Caught breaches I had no idea about leaking my personal data.
So far I have been getting alerts sent for data breaches, my info. On dark web and other info. I didn’t know my info was bleeding out to scams, dark web and my info was at risk for hackers to access my banking. I thought I was careful but I guess if they want info they will get it if it’s not protected. Thank you OmniWatch for watching out for me.

Scare tactics/messaging and inaccurate results
Decided to give the "free scanner product" offered by this company a try after seeing them advertised in a LegalEagle video on YouTube. Suffice to say that the saying of "if it's free, you're the product" has held true. Rather than getting any free results from their "scanner" I was bombarded by alarming messaging but no actual information about what breaches my data was present in. Not without... Signing up for an account! Imagine THAT!
If you're going to have popular people on YouTube advertise a free service, it needs to be FREE. No strings like an account attached. Especially when you put a banner on the top of your website about honouring my browser's Global Privacy Control (GCP)/No Tracking signal. What's even the point of that if you're just going to ask for my personal data to see my results? At this point I'm better off using a service like HaveIBeenPwnd who don't ask me for any data other than the email in question and give me my results immediately without all the scare tactics (minus sensitive breaches for obvious reasons).
Poor excuse for a "service" and based on inspecting the traffic between my browser and their site they don't even offer accurate results. HaveIBeenPwnd finds 25 breaches where as they only find 10.
Will not be using or giving them my personal data.
Edit 2026-07-15: I have been reached out to by Omniwatch and had a short (one message from them, one reply by me) email exchange with them after they requested my contact details via Trustpilot or else this review would go to Trustpilot to be potentially taken down. I have responded to them explaining why I reviewed as I have and provided some of the evidence I collected that formed the basis of this review.
As mentioned in the email to them, the "free" scanner uses two dialog boxes that display progress bars just before prompting you to make an account. Both progress bars are completely simulated and do not reflect anything actually happening on their servers or in your browser. It was this behaviour that prompted me to write my review and score it as I have. It is my intention for this star rating to stand until this marketing practice is addressed, as a starting point.
I have expressed clearly to Omniwatch that I do not intent to change my star rating until the above mentioned marketing practice is addressed.
