Completing my Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner EPA has been a highly rewarding and positive experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it both engaging and professionally enriching. Throughout the programme, I successfully completed all assignments and developed a much deeper understanding of key theories, frameworks, and legislation that directly underpin my practice within a residential care setting. The course strengthened my ability to apply theory to real-life situations, improved my reflective practice, and enhanced my confidence in delivering high-quality care and support to young people. I now feel far more competent in linking policy, regulation, and theory to my day-to-day responsibilities, which has had a clear positive impact on my practice.

A huge part of my success is down to the exceptional support from my tutor, Chloe Hughes. Chloe was consistently approachable, encouraging, and invested in my progress from start to finish. She provided clear guidance, valuable resources, and practical tips on how to structure assignments and meet the required standards for the highest grades. Her feedback was always constructive and motivating, pushing me to improve while recognising my strengths. Thanks to her ongoing support and belief in my ability, I achieved a triple Distinction, which I am incredibly proud of. I genuinely credit Chloe for playing a significant role in this achievement, and I would highly recommend both the course and her support to anyone looking to progress in this field.

Im currently waiting for my EPA for my level 4 children, young people and families practitioner apprenticeship standard. When I first started the course, it was more of a necessity through work. I visioned my time at school and dreaded the thought of learning 35 years later, knowing that my teachers had very little faith in my abilities, or me. Fast forward 35 year and I meet my tutor Tavi Dhillon on teams. The first session was chaotic due to what had been imprinted in my brain, I came un prepared and a nervous wreck.But Tavi was not having any of that. She made me believe in myself, she pushed me when I needed it, but most of all, she believed in me, and this was the turning point and my new found love of learning, and more so, how traumatic childhood experiences do not have to ruin our chances of great things for ourselves. One person (Tavi Dhillon) believed in me, and now I believe in me.. My learning won't stop here..its a wonderful thing and I absolutely love learning now. I just wish there was a Tavi Dhillon all them years ago.. so thankyou Tavi. From your once chaotic learner, Kristen.

My tutor Helen was amazing and very supportive right up until after my EPA. She had faith in me when I didnt have it in myself and helped me as much as she could to get through. I wouldn't have passed without her

I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare with Chloe Hughes, and I want to say a massive thank you for all of Chloe’s support throughout the course. I honestly don’t think I would have completed it without her. She was amazing from start to finish, especially when I was going through a really difficult time personally.

She was so patient and understanding with me and always made sure I had the support I needed. She checked in on me a lot, helped me stay motivated, and never made me feel pressured when I was struggling. She even supported me outside of office hours at times, which I’ll always be grateful for.

I had a really positive experience with Partnership Training while completing my NVQ Level 4. My tutor, Sonia Spittle, was extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and always encouraging. She tailored her approach to suit my learning style, which really helped build my confidence throughout the course. I have recently completed my Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care . I really appreciate my tutor Sonia Spittle who I regard I the best tutor in the world . Sonia’s experience and knowledge in the industry helped me massively to learn and understand the my studies . My experience was rocky at first i had a few different tutors and work life balance was a struggle . I was then assigned clare wilson as my tutor and she has been amazing from start to finish . The support was amazing . Clare has been very consistant I would not have completed this with out her so a huge thank you !!

I am the registered manager of a children's home and Sonia Spittle has been the tutor for 5 of my staff. Sonia has been amazing and I always request for Sonia to continue working with any of my new staff going forward as she really takes the time and patience with the staff to get them through their Diplomas. Sonia has worked really well with myself liaising excellently and putting extra support in place with staff that needs it. Sonia really gets the best out of people and I would always reccommend Sonia.

I have just completed my level 4 lead practitioner in adult care with Sarah. The course it's self was easy to navigate and I enjoyed it. I found juggling work, family and also health issues hard but somehow managed it. The end point assessment for me was one of the kost nerve racking things ive had to do. But I managed it and passed my course. Very happy with my new skills xx

Amy went far beyond the role of a tutor. She became a vital part of my support network and someone I trusted as a professional confidant. From the very beginning, she took the time to understand me as an individual—not just as a learner—which completely transformed my apprenticeship experience.

She created a safe and supportive space where I could celebrate my achievements and resilience, but also be honest about challenges and frustrations. I always felt truly heard, my experiences were validated, and Amy consistently supported me to think creatively and push through both professional and personal barriers.

What stood out most was her dedication. I never once dreaded a session—in fact, I looked forward to them. Amy was always approachable, flexible, and willing to adapt her teaching style to suit how I learn best. Nothing ever felt like a “tick-box exercise”; everything was meaningful, personalised, and genuinely focused on my development.
