Good at taking your money but no follow up…

Like other reviewers I received dreadful service. The magazine I ordered never arrived, they took ages to deal with queries, claimed it had been delivered and failed to follow up when I said had not. No apologies, no offer to refund or replace which left me ha I g to reclaim via credit card. These businesses rely on customer inertia so do not trust them.

Reiterating what others have said, don't use this company.
There seems to be two lots of reviews for this company so I'm leaving one here too, I ordered a one off magazine and never received, having to keep sending numerous emails to ask where it is, each time I'm promised that it's been sent but never arrives.
I've requested a refund several times too, as well as where to address a complaint to, which is just ignored.

Iwish I could give a minus number for…

I wish I could give a minus number for this review even that would be too generous.I have been waiting for a subscription magazine since the 16th of April despite contacting them three times the same apologies each time stating magazine would be sent.Although I have managed to cancel my subscription & get a refund but I had already paid for missing issue

Deplorable

Over many months - in fact, years - of not receiving various issues of the Gardens Illustrated magazine despite being a long-time subscriber (11 years), and despite messages sent by email and via their website, their service remains untrustworthy for deliveries going beyond Europe (one of my subscriptions goes to my elderly father in Australia). Their Customer Service, while replying in a relatively timely manner, is apparently helpless to ensure that actual deliveries are made, and that the deliveries contain the issues requested. GI used to be distributed by a decent company with very few mistakes, but this is not the case anymore.

What a awful service

I had to tap one star to be able to write this review.Really tgey deserve none.Paid for a year upfront subscription for sewing mag.Really pleased with the one I purchased in my supermarket.Decided to treat myself to the year of mags.paid in febuary, Received nothing to date and its 29th April..Two emails sent saying sorry its on its way.but it never arrived now I'm due my second mag don't hold up much chance of them turning up.
The email i received yesterday after I complained again,was a generic one as it was exactly the same as the first email I had off them even to the fact it had a fact that it was on it's way to me with due delivery for last months dates on it lol.Exact email resent me weeks in between each other.So that gave me no faith.spoke to some foreign guy when i rang yesterday and he said yes it's on its way and would be with me by the 8th of May.Could i pleade just wait that time to see.Idon't beleive it for one moment. I said yes I would wait and made it clear I was not happy with the service I have paid for.
If I don't get my copy I am going to ask for my money back.Hopefully the promise of putting my bad reviews of their company on tik tok .insta will make them pull their socks up.sadly I'm seeing I should of reviewed the service first although I shouldn't need to.
I see there are tons of them complaints of this our media .com online.swear to God if they don't give me my money back or copies by 8th I will be outside this address with a big banner and my live post on media to warn other people of these terrible business people scamming us for things they half heartedly honour their obligations.one aggravated person here.I know its only a mag but it's a lot of money for me to fork out in one go.Never again.

Our Media Shop appears to be fake!

An ad popped up on Instagram advertising 6 issues of BBC Wildlife magazine for £12. First issue would arrive March 14th. I set up a direct debit and waited. I’ve subscribed to this magazine before and I was able to link an old subscription to then new one. All seemed well. March 14th came and went but no magazine. I waited until the 20th and filled a ‘magazine didn’t get delivered’ complaint through their automated service on the website. Heard nothing. Looked them up on trust pilot and nothing but bad reviews. Figured I’d been scammed. Cancelled the direct debit and looked to the BBC wildlife magazine website to subscribe through the legitimate provider but guess what…the link sends to Our Media Shop! For me that makes the BBC responsible too. Are this company fake or just not good at doing what they are supposed to do? I’ve taken them to task on Twitter and left a review here to try to get to the bottom of all of this, get the magazine and maybe my £12 back!

BBC Science Focus…

Been a subscriber to BBC Science Focus magazine for over 20 years, long before it became owned by the BBC.
Without any warning, and no request from me, they have cancelled my subscription! No email contact, nothing. The magazine just didn't arrive.
Emailed EVERYONE on their website, tried calling; zero response. So that's that. No magazine anymore. It was going downhill anyway, dumbed down, vast amounts of typos, repeating articles etc.
I'm not going to subscribe to them myself as this was not my doing and they a/ owe me an apology, and b/ a free period!

Awful! Purchased a subscription to a quilting…

Purchased a subscription to a quilting magazine as a Christmas gift and haven’t received any, not a single one. No response to emails sent to ‘customer service’, just an automated response claiming they’d respond within 48 hours. What a joke. Sadly it was an expensive subscription as it’s international. If I could give zero stars I would.

