Little coverage amount and slow process, if any

they are deceptive in their sales pitch. you cant see the contract until you sign up and then when you look at it, the details make you want to cancel. There is a $7500 limit on the total amount of coverage for repairs, unless your car is worth less and then it is that number. The claims process is long and pitiful and many legitimate repair shops and dealerships don't take Ox. I mean you are paying $3-4000 for coverage that might not be approved but only up to $7500. also, when i made the payment for the "new" policy before i could see it, they cancelled the existing policy. So now, after reading the new policy and cancelling it they said my old one is cancelled and get be reinstated for its remaining term. So, they get the benefit that happening. Its a scam. They are only out to get your money. Makes no sense to sign up

Ox car care are SCAMMERS

Ox car care are SCAMMERS. They will not fix anything. I had 5 policies I submitted all my maintenance records. Still they denied my claim. Scammers. They would not email or mail me a letter of my claim being denied but only told me. Both me and the repair shop submitted maintenance records like the Warranty says. I keep getting to run around. I keep getting transferred. Over and over and over. I’m done with Ox. they kept my car in the repair shop for over a month. They never fix anything. i’m still waiting on them to fix my 2013 Dodge ram.

Filed a (2) claims with ox car care for…

Filed a (2) claims with ox car care for 2015 dodge. Been trying to get help about my claims to proceed forward. Ox car care customer relations are giving me the transfer call back and forth since 11/2/25.
The Heads are down from Repair Shops to a No! We do not take Ox care care or any 3rd party auto warranties. I have an Auto warranty Diamond policy with Ox Carcare and two claims in process. All I get from Ox Carcare Customer Service is the run around phone tag with phone disconnect when on hold and still no service thru Mepco who bill me every month. why is this Bad experience happening to me.....

My experience with Mepco / Ox Car Care…

My experience with Mepco / Ox Car Care has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I purchased their coverage thinking it would give me peace of mind if my car needed repairs, but it has been the opposite.

Major Issues:

No Service Centers Accept Them: I called around to multiple reputable auto repair shops in my area, and not a single one would work with Ox Car Care. Every mechanic I spoke with said they either don’t deal with them at all or have had nothing but problems.

Worthless Coverage in Practice: Having a “warranty” that no shop will accept makes the contract practically useless. I ended up having to pay out-of-pocket for major repairs that should have been covered.

Misleading Sales Pitch: When I signed up, the plan was marketed as broad coverage with nationwide acceptance. That has not been my reality.

Bottom Line:
This warranty has been a waste of money and time. If no shops will honor the coverage, then it’s not real protection—it’s just a monthly payment for nothing. I would strongly advise anyone considering Mepco / Ox Car Care to do their research and avoid this company.

They're a bunch of Thieves

They're a bunch of Thieves after trying to cancel a policy and being put on hold for 40 minutes I was reassured that my money would be put back in 5 to 7 days that didn't happen instead 3 weeks later they took out $164. And here it is the end of August and still no money.

claim has been going for over a month

claim has been going for over a month, each time I check on my claim they asked for more information about the truck, or an inspector has to inspect the truck. Today (08/15/2025) they asked for copy of sales invoice, to verify mileage when purchased.

buyer beware, dont ignore the reviews, they are as bad as the reviews say

I ended up totaling out my vehicle. I called to cancel my policy, and they still giving me the run around on canceling my policy. I been trying for a month to cancel my policy. when I call and ask to cancel my policy they put me on hold and leave me there all day.
Do NOT USE OX CAR CARE, I REPEAT!!!!!! DO NOT USE OX CAR CARE!!!! You will be sorry you did.

False advertising, horrible warranty not worth the hassle AT ALL!

I experienced an emergency breakdown of my car while driving out of state for business.
I followed the proper procedures as advised by the sales associate (I bought three separate platinum plans for my cars over a month prior and asked how to go about claims). I was stranded waiting for them to review. One day later they stated that they needed an adjuster to come out and required maintenance records on my car for the last year. I had the records so I emailed them. It is July 18th and they still have not reimbursed me or processed my claim. I had to get a hotel to stay while waiting, they stated they do not cover hotel stay. They stated that the radiator leak, and associated parts are not all covered and are denying my claim. I called to cancel with the 100%money back guarantee and was reminded that with platinum service it provides $500 for accommodations, including hotel stay!!! I made them aware that I was actually denied that given my breakdown in Kansas (I’m from Texas) June 21st. Thankfully part of my car warranty was still in place and covered part of the $4100 repair. While on the phone discussing this with Lydia and her Supervisor the call was abruptly ended and I had to call back. I requested refund of my 3 policies for my 3 cars and was told that It is beyond the 30 days of policy activation, basically not honoring the 100%money back guarantee. This is not worth the hassle of interacting with them. They don’t tell you everything up front and use every possible reason to deny claims.

