Our journey to exchanging contracts was long and fraught with difficulty. Throughout this whole time, Oakheart kept us informed and up-to-date, and we felt that Amy really understood the issues and motivations behind them and gave some very solid and level-headed advice. She was constantly calm and always available at the end of the phone to provide reassurance and explain any issues. We also appreciated the very valuable advice provided by Josh at several decision points along the way. We have had contact with many (too many!) other Colchester-based estate agents and none of them came anywhere close to providing the high standard of personal customer service that Oakheart did. At every step of the journey from very first contact they were there providing well-reasoned and honest advice and excellent service. If you are thinking of selling your home I would highly recommend Oakheart for an honest, reliable, and excellent experience.

I had a really positive experience with Oakheart Sudbury today. I needed a mortgage deed witnessed urgently and they were incredibly helpful and accommodating at short notice.

Freddie Austin in particular was excellent – professional, friendly, and happy to help without making it feel like a hassle at all. He took the time to make sure everything was done properly and clearly understood what was required.

It’s refreshing to deal with an estate agent who is genuinely helpful and approachable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oakheart based on this experience alone.

I have had mixed interactions with estate agents and unfortunately alot of them are useless and do sweet nothing.

However, Oakheart & Amy in particular was an absolute diamond. Was on top of the process from start to finish, chasing solicitors on both sides and got us over the line eventually.
She went above and beyond and is incredibly competent!

I've been trying to arrange a viewing of a property since last week - called six times and each time I've been told someone will get back to me. I've given up now. Unprofessional attitude.

A really lovely friendly and professional agency. Very helpful staff especially Debbie and Nathaniel. Very efficient and thorough with their work.

All staff that I’ve so far been in contact with my new tenancy has been excellent.
Emails responded to promptly which is reassuring .
Korben who showed me the property was excellent, he didn’t rush the viewing and took time to answer any queries.

If I could give zero stars I would, do not go anywhere near this company (Colchester branch) to let out your property. All good while they are taking a so called 'management fee' from you every month but when it comes to dealing with the TDS to help you get some deposit back from significant damage left by the tenants then I have been bitterly disappointed. Emails not replied to, telephone calls not returned, and to top it all have not told me that the TDS have awarded the deposit back to tenants. I resorted to phoning TDS myself when Oakheart have failed to communicate with me to be told that the 28 days has passed since the financial settlement has been made so I, as the Landlord, can no longer raise a dispute. I will be in contact with the Ombudsman.

I viewed a property and asked them to come back to me the following morning with some information regarding another viewing and some information on renting potential. I was promised a phone call by two people the following information with the information. The next morning I received a text message instead of a phone call asking if I wanted to make an offer. I texted back regarding the information. This turned into about 6 text messages which did not answer any of my questions. The property was up with another estate agent so just texted back to say I would leave it and blocked them

Avoid Oakheart.

I've already left a Google review, but felt it was important to share our experience across all platforms to help others avoid what we went through.

They showed a complete lack of care for us as tenants. Communication was consistently poor, and they failed to address a serious complaint about damp and mould in the property.

As a result, my husband became seriously unwell, was hospitalised for two weeks, and was signed off work for three months, with ongoing health issues.

To make matters worse, we've received no compensation for the furniture and possessions that were damaged and had to be replaced due to their inaction.

Avoid them if you value your well-being and peace of mind.

I would highly recommend Oakheart Property. They have been extremely helpful, kind and reliable in managing my property. A special mention goes to Nathaniel who has gone above and beyond. Nothing was ever too much stress or trouble and he is always willing to help.

I have found Oakheart Property to be friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Freddie has been a pleasure to deal with.

Oakheart disgust me. I wonder what their agents are doing because , rather than selling houses they seem to be agressively poaching custom from other estate agents.
I would NEVER do business with this company because they are totally untrustworthy and lied to me on the phone about the numbers of properties they have sold in my area in my price range.
They are not fair company and they dont listen to people when they are asked to be left alone.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I was in the process of purchasing a property through Colchester branch of Oakheart, but later came to understand lots of information Archie and Chloe at Colchester Oakheart gave me and the contents of the advertisement on Rightmove were factually wrong!! They advertised the property as freehold, when the property was partly leasehold. Said the it was only 9 years old, when it was 20+ years old. Said the boiler is only 5 years old and services annually, when both were wrong and the boiler was 8 years old. They advertised the property ad semi-detached when it was really End of terrace.

Korben Levey from Oakheart Letting has been a great help in finding our home for the next few years. Took only a week for everything to be in place and he has been so accommodating to us with our queries and concerns. Thank you!

Brilliant service! Saw a flat on Thursday and requested about it, Korben called me up first thing Friday morning, took some details and let me know he was heading over to the property and was able to squeeze us in to view it, answered all our questions and made us feel like we could ask anything of him! Kept us in the loop the whole time! Couldn’t ask for a better letting agent!

I had an amazing experience my estate agent korben was amazing always got back to me in timely fashion and my show round was great very polite and answered all of my question and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable I would definitely recommend 10 out of 10
