I thought the experience was pleasant…
I thought the experience was pleasant and efficient from start to finish. Pre move doing a video call to show the amount of stuff to be moved was easy and turned out to be plenty. On the two days of moving the removers Mike and Victor (phonetic alphabet names!) were fantastic. Jovial, careful and very quick with minimal mess and fuss. Would highly recommend.

I recently used Northstar Removals & Storage for a local move, and I was genuinely impressed by their professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy throughout the entire process.
Having relocated many times around the world during my career, I’ve dealt with numerous moving companies — and I can say without hesitation that this one was one of the smoothest and most organised moves I’ve experienced.
A comprehensive, on-site survey was conducted prior to the move to ensure an accurate quotation, which I was pleased to accept a few days later.
The visit of a company representative was a decisive factor in our choice — as we have often moved overseas and abroad, we truly value personal contact before entrusting someone with our entire home.
The team was punctual, careful with every item, and highly respectful. Communication was excellent, and everything ran exactly as planned.
As I mentioned on their quality questionnaire: “Absolutely great team! Thank you very much!”

Excellent professional removal company
I moved from London to Bristol and can honestly say Northstar Removals provided a superb service. From the initial assessment, to the administrative staff to the packers on the day they were very professional and worked quickly and carefully packing up my personal possessions and transporting them. They were polite and helpful. I would certainly use them again and will recommend them to my friends.

Northstar Removals provided a fantastic service from start to finish.
This was a large move from Harrow to Manchester, and they kept us well informed throughout the entire process — nothing was too much trouble.
On the first day, as promised, extra team members were provided to help with the loading, which was especially challenging as it involved a 2nd-floor property with no lift. The four men who delivered all our belongings to Manchester the following day worked exceptionally hard and handled everything with great care.
I can highly recommend Northstar Removals. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive — but absolutely the best value for the quality of service provided.
A promise well delivered!

All collected items were to be taken either for my home or storage. It was only after a direct question to Greg that this was confirmed as having been completed.

Just to add some context, during the move you preferred to pack your books yourself on the first day. We of course respected that choice, but it did mean our crew couldn’t begin loading those (many) cartons until the following day. This understandably added extra time to the schedule.
Even so, our team worked hard and extended their hours to minimise the impact of the delay. We’re always committed to doing our very best for our customers, and we wish you all the very best as you settle into your beautiful new home at the castle.

Unfortunate experience with Northstar
Unfortunate experience with Northstar. They forgot our TV and we had to go back and get it ourselves. We take responsibility that we should have triple checked everything but moving day is stressful and we trusted it would be done. When booking they said large items like sofas, TV and bed would be packaged by their movers but the TV was not. They reassembled our bed completely wrong and even left screws on the floor but the director now a month after the move has said he can send someone to fix it which is of no use to us as we fixed it ourselves. They also damaged our bed, mattress and TV unit and we are awaiting confirmation from the insurers. They asked for more money from us at the end despite it being within the 3 hour time slot (Paulina called to ask for more money and we have proof of this. We declined but said as a compromise we would tip the drivers which we didn’t feel comfortable doing and was not exactly voluntary but we did it just to get the job finished). We even moved most of the boxes out into the hallway for them to make it easier as we recognise the stairs are challenging and wanted to make it as smooth as possible.
I have now received an email threatening to sue me for defamation if I don’t delete this review. This review is completely truthful and honest of my experience therefore I will not be deleting it.
