We are a small Italian family tailor shop that makes bespoke ties, scarves and pocket-squares, where everything is handmade by me and my wife Marta in our tailor's house near Milan; just think that in each of our ancient 7 folds there are almost two meters of hem all handmade. And all the fabrics you see in our shop are vintage, so still hand-printed between 1970 and 1990. And we can only produce a few pieces a day. Also on our online shop you can choose the measurements you want of length and width, in cm or in inches, of your tie, and whether to have your initials embroidered, again on the back of the tie. Although the tie is beautiful, the delivery time was horrible. Almost 3 month's!

Elegant and well made ties
I have bought several ties and they are elegant and beautifully made. I strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to be well dressed

I received today four ties. They are obviously of high quality and quite beautiful. As I haven’t worked with Gianni before, I was quite concerned by the fact that it took more time than initially expected for me to receive them. However, they are — without question — high quality ties. Excellent material, beautiful, and the seven folds have been done very well.

I ordered on 23.06.24, after several e-Mails with excuse’s, till now I didn’t receive the tie. Now it’s 21.10.24. I can’t say nothing about the Tie quality because I did not receive it.

Flimsy ties and atrocious customer service
I initially ordered a tie in November 2023. After hearing nothing for two months, I was told merely that the tie will 'ship soon', followed by radio silence. After chasing him on both email and Instagram DM, the tie finally was shipped in mid-February.
The tie was of bad quality, too tightly pulled, and the lining so lacking in fabric and weight (merely a thin sheet of foam) that it wrinkled, creased, and rolled up on itself.
After sending pictures of the problem, Gianni agreed he had made a mistake and agreed to send two more ties instead of offering a full refund, to which I agreed. On the 3rd of July, Gianni said he had cut the ties personally and that they would be shipped immanently. I heard nothing for three weeks, and emailed asking where the promised shipping number was. I received no reply. I then emailed after another three weeks asking the same question. I received no reply. A month after having said the ties were ready, I am told 'the ties will ship next week' without an apology for not responding to my emails or the delay.
Gianni then went on holiday without shipping the ties after telling me the ties would have been shipped a week earlier. I then find out that he hasn't actually cut the ties, and says he will do it upon his return(!) What follows this is a repeating pattern of me asking him on both email and Instagram why he hasn't shipped the ties and what is going on, and him replying after weeks or not at all, repeatedly assuring me that my 'ties will ship next week'. With all due respect, I think this man doesn't know what 'your ties will ship next week' means.
Very respectfully, I said that I was upset about the delay and his false reassurances, as well as his disrespectful delays in answering my messages. Nevertheless, I did not receive any apology, merely additional assurances that the ties would ship 'next week'. My messages were increasingly frustrated.
Still, the tailor did not seem to understand how incredible infuriated I was.
After endless back and forths with continually revised shipping dates, the ties were finally shipped on 14 September. One of these ties is again very flimsy. This apparently is a design choice, and some people might prefer it. If so, maybe this is fine for you. For me, the wrinkles are not appealing. The second replacement tie provided has more substance and appears to be of impressive quality.
After a year trapped in this Groundhog Day-scenario, I am glad to finally close this chapter of my life.

Very Disappointed Customer
I ordered a tie from this company on July 19, 2024 It is now September 29, 2024 and I have yet to receive the merchandise I paid for. I keep sending emails and someone replies with your tie will ship soon but nothing. I don't think I will be buying anything from them again. I'm not sure if they will even respond if I try and get my money back

Wonderful!
Great product, slow delivery
In terms of quality of the product it is a 5/5, I love my ties. They have great quality and nice patterns. I am quite tall and broad shouldered so having the option of getting ties that were a bit broader and most of all longer was a big upside.
What can be improved is the lead time and communication regarding it. My order took almost three months and it was only when contacting Ginni and highlighting this that the ties were shipped.
For a first time buyer that was a bit stressful as I did throw a lot of money on something that didn’t show up.
A simple self tracking system or an email communicating delays would bee sufficient to ease the customer’s mind.
I will definitely shop here again for future ties, but I would recommend customers be mindful that delivery may be slower than the 30 days communicated on the website.

Been waiting for 5 months now for my…
Been waiting for 5 months now for my order. For the last 2 months I have been trying to get my money back, without any success yet. Must be more than 10 e-mails so far, all waste of time. This place really isn´t delivering, what it promises to deliver and the owner just lies and gives empty promises constantly. I would advice you to avoid this company.

Room for improvement
My first order placed and paid march 2024, with a 30-day delivery promise.
Still waiting at the end of May.
No response to email enquiries at their given info address.

Got kind replies after this review, so hopefully only a question of delivery delay of months.
Still waiting for the goods.
Edit 23rd June.
The tie arrived. Silk as promised, hand-made as promised. Without the embroidery that was paid, and with mediocre quality.
All in all, a lot of room for improvement!
Edit June 27th: Got in contact with the company who acknowledged the missing customisation and asked me kindly to send the tie back for repair, so I mailed the Tie back to be repaired today.
Edit 7/7 Haven't heard anything, but according to postal tracking the company received the tie 4 days ago.
Edit 17/8 Got the tie back with the correct customisation, so the saga is almost over.