Issue 260 of Simply Knitting not sent…

Issue 260 of Simply Knitting not sent out this month to subscribers. Customer Service said wait 10 days and when contacted again said all issues of 260 out of stock. This is appalling service, it's in the shops yet subscriber's not sent their copy.

Trying to cancel my subscription

Tried to cancel my subscription to a magazine. Instructions on website:

'If you do not wish to receive the remaining issues of your subscription contract, we can refund you for any un-mailed issues if you notify us when cancelling. You can see how many issues you have remaining by logging into your account. You must create an account to see this information. You can create an account here.'

Created an account but unable to log on to website, just get mailer errors. I would like a refund on my undelivered issues but reading the other reviews it looks unlikely...

print is dead ? certainly moribund at "our media"

I like many others here I wish I could give 0 stars.
Just a bad product which is clearly publisher problem how can you have these"quality" titles and run such a bad product i'm talking about the paper quality the reprinted /reused articles/editorials just poor nothing that you cant get for free on the internet. How can this be so bad?.This stinks of let's cut corners and get out what money we can before it goes down.Its an insult to the readers and the people who are making the magazines. corporate greed and mismanagement.

Appears to be an untrustworthy company

I’m so glad I read these comments. I have tried to contact them by email five times in order to clarify an offer they were promoting, before purchasing a subscription. I never received any reply, despite copying in the CEO. Thankfully I never took out a subscription. Having read these comments I certainly won’t be.

I wish I could give 0 stars to this company. I have had an annual subscription to BBC Science Focus magazine for my grandson for 2-3 years, through the Tesco Clubcard deal. I did this as normal this October. The deal was for 14 issues, and was part paid by Clubcard vouchers. I asked how I could pay the balance. After a stream of correspondence I was told the 14 issues were confirmed. But I now find I have only been given a 6-month subscription and the price has gone up if I want to extend it! No amount of correspondence has resolved this. Disgraceful. I keep being told 'we are investigating', and get a different answer each time, waiting days and weeks for a response. Avoid this company as I will in future! A pity, because my grandson absolutely loves this magazine and looks forward to receiving it each month.

Since writing this review I have received further correspondence from OurMedia, and I have been promised the 14 issues that I ordered. Let us hope there are no further hitches with my order.

Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering a trial! Lesson learned! They renew subscriptions so far in advance you don't have any chance of cancelling, and then won't refund. They lie, there are miraculously never any managers on, nobody from the complaints team - which I actually think doesn't exist! DO NOT TOUCH!

Web based theives

Shame you can’t give no star. Took money, never delivered anything, contact us on website non functional (just gives an error). Phone is a waste of time, they just lie through their teeth. Just common thieves, wish I had read reviews before buying.

Scam artists

Placed an order on 1st September for the World of Cross Stitch magazine October edition. Money came out of my account 2nd September. Never received any follow up email with shipping details etc. Contacted them after a couple of weeks to enquire and they advised on 18th September that they apologised for the delay but confirmed my order had been received and processed and to allow up to 14 days for delivery. Still zero sign of it so I emailed them again at the weekend and they’ve said they will send a replacement copy but at this point I don’t believe them.

Crafty buggers

Crafty buggers. I had a letter to inform me that money will be taken out my account (£32.35) for 6 issues of the Sky At Night Magazine. I rang immediately to cancel my subscription. They confirmed it was now cancelled (person called Anastasia). Then I get an email from the confirming the cancellation worded as:

"Further to your recent communication I can confirm in accordance with your instructions to cancel, your subscription will cease with the issue shown below.
Expiry Issue: MAY 2025 - onsale date 12.04.2025"

So I was due one more issue for October 2024, then they were going to take more money from me which would have ended my subscription in May 2025!

So when you attempt to reply to their email (bbcskyatnight [at] buysubscriptions.com) you get a MAILER-DAEMON delivery failure message. There also is no email contact on their web-site's contact-us page.
So you have no choice but to ring them back.

I rang them back and asked which bit of CANCEL my subscription did you not understand? They said your current subscription has one more issue left (Otcober 2024) and then there will be payment taken sometime after for the next 6 issues. I was fuming - so made it clear I want to cancel everything. Only then did it sink in that I want to stop my subscription.

That is as sign of a crafty company with dishonest practices. I will never use them again!!

I subscribed to a wildlife magazine. I didn't receive any copy. Every time I reach out to their "service desk", they reply with a standard email.

After three months, I have given up. I don't believe that this is a real shop.
