatically being enrolled in a subscription that jumped up to 39.95 a month. If it was in the fine print, it was just that, very fine print. when I went through my emails, I could not find one thing that had to do with this company. I looked around the date of the first charge. I did a search through all emails, including spam. I had to find their company online. And when I went to them for cancelation, and I refund. I was offered the twenty five percent of the last month, and with much argument got them up to forty percent. Inwish I had read this prior to accepting the 40%. Because now I know I am not the only one, and that they are extremely predatory. they could not provide me with the date of the email confirmation, they indicated, I received and advised I was enrolled in a subscription nor would they give me an email? It would have come from. i did finally find an email from a completely unrelated company called testlibrary.com. Thank you for those of you who have posted previously about this company so that I could get to the bottom of this. DO NOT use this company.Stay away stay far far away.

Be extremely cautious with this…

Be extremely cautious with this company. I paid £1 for an online quiz, only to discover I had been quietly enrolled into a hidden £39.95 monthly subscription with terms buried in illegible text.

I requested a full cancellation and refund within the 14-day cooling-off window without ever accessing or using the account. Customer support initially refused a full refund, attempting to settle for 25%, and then 40%, claiming internal "company policy."

It was only after escalating the issue and threatening a formal bank chargeback that I received a resolution. Classic subscription trap tactics—avoid them at all costs.

Pure scam site

Charges you 1.95 at first and then sends an email with tiny tiny font at the very end of the email letting you know the service charges 39.95$ every four weeks. A total scam.

I saw an advert for MyTraitsProfile on Instagram

I saw an advert for MyTraitsProfile on Instagram offering a personality/ADHD type profile for £1.95. Nowhere in the quiz itself did it make clear that this would lead to a recurring £39.95 subscription charge. If that information was there, it was in text far too small to reasonably notice.

I received one confirmation email after paying, which did mention the subscription, but I hadn't opened it (easily done if you're not expecting a subscription in the first place). No further emails or reminders were sent before the £39.95 was taken.

I contacted their support (a rep called "Ella") within the 14 day cooling-off period that applies to online purchases under UK law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). I was first offered a 25% refund, then 40%, with each reply claiming the terms had been "clearly disclosed at checkout" without ever showing where. It wasn't until I held firm, referenced the 14 day cooling-off right specifically by name, and asked them to provide evidence of disclosure, that they agreed to a full refund.

If this happens to you: you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days regardless of what their subscription terms say, this is a statutory right, not something a company can opt you out of by disclosing it after the fact. Don't accept a partial refund as a first offer. Ask them directly to show you where their terms were disclosed. If they don't refund in full, your bank can process a chargeback.

It looks like you send 3 push back emails before they give you a refund. Each time I said that if I didn't get a full refund I'd request a bank chargeback, report them to Trading Standards and Meta ads and leave bad reviews everywhere.

Here's the email I wrote first: Subject: Cancellation and refund request - Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally cancel my subscription and request a full refund of £[amount] charged to my account.

On [date you signed up], I completed a quiz on your platform and paid £[initial amount] to access a report. At no point during the quiz itself was I clearly informed that this would lead to a recurring subscription charge of £[subscription amount]. If this information was included anywhere, it was in text so small it was not reasonably visible or legible, and I do not consider this to meet the standard of clear and prominent disclosure required before a consumer agrees to pay.

I received [one email / no emails] from you [dated [date], if applicable], which mentioned the subscription terms. I received no further emails, reminders, or notifications before the £[subscription amount] payment was taken, including no notice immediately prior to the charge being applied.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, I am entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date the contract was entered into, during which I can cancel for any reason and receive a full refund. This is a statutory right under UK consumer law, and it is not overridden by your subscription terms. I am within this period.

I would like the following:

Immediate cancellation of my subscription
A full refund of £[amount] to my original payment method
Written confirmation once this has been actioned

Please respond within 14 days. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be pursuing a chargeback through my bank and may refer this matter to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards.

My account details:

Name: [your name]
Email used to sign up: [email address]
Date of payment: [date]

I look forward to your prompt response.

