It's a dilemma

It's a dilemma. I've had a few outages in the past 3 months. I called Octaplus and got a call back. This is unusual as most companies never get back to you.
In this case all looked ok on my router but no internet. We went through a few things but nothing worked. I got a mail telling me everything should be ok but it still wasn't. However replying to the email and a quick call with no wait resolved the problem. Some sort of reset at their end.
So I don't know what the problem was which I would like to know. It could have been City Fibre.
So for cost and contact Octaplus are good. But there is a bit of a question on what the problem was and could it have been fixed quicker.

speeds were terrible

Installation was late, router arrived two days after the installation date, paid for 2100 mb download speed, was getting 73mb, customer support was not uk based, cancelled within the 14 day period

Compared against other UK broadband…

Compared against other UK broadband full fibre providers for the same speed (thereabouts), and settled upon Octaplus as the best value for the term of the contract. Unlike other providers they also state they don't have the annoying March/April monthly charge increase - which was a big plus! Genvil at Octaplus was a great help getting me signed up and the installation arranged. So far so good.

How to get double billed

Upgraded to a faster service with better wifi, what I got was double billing for the old service + the new service, no new service, no better wifi, no new router. Octaplus is very efficient at taking money, every thing else is terrible.

No fuss tricky installation

The installation was handled with little fuss. The engineer had to run the cable across the street through an old oak tree. This needed more support to be called in. This was all achieved without any hassle for us, and we were up and running by the end of the day.

Superb service.

Excellent service up-to-date notification when service
are been carried out,up to now I have not had to contact

I had virgin media before and the…

I had virgin media before and the router needed rebooting a couple of times a week. They then also increased the price. Leaving them was made so difficult customer service non existent. I've now been with octoplus for 2 years and it's been brilliant. I've now just renewed and it's actually cheaper with faster speeds. Great service

Octaplus is a great internet provider

Octaplus is a great internet provider, excellent coverage.
The customer service team are amazing and helpful, I have been with them 2 years, just renewed didn’t even look elsewhere. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENT Support Team

Whenever I take out a new service, I understand that things can sometimes go wrong. So, the most important thing for me is how well the service is supported. When I found myself in a unique and difficult situation after a split, I needed changes made to the account that required Siddhi from Octaplus's support team to be extra careful and diligent in sorting everything out.

Siddhi was extremely helpful and attentive and has solved a huge issue for me - an enormous weight off of my shoulders.

Left with no internet unless we stand next to box…

Cannot get internet unless in the room with the box. The engineer cut 2 Ethernet cables we had paid £200 each for, so we cannot use these any more and moved the box into the front room.

Thank you for your reply Octaplus, but our internet is still not working as of 27 November. I emailed to cancel our contract 5 days ago as you have failed to deliver the service, but as yet have had no reply.

Good Broadband Supplier

I've just renewed after my first contract with Octplus. It's good speed and good service at sensible price. The only downside was the inflated price they offered me for renewal like so many providers. However, I did my research, and they easily agreed to give me the same deal as a new customer.
