Excellent full fibre installation company

Excellent full fibre installation company. In addition to the installation of full fibre their consultants were excellent teachers and fully briefed myself of the technology advantages and for advising that I needed an eSIM facility to be able to operate my iWatch. City Fibre certainly deserve 10 stars plus I know look forward to the same standard of service from Octaplus

Good customer service.

I had a problem with internet connection after a contract renewal was necessary (my error, not Octaplus.)
Their response was swift and satisfactory and Vrunda was able to talk me through re-connecting successfully within a couple of hours.

Started off well...now have issues and nobody replies or rings...

So, a great start, 900/900 speed as advertised, fantastic! Then it started to go wrong....
After technical have remotely tweaked settings, speeds have become really erratic, and upload speed is less than 90 today.
I've emailed billing, no response..
technical have now stopped responding to email thread, and left a voicemail last week as 'no one was available to talk to live'...and no response in the three days they quote!

So unless I get a resolution, I'll be moving service elsewhere at the end of this week, and Octaplus can jog on.

Ignoring customers is a quick way to lose business, regardless of only having a contract for a month!

AND takes over two weeks to respond to a poor review!!! Obviously do not care about customers or the business. Took 17 days to get a response from cancellations, now MI formal complaint and also communicating with the ombudsman.

Spend your money elsewhere, when you have problems with Octaplus, you will end up out of pocket financially and waste hours trying to speak to someone

Booked an engineer to install Octaplus on Friday. Stayed in all day but no one arrived. No communication from Octaplus or CityFibre. No one answering calls to their call centre. Not a great first impression.

We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and completely understand your frustration regarding the installation charge.

We want to clarify that this specific charge is for the ONT upgrade which is technically required to support the new multi-gig speeds. We are required to pass on this fee as it is set and applied directly by our infrastructure partner.

While we strive to keep costs minimal, upgrades like this are necessary for the hardware required to deliver those high-speed tiers. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Transferred over to them when my…

Transferred over to them when my previous ISP went bankrupt. I worked for the previous ISP and helped facilitate the transfer or all of the accounts to them. Was agreed due to my work on the transfer and as part of the contract that I would not be charged for service however was shocked to find that I apparently owe over £1000 with no warning and they refuse to investigate or resolve an issue of their own making.

Keep up the good work

I have been with Octaplus broadband for a couple of years now. After a poor start, which I think most of the 1 star reviews on here are for, they seem to have really improved a lot. I recently had an issue after some maintenance work and sent off an email to the tech team. Within 10 minutes they were on the phone and 5 minutes later my Internet as working again. A really quick response and courtious member of staff. This is how customer service should be, quick and efficient.
Keep up the good work.

I was so glad then fibre came to our…

I was so glad then fibre came to our street . I had amazing offer for 27£ a month for 900+ mbps
1st thing instalation to the property was absolute joke. My neighbour is working at BT he asked me is it DIY and I said no it was their so called engineers.
2nd speed never was even close to 900 as many times I was trying to get in touch with them regarding instalation quality and speed 0 luck
3rd the best part on the renewal they wanted to increase the price and offered amazon voucher, but I found better deal so I have switched to another provider. I have received message from them asking to send their router back which we did even we used fragile tape on it... 3 weeks later they are sending picture of the broken router pad and demanding 150£ for it I have opened the case saying please talk to your courier as we have done exactly what you have asked for... there was no specific instructions or packages provided... at the end of the day they have closed the case saying box was too small please pay 150£ stay away from this scammers !!!

Was it a good deal or a con to get customers?

Although initially I thought renewing was a great deal, I found that the offer or renewing came with a £50 Amazon gift card, but since renewing have heard nothing of a gift card. Previously I paid £27 per month, now I should be £32 a month but a week after renewing, Octoplus took 3 payments out on the same day £27.00 plus £17.07 and £12.60, totaling = £56.67 (that's not £32?) with no explanation to why the extra payments, I am now worried to how much they will take out next month, as I decided on a contract of £32 with a gift card but that was ploy to take what ever they want - I may now look to contact the communications ombudsman!

Rang to get details for setting my own…

Rang to get details for setting my own router was promised to it will be emailed but wasnt. Rang the second time was on hold for 15min when it was answered the agent didnt speak and then the phone connection was dropped not good on the first day. will ring again.

Rang a again spoke to the same lady, this time I received the details and was able to get on line with my router
