Action taken to fight Cyber Criminalss a followup from my review made…
This is a followup from my review made on 06/05/25. OfferUp,Inc. and Cuzuve.com, a streaming server and scammer has been reported to U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation for cyber criminal activities. Cuzuve used a popup tracking instrument to steal my credit card information while I was making a purchase on Offerup.com. Under federal and state law this is a white collar crime. I intend to press charges. Everybody who experience these types of online behaviors should report it too the law enforcement agencies. We consumers have to fight these crooks and spammers and not give up.

Sold an item, instead of getting paid they stole money from me!!!!
Posted items online for sale with mo problem. Got a buyer that requested I mail item. Was advised that offerup would send the money for item and shipping but need a valid method of payment to send my money. Tried using Venmo card and Cashapp to avoid giving them access to my account. Was told that these were nit valid accounts and that my account would need a certain balance so that they could validate it. Instead of validating my card for payment, they actually deducted $290.00 from my account. I had to file a fraud claim against Offerup. Run, dont do it!!!!!!

Deceptive Billing Practices and Unprofessional Customer Support
I am the owner of Credence Auto Inc., a licensed used car dealership, and I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with OfferUp’s advertising service. I originally signed up for a 90-day advertising plan and made sure to submit a written cancellation request via email 10 days before the end of my service period—well within any reasonable notice window.
Despite my clear intent to cancel, OfferUp continued billing me beyond the 90 days, ultimately charging my business for approximately 5.5 months of service. This is not only unacceptable, but it feels deliberately exploitative.
When I attempted to resolve the issue, my assigned account specialist, Arletys Valdes, was completely unhelpful. She dismissed my refund request and offered no accountability or assistance. Worse, she misrepresented the charges, falsely stating that the first month’s pro-rated billing was an "activation fee"—which was never disclosed in any of the signup materials. When I asked for clarification, her response was a condescending “sorry you didn’t read the fine print.”
This kind of attitude toward paying customers is not only unprofessional but unethical. OfferUp’s lack of transparency, misleading billing practices, and refusal to acknowledge legitimate cancellation requests should be a red flag to any business considering their services.
I strongly urge other small businesses—especially fellow car dealers—to think twice before investing in OfferUp advertising. Their customer service is dismissive, their billing is murky at best, and their business practices feel predatory.

No assistance/not trustworthy
I tried to open account with OfferUp but all it kept doing was wanting my credit card number. It never went through even though I verified with my bank. I want only to sell. Why is PayPal not available like when it was Letgo? I uninstalled when Google wanted to save my CV #. Red Flag!
DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Trash app ran by trash people
After using OfferUp to buy the occasional item, all without hitch, problem or complaint I was told that I had to submit to the truyou certification. No reason given and no help from customer service. After a bit of dealing with someone who couldn't outwit a potato I may have questioned the lack of genetic diversity in their family tree. At that point I just didn't care. Anyhow, trash app ran by trash people. Also, they may run afoul of the ADA by demanding a phone for verification. Not all people can or want to use a phone. Hopefully someone will sue.

Everything is wrong with this app and…
Everything is wrong with this app and their customer service is run by a stupid AI and a bunch of even more ignorant imbeciles
I have been on this app for some 5 years and been ripped off about 9-12 times by scammers pretending they received wrong or broken items in which case they have to return the item to get a refund. I received back trash, empty beer cans, cigarettes butts even cat or dog poop. Several times my hundreds of listings (i m a retired interior designer liquidating 40 years of left over samples art, decoration, household items) have been wiped off and the account deactivated by their stupid AI for the same “rule violation” posting A BIRD WATCHING TENT 🙈 or some authentic art painting showing a woman s shoulder 😂
Took weeks of lost time for them to acknowledge their mistake reactivating my account but loosing all the hundreds of listings.
If you have a piece of trash perhaps you can waist the time and list it on Offerup and if lucky you ll sell it for 10-20% the listed price in a couple of months. Otherwise take my advice Mercari, Ebay, Craigslists are your far safer and better options with far far better results.

A STUPID site by Stupid people. Yeah! I want to play around with my cell phone to make shitty listings because they made it cell phone only and impossible to use a computer with all your stored pictures. This is discrimination and I intend on suing.

