Poor Materials, Shoddy Work, No Communication
Horrible company. Hard sell when they come to visit including a "discount" for signing while they are there. The sales guy couldn't even get their software to render our project correctly. They strongly hinted that it would take about 3 months to do the work. It took 13. At one point, to get the calculations required for the building permit, they said they had to "buy new software" - Geez, it is a patio. Their so-called expert had to visit 3 times to (re) measure and it was only on the last time that he realized that they had mis-measured one wall by a whole foot. Their manufacturing facility apparently only ships to Oregon once per month. Well, when they planned our project out, they didn't calculate the actual slope of the roof which meant they couldn't manufacture and send 2 of the window components along with the first shipment. Instead, they installed everything else and left plywood in those places. Then, when they supposedly ordered those 2 windows, they only ordered one of them. So after first installation we had to wait a month for 1 window and after that another month for the final window. The first of those windows took 2 guys 6 hours to install! The 2nd took one guy all day! In the first portion of the installation, 2 of the window panels were damaged. They installed them anyway and didn't say anything. I had to point it out. The materials are shoddy - exposed screws for example. The initial installers were a crew of 4. Only one of them spoke English and he wasn't here much of the time. At one point the other crew members resorted to Google Translate to ask me a simple question. The foreman who showed up a couple of times was an arrogant you know what. After installation, it rained, and it was clear that the gutter was not installed properly as there was water running between the gutter and the roof. Their solution: more caulking. Two attempts and it still isn't right. Caulking seems to be their solution to everything. The skylights are bound to fail. The glass is co-planar with the roof and sealed with some sort of adhesive tape rather than having the glass elevated from the roof as is the case with pretty much any other skylight. Now, 3 months after installation, the sliding door will not latch. Made an appointment with them to fix - he called and rescheduled, then didn't show up to the new time and didn't call/email. Their communication overall has been horrible. I could go on and on. I wish I had checked here before calling them.
