Marvellous Mandy
I could not praise my tutor Mandy Skinner more highly. She was amazingly supportive and more on top of what I had done than I was!! I could not have completed my level 3 without her support and organisation. I’m not sure when she sleeps, as she answered emails at 11pm that I sent hoping for a reply sometime the next day!! I really could not have asked for a better tutor. She goes above and beyond in any way she can to make it easier for her students. I honestly don’t know how she does it. Thank you so much Mandy. You are brilliant!

Mandy Skinner was an exceptional tutor throughout my apprenticeship. She was always supportive, kind, knowledgeable, and patient, taking the time to accommodate my needs and address any worries I had. She consistently encouraged me, praised my efforts, and gave me the confidence to keep progressing. Achieving a Distinction is not only a reflection of my hard work but also of Mandy's outstanding guidance and support. I am truly grateful for everything she has done and would highly recommend her as a tutor.
While I was very happy with the support I received during my apprenticeship, I have been disappointed with the follow-up after completing my exam. It has been over three months since I passed, yet my portfolio still shows 0% for the EPA, and I have not received my VTCT Skills Certificate. I hope this can be resolved soon, as clearer communication and more timely updates after completion would greatly improve the overall learner experience. Thank you, Elena Badea.

Overall my experience with parents has…
Overall my experience with parents has been positive, the way my course was worked out made the whole thing feel very intense and I struggled to keep up with the pace. But I owe a huge thanks to my tutor, Mandy, who persevered with me and really encouraged me to keep going with it, especially when I was considering a break from learning. Mandy was consistent, patient, incredibly knowledgeable and so supportive through out. I really couldn't have got through with out her dedication to her job, I quickly felt comfortable learning with Mandy and she some how got me through it when I was flagging on our Friday afternoon sessions!
The tutor on my teaching session were also all lovely and I found having those sessions really helped me get through the tasks set.
Communication could have been a little bit better from parenta, I was was left with out anyone to contact and struggled when my tutor was away from work and I was told I would be contacted by another tutor but that sadly didn't happen, and with out that support in between it did cause me to fall behind.
Despite the ups and downs, it was a really informative course; I feel like I've taken so much away from it and feeling well equipt to go through EPA and to continue my career in early years.

Overall with my time with Parenta was…
Overall with my time with Parenta was up and down , at the beginning of my course I keep have different tutors witch had an effect with my learning and confidence and then my last tutor was really good and really helpful .
Also through my course I did not feel that my EHCP was not took as seriously as it should be , it was kind of forgotten about .

So far I have had an amazing experience with Parenta and especially my tutor, Nicky Newport. I did my Level 2 with her and now I am doing my Level 3. Nicky has supported me all the way through, especially when I struggled and wanted to give up as I was finding it difficult to juggle homelife, work and my apprenticeship. Her professional approach is very empathetic and caring and she is always reachable. I would recommend Parenta to my friends and family as they have been extremely supportive throughout my journey.

Alright
All around, my experience with parenta was awful. It took me over 2 years to even get to gateway for exams. Switching between tutors and being left for long periods of time with no work or tutor. However, the last tutor I had was Lisa Freeman and she was amazing. She really helped me though the last stages of my course and really helped me speed the process up. She is so understanding and always made time for me. If it wasn’t for Lisa, I don’t know If I would’ve been able to Finnish.

I'm fairly new to Parenta and Abacus and the staff are always on hand. The training sessions offered are bespoke and staff certainly know their stuff!

Parenta keep removing and reporting…
Parenta keep removing and reporting reviews to get them removed which are a genuine reflection and my honest opinion on how poor the company actually is.
I think its baffling theyre more concerned by my reviews than trying to make actual improvements

I don't enjoy writing reviews like this, but after my experience with Parenta I feel people deserve to know what they might be walking into, especially when it concerns their education (something I am truly passionate about)
The entire culture of this company revolves around sales and nothing else.
Customer outcomes, staff wellbeing, and ethical practice are all second to hitting numbers.
Ironically, despite this relentless pressure, the company itself regularly fails to hit even 50% of its own sales targets, which says a lot about how ineffective the approach actually is.
One thing that wasd most concerning was the treatment of disabled employees. Instead of fostering an inclusive workplace, the environment felt dismissive and at times openly hostile toward anyone who required flexibility or support. For a modern company, this was genuinely shocking and completely oxymoronic with their company ethos.
Staff are pushed extremely hard to meet unrealistic expectations, and the atmosphere becomes one of constant pressure, and blame, rather than collaboration or professionalism. It created a workplace where employees feel disposable and undervalued.
Oh, and the entirity of the companies sales processes, targets, scripts and organisation is run through ChatGPT.
I am not entirely sure what they would do in a pre-GPT world.
When a company prioritises aggressive sales above everything else, it inevitably affects the quality of service and advice customers receive.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that both potential employees and customers look elsewhere. There are many companies that operate ethically and treat people with respect — unfortunately, this was not one of them. I would genuinely use any other training provider.