READ ALL. MY HONEST REVIEW.
READ ALL MY REVIEWS ON THEM. DO IT NOW. READ ALL They are supposed to be a Free app to buy and sell. But they are Decieving and Misleading. Because if you don't give them your credit card to pay them your money to join their membership They secretly block all messages of potential buyer from you because the monitor and control all messages from potential buyers going out to you and all messages you send to sellers. They will block your messaging during a conversation and send you a message saying that you will get a faster response from who you were talking to if you pay them money monthly. And this person who you was messaging no longer can see your message to them or you theirs because they blocked you from receiving them They are Scammers who are misleading and decieving because they don't want you to make a sale if your not paying them their monthly payments But they advertise it's Free to buy and Sell. then send their own pop up add saying to pay them and your responses will be seen quicker to WHO you were just talking to that they blocked. And when you express your concerns to their customer service they make up dumb excuses that your conversation timed out. Or the other person deleted their account. So when you search for that person on a friends account you know offer up lied because
that same person you was talking to never deleted their account. And if you personally know the person like I did and I have their personal phone number and I asked the if they ever got my messages they say No Because Offer Up is blocking conversations. They also won't let you use their app unless you give them permission to look all through your personal files and all media on your phone. This is very Scary and Dangerous They have been all out harassing me because I left an honest review on them. They have no intention to be better or to address your concerns. Unlike most businesses In my honest experience Offer Up just wants to find out who you are But every since I left my review they have been harassing me on many things They sabotage me when I'm posting something they never did before I left a review. It's constant. It's so many different things I don't have enough room to write them in this Another thing they do is I had a seller instead of shipping me the item I purchased they shipped me a bag of Rice. Now I document everything and I took pictures and sent them to Offer Up. This Seller is also a Scammer. Offer Up kept her on here and didn't kick her off. But threatens to kick me off just for asking for a payment form and Zelle and cash app are forms of payment. And about 99 percent of their sellers ask this from me. So when I ask I get kicked off for violating rules. But a Scammer can accept my sale and payment and send me instead a bag of rice they finally refunded my money after I reported it and I still see this proven scammer on here. They save these types and all the undesirables and only allow them to view your items for sale and block you from the Real buyers if you don't pay them membership fees. But it advertises that it's Free to buy and Sell They are also sabotaging my messages by putting in links when I message to buy from sellers that I didn't make and then sending seller warning notifications warning them false information that I sent the link and that I'm a identity thief and to be cautious of me.When I never sent any link I don't have any links. And I have no interest on breaking the law I don't know how to steal identities Harassing me and retaliating against me for writing reviews on them.I have screenshots and I sent them all to my Mom in case I accidentally erase them This is only one of the harassment incidents because there are many many more. Please read all of my reviews.

they want your Social Security number for any amount of sales
I have used OfferUp for local sales and have been OK experience with that but when someone asked to purchase a $50 item from across the country and use their shipping, they withheld my money saying that they use a service called strive and they need my Social Security number in order to get paid so in order for me to get paid I had to give them my Social Security number be very careful. I will never use them again and of course I did not give my Social Security number.

Unreliable - Sketchy
This site deserves a 0, but it's not an option. I tried to buy from a person who 1) said they had the item and would ship "tomorrow" 2) I asked because their description said one thing but the stock photo description said something else and they had to go to their storage to look 3) cameback and said the bottom of the pan was missing and they just had the liid 4) agreed to sell me another item at the same time but then later emailed and said they wanted to bundle things so they were waiting to see who would "win" the offer. 5) didn't respond when called out on breaking our agreement
A second seller didn't respond to my request to purchase something.
This seems to be a site for scammers, losers, and liars.

Buyer scams me out of $300 false claim refund
So i sold an item, a diesel performance tuner on offer up recently shipped it and then the buyer received it. Once received the buyer messages me saying that his truck a ss chevy 2005 got stolen, and he would like to refund the tuner. ( the tuner he bought was for diesel trucks specifically listed in the listing Diesel about 3 times, also stating does not turn off emissions. Buyer then says package was well packed n good condition. Next message buyer states the box was never opened and that it shouldn't be a problem to return it. (Contradicting the first message saying it was well packed.) 3rd or fourth message (refund request) states that its not the right model and item description wasnt correct. Well of course its not going to work its marked a diesel and this man bought it for a SS gasoline truck . Offer up then still decided to side with the buyer. Scamming me out of $300 usd . Anyone that uses it for selling n shipping i highly advise you take your shipping off your listings. I believe this is a new scam thats going to be arising.

OfferUp Sucks !
OfferUp is a crap site to sell anything. Most people who sell do not respond when you ask about the item. Or when selling, you get a bunch of Yo Yo’s that want it for free. Plus they ask if you deliver it and not offer anything for your time or gas money. They want that for free too. Plus the stupid annoying advertising when you trying to find what you’re looking for. You spent more time trying to wait for them to end so you can continue. Screw OfferUp! Just as bad as Craigs List bullshit!

OfferUp is a Professional Scam
Offerup is a professional scam! OfferUp contacted me because they said they could give my business better visibility. They set me up with a business account and told me they would charge me a total of $250 for three months of use. Unfortunately, they lied, and charged me $250 every single month, and then upped it to $500 a month. The invoices were going into my spam folder, and I did not catch on to this for a few months. When I finally realized what was going on, I had a terribly hard time a hold of them. I ended up calling them a dozen times over the course of a week till I even got a response from. Since I didn't contact them 30 days before the next billing period, they charged me an additional $350. I lost a total of $2350, and won't see any of it back. The customer support was horrible, although they definitely have a much better sales team.

ZERO STARS- this was once a 3-star…
ZERO STARS- this was once a 3-star marketplace. Now it’s about the worst online market site on the Internet. Mostly it’s a conduit for Temu junk, bots, and bullshitters. The “offers” themselves are absurd. Examples: (a) I offered brand new, in the package, leather boxing gloves for $29 (I paid $125). I received 2 “offers”— for $8 and $2. (b) I offered a new, never used, stereo amp for $20 (I paid $70). I received an offer of $1.50. I tried to BUY a bike—made the deal, made the appointment, brought the cash. When I got there 40 MINUTES later, the guy said he’d just sold it to someone else.