Kind regards,
[Your name]

I’m only giving one star because that’s…

I’m only giving one star because that’s the minimum available option for leaving a review. I paid $1.95 for a one time report and I absolutely do not recall reading anything about that being my agreement for a $39.95/month subscription. And for a site I’d never even interacted with! DECEITFUL TO AN EXTREME EVEN GREATER THAN MOST SCAM APPS!! And, like other reviews mentioned, I cannot find a way to unsubscribe. Fortunately, I use a prepaid card for any purchase like this and I keep the card locked until ready to make a purchase; therefore, they haven’t managed to get $40 from me yet but NOT FOR LACK OF TRYING!!! I have MULTIPLE denied transactions daily (6-7). I’m probably going to have to replace my card which is just a hassle. I certainly hope a few people read these reviews BEFORE falling into the trap of these disgusting people, as opposed to finding out the truth AFTER they’ve joined this frustrated group of people who have been scammed!!

This is a scam company because they…

This is a scam company because they charge your bank under the name mytraitprofile.com, but the actual name of the site is not the same. It is different so you are not able to find it in your history because you were on another site. So, mytrait by proxy is charging while you are on a totally different site called IQtest.com and testtaking.com and we're never told it was a subscription. This happened to me and im disputing it again tomorrow. I took the test August 16, 2026... the 36. Charge to my bank showed the 1.99 right away, then a week later the 36 charge

All I did was take a test and it costed…

All I did was take a test and it costed like a dollar 95 and I paid for that and I didn't notice that in the writing somewhere that I am signed up for a trial subscription and I forget when I took that test I'd have to look at my checking account to see when they took the $1.95.
Then August 27th 2026 they charged me $39.95.

So I found where I can cancel the subscription which I did not sign up for.
And then I sent him an email saying I want a refund and they telling me I'm only getting 25% of it and there are just a bunch of liars and thieves

mytraitsprofile.com aka testlibrary.com are SCAMMERS

I woke up to a message from Discover saying that a $39.95 charge from mytraitsprofile.com had been declined, and asking me to confirm whether I had authorized it. I had not. I did not recognize the company or the charge.

After looking into it, I remembered that about a week or two earlier, I had taken an Enneagram test on testlibrary.com. After completing the test, I did purchase the full report for $1.95.

At no point during that purchase did I see any clear notification that buying the $1.95 report would enroll me in a membership or subscription — especially not a $39.95 subscription associated with a completely different website, mytraitsprofile.com.

After confirming with Discover that I did NOT recognize or authorize the $39.95 charge, I checked Trustpilot to see if others had experienced the same thing. I found numerous complaints about unsolicited memberships/subscriptions.

I then accessed the account that apparently had been created for me and, sure enough, it showed a $39.95 plan. The “Cancel Subscription” option on the account page was greyed out.

I went to the Contact page, where there was another “Cancel Subscription” link. I entered the email address associated with the account and received an email asking me to confirm the cancellation. I clicked the confirmation link, only to receive the message:

“There is no subscription to cancel.”

Yet when I refreshed my account, it still showed the $39.95 plan.

The same thing happened when I tried the cancellation link provided by Testlibrary in response to a Trustpilot review testlibrary. com/ cancel-sub

So now I have to spend even more time trying to resolve a subscription I never knowingly signed up for in the first place.

And as for the report itself: I found it to be practically useless. The paragraphs seem written to sound clever and profound, but much of the content was so vague and convoluted that it wasn't actually useful or comprehensible.

BEWARE of these online personality/test sites. They are heavily promoted on social media, and I strongly recommend checking a company on the BBB, Trustpilot, and Reddit before entering your payment information.

I knowingly paid $1.95 for a one-time report. I did not knowingly authorize a $39.95 membership.

To summarize; The initial payment I made was understood to be a one-time payment of $1.95 for access to a report / test. At the time of checkout, I was not clearly, prominently, and unambiguously informed that this payment would trigger a recurring subscription charge of $39.95. I did not give specific, informed, express consent to any monthly or recurring subscription at that price.

Make sure you understand exactly what you're signing up for before purchasing anything from these sites.

Total SCAM

This is a complete SCAM! They offer to give you a personality test for $1.00 and then you answer questions. Then they offer to send you the detailed report for $1.95. When you do that, you are automatically signed up for a monthly charge. When you try to contact them to cancel it is a dead end.
They charged me the $39.95 and two days later charged me again. My bank caught it and I tried to call mytraitsprofile with a phone number the bank had and it was not a working number.
Do not fall for this company.

Scam site signs you up to pay a monthly fee

I saw an ad on Facebook to take a personality test. I went through the test, then it asked if I wanted to pay $1.95 for the results. I went ahead and did it. As soon as I did, a screen popped up saying they would be billing me $39.95 a month starting in a week. I immediately emailed them and told them to unsubscribe me. They say they did, but I think I may need to replace my credit card.