Having been trying to contact Gianni to refund the postage costs I had to pay to send the tie back for repairs. He sent me a promise of taking care of this on Monday, but it's already been a few Mondays and now he's not even responding emails anymore. Beware of the seller, avoid at all cost.
Final? Edit 25.10.2024 After having been forced to contacting the ECC customer service office, the vendor finally refunded the postage costs so this saga is finally ending. Luckily there are better options in the future, but beware all customers and hopefully there will be improvements in customer care in the future.
As for the quality of the product, the manufacturer label dropped off with the first use, so I can only hope that the sewing of the tie is of better quality.
In conclusion, terrible customer service. Main things to be improved in the future:
- extremely slow production before delivery - just give a more truthful estimate (ie. It will take several months)
- arrogant reply to emails (just calm down and try to respect your customers)
- business will probably not be long-lived when not even fulfilling the basic customer rights.

Unparalleled Craftsmanship
Unparalleled Craftsmanship, great service. Highly recommended. I am a three time customer, and have had a great experience. Gianni has been prompt and responsive in communication, and the ties are wonderful. These ties are handcrafted, and like any other hand made product, it takes some time before they ship. Your patience will be rewarded, as the fabric and work are fantastic.

I can only speak to what my experience has been. It has been five months since I placed my order and I still have no idea where my tie is. The tracking # shows it is in transit. I have contacted Gianni and the post office. The post office was more responsive than Gianni. About three weeks ago I finally contacted the credit card company. The ties are great but customer service is non-existent. The first tie arrived in a timely manner. The second tie, this one, has yet to arrive. I have a third tie on order, well who knows, just hope for the best. Again, this is based only on my experience.

Very nice product if you want to wait
The timing on the return of the ties was rather long. For my first order, approximately 90 days. I sent an email and received a prompt response (which is good) but still had to wait longer than anticipated. This is not the end of the world, and I though the ties were worth the wait, but I think if we are advised that it's going to take longer than advertised, it would be much easier to accept.
I also think it should be noted on the website that the ties are self tipped or untipped. I like and wear both styles. And I think the ties I received from Passagio Cravatte (all untipped) are beautiful and even unique. Quality appears to be very excellent. But more information on the website would helpful.

Gianni - the owner corresponded with me directly and helped me pick out a pocket square for my wedding suit, which was beautiful.
3 months to get a tie
3 months to get a tie! And you offered no concessions…a free tie or something. Terrible service

I ordered the tie on March 27 and got it 107 days later
I ordered the tie on March 27, 2024 and received it on July 12, 2024, 107 days later. Gianni Cerutti promised a quick solution to the problem serveral times, but still the tie did not arrive until much later. To be fair it was mailed to me 87 days after I ordered it.
The tie is fine, not the best ever, but I like the style. However, the long time for service was very disappointing and the repeated false promises made me worry that the business was a hoax.
Since Mr. Gianni Cerutti chooses to suggest this is my fault for not spending 10 euros extra, rather than saying he is sorry it took so long, I hereby include the exchanges between me and him:
March 27 - Gianni wrote: “So just keep in mind that it will takes up to 30 days for the item to be delivered to your doorstep. We are not Amazon ;)”
May 15 - I wrote: “I am writing concerning my order from March 2024. I was not worried because you mentioned that up to 30 days might pass until the tie would be delivered at my doorstep. It has now been 50 days and I have not heard from you. When can I expect my tie?”
May 25 – Gianni wrote: “Thank you for your email. We apologize for the late reply but we had a problem with email servers and we couldn't receive any emails. But now everything is solved luckly! Your tie is ready and I'll ship on Monday.”
May 26 – Gianni wrote: “Your order will be probably ready within this new week. By my wife and I doing everything by hand, and not finding anyone who wants to hem by hand, the time is getting longer; and in fact we are now 14 years behind schedule.”
June 12 – I wrote: “On May 25 you said my tie was ready to ship by Monday May 27. However, I did not get it, nor did I hear that it was already shipped. When can I expect it?”
June 13 – Gianni wrote: “Later I'll be in the tailor's shop and I'll check the shipments and I'll tell you, thanks for your patience.”
June 15 - Gianni wrote: “I wanted to let you know that your order is ready. Tomorrow I will check it personally and then package it. During the week, or Monday at the latest, I will go and send it and then I will send you your shipping number.”
June 19 I wrote: “Could you tell me when I can expect my order? On Thursday, last week, you said you would check the shipments, but I have not heard from you since.”
June 22 Gianni wrote: “I wanted to let you know that your order was shipped 3 days ago. … Thank you again for your patience, I can't wait for you to receive your order.”
So the simple thing is to not promise the tie within 30 days as Mr. Passagio did, but say it may take up to 105 days with the slow mail service.
Even reorganize your business to speed up production and just apologize that you could not deliver on time.
