Stayting at premier inn next door....company booked me in for meal deal for three nights..... last night's food was so average.... crispy king prawns looked like they had been dredged out of a month old deep fryer..... had to take the coating off as I just couldn't put that in my body..... the 'king' prawns without the coating were approximately 30mm long and around 12mm diameter........ most certainly nothing 'king' surrounding this dish ....was £7 on the menu.....5 tiny prawns..... couldn't eat the salad it was limp and unappealing. Had mixed grill which was average eggs were cooked some hours before they got them served to me..... sausages were mushy (had cereals for breakfast next morning.... could never eat eggs and sausages like that again).....I asked for the 'triple cooked' chips with the mixed grill.... oh my oh my..... nothing like triple cooked.... again mushy undercooked bland..... reheated three times is more accurate. I've had to come in again tonight not feeling too optimistic but this is where work has booked me.... on entering waiting to be seated I literally got spoken to like a 5 year old having not prebooked through the Premier Inn reception..... too be fair didn't know I had to...... he walked me to what was clearly the worst location possible (plenty of spaces all over the pub).... right on the walkway next to the serving area...... wouldn't have been too surprised to be told to sit down say nothing fold my arms and put a 'dunce' cap on. I declined his offer and went and say in the bar area away from him..... the look on his face was perhaps the reason for the eggs turning to rubber. Can't understand why he's in hospitality at all. Zero people skills. The whole experience so far tonight is just uninviting and really don't want to be here. By the way....a pint of Madri is £6.10........ worst thing about it is that I've got to stay in this overpriced hostel again tomorrow! Avoid if you can.... Next time I'm in the region I will insist on being booked in somewhere else for sure, even if it means staying further from my contractor locations. Ps last night's female staff were really helpful and nice..... just the food was the problem.

Avoid this restaurant, not only because of the bugs we had in our food but also the customer service we experienced last night.

Absolutely disgusting, earwigs that were alive on our plates and running around our table.
Staff explained they couldn’t guarantee that there aren’t bugs and pests in their kitchen, there was no apology.

When I spoke with the manager he stood over me, thinking it was acceptable to try and intimidate me. He was far from professional!

They refused to take anything off the bill, so we paid in full. I explained I would be putting it over social media and reporting it, which then the manager tried to offer us free cocktails and a birthday cake, which we did not accept.

The food is excellent and service super excellent and most of all the waiter Connor made the day for us, on two occasions, he is an unusually gifted young man. Been there twice and cheerfully rate it 5***** the only drawback, a bit on the pricey side.

Lovely evening and great food as always. Special mention for the wonderful service from Taya, extremely friendly and attentive. We look forward to coming back.

I visited Beefeater Pavilion for the first time today (and the last) for breakfast, there was 8 of us the food was a Very Poor standard and the restaurant was dirty ... I could go on but it would take too long ... Very disappointed and to be charged £10.99 per breakfast come on Beefeater pull your socks up.

What a shame....... fabulous ambiance, great food but awful service. Get that right and you will be 5 stars.

Im not one for complaining but it was one mess after another.
Prebooked Sunday lunch a week in advance for 7 people on a birthday get together.
We were told on arrival they only had Gammon left. Some quests didn't like gammon so had to choose from a menu. So basically, the "walk ins" had a choice of our meats!
That's just for starters.
3 sliced (in half) mushrooms in garlic sauce on a small slice of white soggy bread - the menu said served on ciabatta.
Pate served with one half of a toasted bagel cut into small wedges - menu said served on ciabatta bread.
The gammon was like eating a bowl of salt.
Ordered chorizo and jalapeño pizza but received a plain pepperoni.
Roast potatoes were obviously boiled potatoes in skins then quick roasted for 10minutes or so.
Yorkshire puddings were small and like cake texture.
Nut roast was a roll of stuffing mixture - should have been butternut squash!
Gravy was as black as coal.

Basically, there was nothing left by the time we got there for our sitting at 5pm because we were told they had served 100 sittings when they usually do 30. Not the customers problem! A booking is a booking. You should know to cater for this set meal.
Absolutely shocking excuse when they've had our booking for over a week. The kitchen obviously had ran out of food so we had to make do with whatever they could muster together.
Overpriced for the quality of food we were served.
We received a discount but that doesn't cut bad planning, bad service and bad food.
The waiting staff and manager were lovely but the food should have been offered free of charge.

A group of friends and I went to Pavilion last night to celebrate a birthday and had a fantastic experience.

The food was quick in arriving (as were the wine and cocktails- although I only had one myself), presented well and tasted great.

This was only made better by George, our server, who was not only efficient but had a fantastic sense of humour along with it and added to the evening!

It was my first time at the restaurant and I will definitely be returning.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere upon entering. The staff were attentive and professional at all times. Gareth made the dining experience even better due to his attentiveness. Loved it and will be back soon!

It's just what a high quality restaurant should be. The whole experience from entering until leaving was sublime.

The food was excellent and well priced. The ambiance was cool and relaxed and we were very well looked after by Gareth, our waiter.

Even good eateries can be let down by staff but he was excellent; the right amount of attention at the right time. Totally professional.

Wow! What a beautiful place - hands down the right venue that my children brought me to celebrate my birthday with a special lunch - the atmosphere was amazing the food was delicious and filling - the drinks tasty and Gareth was our waiter and was attentive, funny and engaging, he explained the menu and the restaurant concept and at the end of our time there as a complete surprise, he brought out a special plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate with a scoop of delicious ice cream with a lighted candle!!! I made a wish and blew it out! Yum - the fish Bento Box - Yum! Squid, Prawn Toast, California Roll, Steak - all yum! Will make this a regular spot!

Had a graduation lunch with my family last Wednesday 19 July. It was really nice venue and food was nice too. How what was fantastic was Gareth’s service. He served 8 people and made us feel very welcome.

Not sure if they were short staffed but we had to wait an age for drinks orders and food to be taken and another age to be delivered. One item didn't turn up.
Kesi was very attentive and kind but it felt like the management and organisation of the customers and their orders could have been done so much better.

NEVER COMING BACK HERE.

Me and my friend came for New Year’s Eve 2021. We booked a 9:30pm table, they have a 2 hour limit on the table. However, booking a table at 9:30pm and getting kicked off at precisely 11:30, despite us spending HUNDREDS in there is a joke. We purposefully booked the later slot because realistically the kitchens would of shut long before then which is the truth. I witnessed the table next to me not being able to order food at 10:30pm, they were only allowed drinks. So I stand 100% corrected.

You need to sort your staff out in there, arrogant a***holes sum them up perfectly.

The food was bang average given the amount. Go to the noodle bar just up the street, authentic, genuine and you don’t get treated like garbage as I had to experience.

You would have to pay me twice what I paid to ever step foot back in here.

10/10 sh*thole.

Disgusting place! My son took his girlfriend here for an anniversary meal. Spent almost £100. My son settled the bill before they left via card, receipt and payment authorised.
My son gets home, receives a text message from the restaurant telling them they hadn’t paid and they need to come back and pay the bill!
Seriously?? Get your facts straight before hounding paying customers! Ruined a lovely evening for them both! Won’t be recommending to anyone! 🤬

Isaac was very attentive and was quick with serving our drinks. Couldn’t fault him, also, amazing atmosphere and drink quality wa a great.
