Operator One is the Merchant of Record (MoR) and Importer of Record (IoR) for European Marketplaces. We become the legal seller of record for brands selling on Amazon EU, Bol.com, Zalando, Kaufland, Allegro, Cdiscount, OTTO, eBay and 100+ other marketplaces across all 27 EU countries and the United Kingdom. As your Merchant of Record, Operator One absorbs the operational and legal stack that makes pan-European marketplace expansion difficult: VAT registration and filing across 28 markets (OSS, IOSS, and local VAT in 8+ jurisdictions), EU consumer-law liability (returns, warranties, withdrawal rights, customer service), product-safety compliance under the General Product Safety Regulation including acting as the EU Responsible Person, DAC7 marketplace seller reporting, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) registrations per country for packaging, batteries, WEEE and textiles, CE marking documentation, marketplace payments and reconciliation, and account-health management. Brands keep their identity, intellectual property, and revenue while Operator One handles every fiscal, physical and operational responsibility behind the scenes. O1 Suite — the brand-facing platform Everything we operate runs through O1 Suite, our proprietary operating platform that brands log into to see exactly what is happening across their European business. From a single dashboard, brands see real-time gross sales, returns, and net revenue across every connected marketplace; per-product performance with stock levels, glance views, conversion, buy-box status, and category rank; active replenishment plans and inbound shipment tracking (incoming purchase orders, ASNs, container ETAs); returns flow per marketplace with reason codes and quality flags; advertising performance with campaigns, keywords, ACOS, TACoS, and organic vs paid share; per-country compliance status — VAT filings due, GPSR Responsible Person assignments, EPR registration health; settlement and reconciliation, with every marketplace settlement matched to invoices and FX-converted to the brand's base currency; and a change log showing exactly what our operating team did this week, last week, and last month. O1 Suite is what lets a single operator (us) manage the entire pan-European operation — typically going live on the first marketplace within 30 days of contract. Brand visibility is full and continuous; the operational complexity is absorbed entirely on our side. The Forges — internal production studios Behind O1 Suite sit the seven Forges, our internal AI-augmented production studios that handle the daily output volume of running 50+ brands across 100+ marketplaces. PIM Forge is the single source of truth for product data across every channel, with per-marketplace content transformation and digital asset management. Catalogue Forge handles brand-data integration and onboarding, mapping a brand's raw catalogue into O1's operating shape. Logistics Forge orchestrates pan-European fulfilment, warehouse routing, and 3PL coordination so every marketplace's promised delivery times are hit. Support Forge runs multilingual customer service across the 28 markets, with marketplace-specific case handling for Amazon, Bol, Zalando, Kaufland and the rest. Advertising Forge runs sponsored campaigns, PPC, retail media, and ad-budget allocation across brands and channels. Visual Forge is our AI-augmented studio for product imagery, A+ content, infographics, and video — the visual production line behind every PDP we manage. AI Layer is the automation backbone underpinning the other six, from listing translation across 6 languages to pricing intelligence to inventory forecasting. Each Forge is an internal production unit, not a tool brands buy — they are how we deliver Merchant of Record economics at the scale required to run 50+ brands without exploding our headcount. Who we work with The brands we serve are most often categories with proven product-market fit elsewhere (US, Asia, or single-EU markets) that want to scale into Europe without standing up local entities, hiring 10-15 person operations teams, or spending 18 months building regulatory infrastructure. We work across beauty, wellness, home and garden, DIY and tools, fashion and lifestyle, electronics and consumer durables, food and nutrition, and pet care — categories where brand stewardship and operational depth matter more than transaction volume.
