Excellent creative support from Home Stylist at OKA Guildford
Eglee, Home Stylist at the OKA Guildford Store, recently advised us on a chest of drawers for a master bedroom renovation project, as well as the choice of a rug for the dining area of our kitchen. Eglee kindly created a mood board presentation of the new bedroom that showed a wide range of options and was so helpful to be able to print out and consider at home. In the end we decided on the Anya Chest of Drawers which was newish at the time. Eglee let us know as soon as this was available to view in store and advised on complementary paint colours for our bedside tables as well as other aspects of the plan. The Anya looks stunning in our room and is both stylish and the perfect proportions for the space. We separately discussed a rug for the kitchen, and using an image of the room, Eglee created a presentation that showed us exactly what a variety of rugs would look like. She also took the trouble to contact me when my favourite rug went on sale at a lower price. Eglee is extremely professional and very generous with her time - I recommend her highly.

Top notch customer service
Customer service is top notch at the OKA in Guildford. Ottie and Caroline were particularly helpful. From sorting a last minute online cancellation and refund to expert advice on the right shade for my lamp base, it is clear that customers come first. A really positive experience.

I was served by several different women…
I was served by several different women re the purchase of a sofa and on subsequent visits re the purchase of cushions. Everyone of them was helpful going out of their way to measure the sofa and latterly try various cushions. Their suggestions were helpful and only on one occasion did I feel under slight pressure when served by a young woman however in fairness I did go to the store half an hour before closing time on that occasion.
A really positive experience- a pleasure when in so many shops /stores in Guildford the opposite is the case and has been for decades.

Excellent Guildford Store Manager - Danielle
Impressed with Danielle, the Guildford store manager. I enquired about stock by telephone, she was so helpful and encouraged me to come in-store. A previous order placed online had not yet been delivered, she quickly found the items for me in-store and concluded the transaction easily, proactively suggesting to cancel the Web order in parallel. Fantastic approach, high touch customer service approach and practice, everything easy and delightful with Danielle.

I received a genuine welcome from Caroline who helped me choose table lamps when I visited the Guildford store. A good shopping experience and I love the products. Caroline helped me to source a specific lamp I was looking for at another store.

I am leaving a review for Polly at Oka in Guildford, because I genuinely feel her level of customer care deserves to be recognised.
I came into the store a few times with my husband to pick foral arrangements (September 2026). From the moment she helped us, Polly was engaging and incredibly patient. We were taking our time deciding, and she never once made us feel rushed or pressured. Instead, she listened, took an interest in what we were looking for and gave us her time and attention so generously.
Polly showed comprehensive knowledge about the floral arrangements and is clearly very passionate about her work. She made us feel valued as customers and took real pride in helping us find something that was right for us.
In fact, it was Polly’s approach and care that made the difference for us. We chose to purchase from Oka Guildford rather than elsewhere because of the experience she gave us.
Polly’s exceptional level of customer service really stood out. She has a natural warmth, professionalism and enthusiasm that made such a difference to our experience. We left the store feeling looked after, and that was entirely down to her.
Polly is an absolute credit to Oka, and I sincerely hope her efforts are recognised. I work in a senior management role in another sector, and I recognised genuine skills and qualities in Polly. She has a natural ability to connect with people, a genuine passion for her work and a level of care that cannot simply be taught. These are qualities that I hope will take her far in her career at Oka.
She is exactly the kind of person who makes customers want to return, and someone any organisation should be proud to have representing them.

Beautiful store and wonderful service
I have just purchased the large, blue and white, Zhoushan vase from OKA in Guildford and I am very pleased with it. It is a very striking ornament and looks lovely in my home. The whole of the store is beautifully laid out and there are plenty of staff to assist you if you have any enquiries. I was exceptionally impressed with the service I received from Diana and Emma and it was a great help that the vase was taken to my car as it was very heavy.

Amazing cushion selection
I wish I could remember the ladies name (Wednesday afternoon in the Guildford store) but she helped me select some cushions that would work in my living room. She spent 20 minutes with me going through various combinations. I purchased 5 cushions and they are amazing and look fabulous in my living room.

Perfect Store Experience in Guildford
I’d bought and returned a couple of rugs online from Oka because they just weren’t right for our space - instead I decided to tow my young children to the Guildford branch, which is about a 90 min drive, to see them in person. Polly immediately came over to help, and honestly gave us the best experience - she was so kind to our children, she could see that I wasn’t quite finding what I was looking for and directed me to a rug that she loved which ended up being “The One”, and then she helped with matching cushions too. They look absolutely incredible in our living room, and I wouldn’t have chosen them without Polly’s help. She’s a superstar, and we’ll certainly make the trip again for help in more areas!