Dodged a bullet.

Spent over 45 minutes to an hour talking with them I wanted to get coverage for 4 cars. They will not give me any details on what is covered until I signed a contract with them then I would have 30 days to review it and cancel. I have a Tesla and was asking if they would cover the battery they would cover up to $7500 but they can only pay $2000 a year. Everything was so sketchy then I decided to look up the reviews and I feel like I dodged a bullet

THIS OX CAR CARE WARRANTY IS A RIP OFF!!! MY 2014 LAND ROVER LR4 HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP STARTS ON JANUARY OF 2025. THE MECHANIC ROB WHO HAS BEEN VERY PATIENT WITH THIS OX CAR CARE WARRANTY COMPANY. HE EMAILED THEM THE 1ST WORK ORDER. THE OX CAR CARE CLAIMS REP SAID THAT SOME PARTS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER MY POLICY. THEN ROB SENT IN A 2ND WORK ORDER 4X AND THEY DIDN'T REPLY UNTIL I SENT THEM AN EMAIL ASKING FOR A UPDATE. I'VE HAD THIS POLICY STARTED AROUND MAY OF 2024. PAYING 175.00 A MONTH TO THIS DAY. AND THEY WON'T EVEN COVER THE ENGINE. SO I MIGHT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF MY POCKET. I'M WRITING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I'M PISSED AT OX CAR CARE.

Actually ZERO stars

Actually ZERO stars. I purchased the Platinum package and they started off bad. I selected a top rated local repair shop with stellar service. Ox told me I needed either a car fax or repair history. I have no issues with my car so paid $50 for a car fax only to be told no you need a repair history.. but the repair is IN THE CARFAX. Then finally they approved and now 3 weeks after my car is repaired they are NOT paying but giving excuse after excuse saying the repair shop is on the "Call-back" list to be paid. They are crooks, liers, and should be SHUT DOWN. My mental health has suffered from trying to deal with these low life scam artist!!!!!!

I canceled my contract a year and a half ago and still have not received my money. It’s just a big run around month after month. I don’t know who to contact at their main office like a CEO or somebody really in charge their people you talk to customer service won’t do anything. They just lied to you. As a former employee i do not recommend this company. I will not give details but their sales tactics are insane and they are 0% truthful. Dont give them your money because thats what you are pretty much doing.

Everything went wrong with aux care they are a total scam they will cost you more money than what your warranty will cost you just with them delaying your vehicle and the shop for over a month just for you trying to call them and be in contact with them they do not answer their phone this is absolutely the worst company I would love to have someone go there and just talk to them very sternly like putting their nose in dog s*** don't ever use them for any reason they'll tell you the world and they will pay you nothing they are the biggest scam they should go to jail for being a fraudulent company and I'm taking him to court and I am going to try to push it as far as I can, not to mention I am going to have someone put their nose in dog s*** on the ground

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. They didn't honor the 2 claims we had in 2 years. When we tried to cancel our policies (2) it was a run around. Nasty phone calls and emails. We had to put a stop payment at our bank. Then Mepco started with their emails. They give you a run around.

Best protection service

I had the BEST SERVICE with OxCare. Took my vehicl to dealership had services donr. Submitted service invoice at dealership to OxCare. They confifmed and paid bill to dealership in minutes. Luis Garcis was fantastic.

I am an Ox Car Care Customer who…


I am an Ox Car Care Customer who recently filed a claim for a failed piston in my truck. I took my truck to an ASE Certified Ford Dealer who found the issue through a Compression Test. OX requested and I provided consistent service and maintenance records dating back to 2018. Ox assigned an investigator who requested more information from the Dealer service department. The service department then conducted a wet test to further show that the piston had completely failed. Ox still denied my claim. I contacted the claim department (Luan H, California) who was very rude and just kept saying, “Your claim has been denied”. Be would not explain why or explain how they reached that conclusion. When I pressed he for more information, he then hung up on me when I questioned him about speaking to a supervisor. I plan to take my vehicle to a separate Ford ASE Dealer for a second opinion and if found to be the same, will take further action with a reputable fraud attorney against this company and continue informing the public of my experience with them. Of note, I have not stopped payment on my contract with them and they surely have not stopped taking money from my account. Be aware of their practices and I will update this post after taking my next steps.

Down Payment Refund

I gave a one-star rating because that's the lowest I could give.I decided to start a policy and put down 198.00. I was told that the policy would not start for thirty days 4/6/25, and if I wanted the policy to start sooner my vehicle would have to pass a 12-point inspection. My vehicle did not pass the inspection, and I was told that my car could not be insured.
The initial policy was canceled 3/6/25 and I was told by customer support that it would take 60 days to get my down-payment back. However, after 60 days I was told that my down payment was not refundable because the policy is month to month, however since I never had an active policy, payment should be return. This company is so petty
